Pokemon: Reborn As Ash; Hoenn

Ash, "Your temple? You are the Head of Jiraichis, aren't you?"

Max gasped, "Really? That is amazing but that means you can't stay with us."

Jiraichi pat his head, -My apologies little one, but I have my duties to fulfill.-

Diance, "Anc dian diance di."

Jiraichi shook his head, -I also cannot have you wasting your time waiting for me either, little Princess. You are so young and have your own life to live and responsibilities to fulfill.-

Diance deflated, "Di di an."

Ash pat her head, "It's okay, sweetie. We will enjoy the time we have together now with Jiraichi okay?"

Diance nodded vigorously, "Di diance."

May, "So, where is this temple of yours Lord Jiraichi?"

Jiraichi looked pleased, 'These children are well mannered. I like them.'

Gou, "We can take you to the temple."

Molly, "You can count on us."

Jiraichi, -My temple is located in the middle of Forina. Many Jiraichis come there to restore their powers. If I am not there then, I am afraid it will fall to chaos.-

Ash, "Right despite the reputation of being the calmest Legendary you are still a powerful God level Pokemon. It will be problematic if every Jiraichi start fighting each other."

May shivered, "I do not even want to think about that situation."

Gou, "Okay, I have a route mapped out to Forina. Sadly there is no temple that is marked on this map so after reaching we should search for clues."

Max, "I think we can deal with that."

Molly, "If the temple is important then maybe it is hidden or something."

Ash pat her head, "That is a good point Molly. We should definitely keep an eye out for hidden enclaves and openings."

May, "Oooh! Treasure hunt style temple search. I am in."

Max, "By what time and day do we need to reach the temple, Jiraichi?"

Jiraichi hummed, -We need to reach in seven days, the next Jiraichi meeting will happen then. If I am not there to ensure order then the others might fight over who will be the next leader.-

Ash, "Let me guess other Jiraichis are from other regions."

Jiraichi nodded, -Yes, different regions so different clans. Honestly I just want to retire sometimes but as the only Alpha in the group I cannot do that.-

Gou, "Oof! And here I thought rowdy work mates were a human problem. You guys have to deal with it too."

Jiraichi, -Yes, though it is not as bad as the headache Lord Rayquaza has. He not only has to keep the Rayquaza clan in order but also the Groudon and Kyogre clans.-

Ash, "Something tells me we will be pulled into that this year."

May, "What? Why? I am just starting my journey."

Ash, "I am going to blame Team Magma and Team Aqua for it."

Gou took a deep breath then released it, "I think we should get a move on. Come on, we need to be there in seven days right?"

Jiraichi, -Yes, the millennium comet ritual is very important for us. It increases our powers and ability to grant wishes.-

Molly, "Really? So it's like a power booster for you. That is so cool."

Jiraichi, -Thank you. I only hope we can reach there early.-

Wild Absol jumped down, "Sol sol."

Lucario, -She says the path is clear. There is no one following us or ahead of us.-

Ash, "Perfect, let's go. Will the two of you lead the way, Gou, Absol?"

Gou, "Of course. Hey Absol, tell me if there are humans in the path I pick. We are trying to avoid poachers."

Absol nodded in agreement and Gou chose a path towards Forina, Absol did not protest so they decided it was safe to move. As they traveled Jiraichi talked to Diance about being a Legendary Pokemon and what it meant in the long run. According to Jiraichi even among Legendaries there was a strict hierarchy that they followed no matter what type of Pokemon they were. Lord Arceus was an Alpha and they ruled over not just the Arceus clan but also the rest of his creations which was the worked and it's living being. Diance was young and at the moment they could not tell if she would be an Alpha or not but if she did become an Alpha it would change things.

Ash was fascinated, "This is similar to the stories the Elders always tell us about the Legendary Pokemon."

May nodded, "Agreed!"

Gou, "I am adding this to my studies and sending a copy to Gary after we reach a City with more secure network."

Max, "That is really cool to learn about Jiraichi."

Molly, "Yeah, but wait... What about the Unown? Do they have an Alpha? There are so many of them."

Jiraichi, -Thank you Max. As for the Unown, they are at a unique position where they do not require an Alpha.-

Gou, "Eh? Why is that?"

Jiraichi, -They were originally created to be a source of connection between Pokemon and humans who were starting to create their own niche and spreading across planet.-

Ash, "Interesting, so humans developed their own thing while Pokemon chose evolution."

Jiraichi, -That is the simplest way to say it.-

May, "It's getting darker now."

Ash looked up, "Let's find a place to camp. A cave if possible. Come on!"

Gou, "You suspect they will send out searchers?"

Ash, "Yes, better to have safety covered instead of regretting it."

Lucario, -Do you know a place around here that we can use to hide?-

Wild Absol nodded and headed in a Western direction and they followed the canine and reached a river. They found a cave a few meters away from the river and set up camp for the night, they were in a wild area so there would be no light unless the moon was shining brightly. Later on Ash made dinner with May's help, it was a Hoenn special, Fondue with different types of fruits and cut bread around. Rosti, which was thinly grated potatoes crispy fried, Polenta with braised meat and Leckerli biscuits for dessert. For drinks they had water, milkshake and freshly squeezed fruit juice, which had Jiraichi drooling a bit.

Ash, "Here you go Jiraichi. A bit if everything to see which one you like."

Jiraichi, -Thank you, this smells very delicious.-

Max, "Eat up, you were asleep for a long time right?"

Molly, "You must be starving after sleeping for so long. I know I would be."

May, "Do not worry. We brought enough food to last for two weeks."

Gou, "Different stuff so you can try out different types of dishes and food."

Jiraichi softened, -Thank young ones. I truly appreciate the kind gesture. And no I am not exactly hungry but I am curious.-

Max, "Huh? How does that work?"

Molly, "How can anyone not be hungry after so long?"

Jiraichi smiled, -Aura, young ones. After a certain age you start circulating Aura and using it to replenish your energy.-

Ash, "That makes sense. I suppose it allows you to sleep without loosing health, though I am not sure if it will work for forced sleeping."

Jiraichi, -There must be consent, aura is directly connected to our soul. Being forced would make aura lash out.-

Ash nodded, "I think I understand, that will be useful if someone tries to force me into anything I don't want."

Gou, "They will have to go through me before trying to force you."

Lucario, -And us as well Meema. No one is forcing anyone into anything.-

Diance nodded, "Ance di."

Ash, "Awww... Thanks so much you guys."

May, "We should get some sleep now. We have a long way to go tomorrow."

Max, "That is true."

Molly, "Since you two made the meal, leave the clean up to us."

Gou, "Go get rest."

May nodded and Ash followed her to the bed area which was filled with sleeping beds of different colours. May's was dark pink and orange while next to her was a smaller dark green and brown sleeping bag. Next to that was a pink and blue one for Molly and next to Molly was his bag that was in dark blue and silver while Gou's was black and red. The Pokemon had their own sleeping areas around them, the Pokemonhad decided on it to keep them safe. May took out her brush and toothpaste, leaving to clean up before bed and Ash decided to work on his thesis under the lamp light. After Lucario, Milotic, Pikachu and Annihilape, he was now working on Butterfree, Beedrill, Pidgeot and Fearrow.

Lucario laid on his leg with Diance who snuggled Ash on his side while Phantump appeared from Ash's shadow. The ghost Pokemon had been vigilant ever since they met Jiraichi and had been moving from shadow to shadow keeping an eye out. The little jewel Princess squealed on seeing Phantump and started to blabber everything that happened to them. May came back after twenty minute and Ash decided to get ready for bed as well, he had changed while May was cleaning up. May cooed at Diance and Phantump while Ash cleaned up and by the time he returned Gou, Max and Molly had joined them. Ash wished them good night and slept with Diance and Phantump snuggling him while Lucario took position at the cave's opening.

The next day they cleaned up and got rid of the fire place, they were lucky nothing happened on the first night. Ash hoped their luck will continue for the next few days as well while he cleaned up the breakfast which consisted of leak and potato soup and toasted bread. It was May's favourite and apparently one of her mom's best dishes though she was not sure if she got the recipe completely right. Gou who helped her cook assured her the food was delicious and everyone finished every bit of the food that was made. May smiled at that, nodding in agreement as they got ready to travel through the wild area to Jiraichi's temple.

Ruby frowned as the results came, 'Team Magma, he is part of Team Magma.'

Officer Jenny, "Champion Ruby, I am happy to report Butler and his assistant will be take to Fort H2V for detention."

Ruby nodded, "Good, I need to join my kids."

Officer Jenny, "Kids, sir?"

Ruby smirked, "Steven and Wallace convinced me to take a few trainers under my wing."

Officer Jenny chuckled, "I see, have a wonderful journey sir. If anything happens we will update you."

Ruby nodded and climbed on to Orion's back, "Let's go find out young friends, Orion."

Orion, -Finally, I was close to biting that man's head off.-

Ruby, "Trust me, I would have let you do it too."

Orion, -You are angry.-

Ruby sighed, "I promised them a peaceful event to enjoy the comet. Not another problem for them to solve."

Orion cooed, -Everything will be okay, Meema. Besides they are not alone.-

Ruby, "Yes, you are correct. Let's go join them, it has already been more than twenty four hours since they left."

Orion nodded, -I can senses the young Diance's presence that way. Hold on, we will be with them soon.-

Butler was watching them as they left, 'Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, you may be a Champion but I have been doing this for years.'

Diane, "What are you planning, Butler?"

Butler, "Look over there Diane. They are heading in the direction of the temple. The place we found Jiraichi in the first place."

Diane, "Butler, don't you think we should stop now? We have been arrested and I don't think we are getting out that easily."

Butler chuckled bending down and kissing her forehead, "My dear Diane, do not fret, I have a plan, right Ditto?"

Ditto, "Ditto."

Diane's eyes widened as Ditto transformed a part of it's body into a key to open the lock that held the chain around their hands. Then Butler told Diane to get ready to bust out when they got the chance, they knew where Ruby was heading. If they were smart they would be at the temple before Ruby and his friends reached it with Jiraichi and he also recalled Ruby's lover had a Diance. Yes, if they found their region's Champion they would not just have Jiraichi and Rayquaza but also the Princess of Kalos region.
