Chapter 166: Chapter 166: shiny seadra evolving ability
Exhausted from the wild, animalistic night with his girls and a steamy morning quickie in the bath, Ash left them resting in the cottage.
The room, once a chaotic war zone, now sparkled, thanks to his psychic powers swiftly tidying the mess.
Stepping outside, he inhaled the crisp morning air, laced with the scent of pine and damp earth from the surrounding forest.
A flicker of pride warmed his chest—he'd pushed his limits, and they'd all surrendered to the moment. Yet, as the cool breeze brushed his skin, a quiet question lingered in his mind: Was this intensity all he craved, or was something deeper calling?
After leaving the girls with a hearty breakfast on the cottage table, Ash strode to the beach, the salty tang of the sea sharpening his senses.
The sand glittered under the rising sun as he called out his shiny Horsea to train alongside Misty's female Horsea.
Misty stood nearby, her eyes bright with excitement, cheering as the two Pokémon unleashed sparkling Water Gun barrages and spiraling Twisters that churned the shallow waves.
Suddenly, a radiant glow enveloped both Horsea, their forms shimmering like liquid crystal.
"They're evolving!" Misty gasped, clutching Ash's arm.
When the light faded, two majestic Seadra emerged, their sapphire scales gleaming like polished gems against the ocean's backdrop.
Ash's mind buzzed as his internal system displayed his Seadra's stats:
Pokémon: Seadra♂️✨✨✨
Level: 45
Potential: Elite
Ability: Sniper
Skills: Leer, Water Gun, Twister, Firm Air Lotus
Intimacy: 225 (Max)
Items carried: None
A grin spread across Ash's face.
"Elite potential and Sniper? Perfect for precision strikes," he thought, already planning how Seadra's Twister could disrupt opponents in the league.
Misty's joyful shout pulled him back. "Look at mine! She's gorgeous!" Her Seadra flicked its tail, sending a spray of water that caught the sunlight in a rainbow arc.
Ash nodded, with Seadra he could dominate the some great battles in the league.
As Ash stood deep in thought, he suddenly remembered a system reward he had received long ago—the Magic Scale, an exclusive evolution item for the Horsea evolutionary line. This rare item had the unique ability to mutate the abilities of Pokémon in that line.
Without hesitation, he took out two shimmering Magic Scales and approached the newly evolved Seadra. Both Seadra—his and Misty's—happily accepted the items from Ash, their bodies glowing brightly as the scales fused with them.
Ash quickly checked his system interface again, and sure enough, both Seadra's abilities had been successfully mutated. Their former ability Sniper had evolved into a powerful upgraded form—Mega Sniper.
Mega Sniper:When hitting a vital point (critical hit), the damage is increased to 2.5 times the original amount.
Because Magic Scales are consumable props, Flash Seadra's item slot remained empty after the transformation.
Even more astonishing, the Sniper ability, which was naturally compatible with Seadra's battle style, had also evolved. Originally, Sniper increased damage by 1.5 times when landing a critical hit.
Now, with Mega Sniper, that multiplier had jumped dramatically:
The normal Snipe Shot boost: 1.5x
Mega Sniper ability boost: 2.5x
Combined critical hit damage: 1.5 x 2.5 = 3.75 times
That meant a single well-placed strike could now deal nearly four times the usual damage—a terrifying advantage in competitive battles.
Ash couldn't help but smirk. His Flash Seadra had just become a silent sniper capable of turning the tide of any fight with one decisive hit.
Misty, still sore from their intense night, arrived at the beach after enjoying Ash's heavenly breakfast.
She was accompanied by Cynthia and Sabrina, both of whom walked with wobbly, unsteady steps. As they reached the shore, they spotted Ash holding out two shimmering scales—similar in appearance to Dragon Scales—to a pair of Seadra, one shiny and one regular.
In an instant, Misty recognized the regular Seadra as her own newly evolved partner. Her face lit up with joy as she called out, "Ash! Is that really my Seadra?"
Ash turned toward her with a smile. "Yep. She evolved beautifully. I also gave both Seadra a Magic Scale—it's a rare evolution item that enhances their abilities."
Misty blinked in surprise. "Magic Scale? That's an insanely valuable prop! You gave one to my Seadra too?"
Ash chuckled as he walked over. "Of course I did. What? I'm just pampering one of my beautiful wives. Just enjoy it."
Overcome with happiness, Misty threw her arms around Ash and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You're the best, Ash."
Ash grinned, rubbing the back of his head. "Heh… anything for you."
Misty, still clinging to Ash after his sweet words and the rare Magic Scale gift, felt like she was floating. As she held his arm and leaned against his shoulder, her eyes sparkled with pride and mischief.
"Ah, what a man I have!" she thought smugly. "Handsome, kind, an amazing cook, strong trainer, thoughtful lover… and did I mention thoughtful? Meanwhile, my poor sisters are still prancing around trying to boost their beauty stats while staying single and, well… very untouched in their twenties."
She bit her lip to hide a giggle, imagining their shocked faces if they saw her now—pampered, loved, and walking beside the perfect man.
Cut to: Cerulean City Gym
The three Sensational Sisters—Daisy, Violet, and Lily—sneezed simultaneously.
Daisy blinked. "Ugh. Someone's totally talking behind our backs."
Violet stretched lazily on a lounge chair. "It's probably Misty bragging somewhere. Again."
Lily flipped her hair and frowned. "Speaking of which… When are we getting boyfriends? Like, real ones—not those flaky types who only want free gym tours."
A heavy silence fell.
Daisy cleared her throat. "I did go on a date last week…"
Violet raised an eyebrow. "With the guy who asked if your hair was real and then took your leftover fries?"
"...Yes."
Lily groaned. "My last date ghosted me mid-dessert because his ex texted."
Daisy added bitterly, "At least you made it to dessert. Mine asked for the WiFi password before saying hi."
The three sisters sighed together, sinking into their beanbags as a dark, gloomy cloud hovered over them.
Lily mumbled, "We're beautiful… fashionable… Why are we still single?"
Violet muttered, "Maybe we should start training Pokémon seriously instead of our selfie angles…"
Daisy, deadpan: "Let's not go that far."
Cut back to the beach
Misty smirked for no reason at all, basking in the sunshine and Ash's affection. "Ah, feels good to be the favorite daughter of fate."
Ash looked at her quizzically. "Everything okay?"
Misty beamed. "Just thinking how amazing my life is right now."
Ash then pulled out a shimmering Dragon Scale from his pouch and handed it to Misty with a smile."This will help our Seadra evolve into a Kingdra," he said warmly.
Misty's eyes widened with joy, and without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around Ash and pulled him into a passionate French kiss, her gratitude overflowing.
When they finally broke apart, breathless, Misty grinned and whispered, "You really know how to spoil a girl."
Ash chuckled, wiping the corner of her lips. "What can I say? Just pampering one of my lovely wives—enjoy it."
Behind them, Cynthia smirked and crossed her arms. "So, the water-type gets the first kiss of the day, huh?"
Sabrina, ever calm, deadpanned, "At this rate, we'll need a schedule just to get affection around here."
Ash turned with a grin. "Well, I wouldn't be much of a husband if I let anyone feel left out, now would I?"
With that, he stepped up to Sabrina and kissed her deeply, his hand gently cupping her cheek. Sabrina blinked once in surprise before closing her eyes and leaning in.
Then came Cynthia's turn. Ash pulled her close by the waist, dipped her like a scene from a romantic film, and kissed her with all the years of longing and reunion behind them.
When he finally pulled away, Cynthia's cheeks were flushed, and she playfully flicked his nose. "Show-off."
Ash laughed, then pulled all three women into a big group hug, his arms wide enough to hold them tight against him.
"I love all of you—equally. And I'm going to keep proving it every day," he said, kissing the tops of their heads.
