"Damn, this place is huge."

A man dressed in a black windbreaker cursed.

"Of course it's big; this is Tyranitar's residence."

His companion sat down on the ground, holding a life Scanner. "I wonder where that Tyranitar has hidden its egg."

Shinichi and Tomoya were trainers affiliated with a biotechnology company.

A few days ago, they assisted the higher-ups in the company to catch a Tyranitar.

During the battle, they discovered that the Tyranitar was protecting a Pokémon egg.

Clearly, it was its child.

Later, after a difficult capture, the company higher-ups successfully took the Tyranitar away.

However, the location of Tyranitar's egg remained unknown.

"Arbok~"

In the dark cave, an Arbok slithered back.

"How did it go, Arbok? Any harvest?"

"Arbok~"

Arbok shook its head.

Tomoya got up from the ground. "Let's keep moving deeper."

"That Tyranitar's egg has to be in this area!"

In the sky above Aoi District,

Natsume rode on Dragonair as they flew by.

Ding dong~

A task notification chimed on her phone from the Farm Story.

Notice: Quest Triggered: Explore Aoi District! Upon completion, the Aoi District map will be unlocked.

Task 1: Explore Ground Forest

Quest Reward: Provides a lot of experience, Exp. Candy *3

Completion Method: Please explore the Ground Forest for 12 hours and capture a Pokémon from the forest.

Task 2: Explore Forest River

Quest Reward: Evolution Item Draw *2

Task 3: Explore Underground Cave

Quest Reward: Z-Ring and Z-Crystal Draw once.

Natsume opened her phone to review the newly appeared tasks.

Tasks 1, 2, and 3 all had the same completion method.

Natsume put away her phone and said to Dragonair beneath her, "Let's land right here, Dragonair."

"Boom~"

Suddenly, a loud explosion echoed below.

Not far away, a large group of Spearow seemed startled.

They flew out into the sky from the forest.

Natsume glanced at the flock of Spearow.

There were at least hundreds of them.

The way they gathered together resembled a dark cloud.

"This truly is the largest natural Pokémon sanctuary in Hokkaido."

Natsume sighed in amazement and then said to Dragonair, "Dragonair, let's go check out the excitement."

"Dragonair~"

Dragonair responded and flew toward the source of the explosion.

In the forest,

"Meganium, Razor Leaf!"

Leaves shot out rapidly like blades in front of Meganium.

"Shiftry!"

A Shiftry used the trees as a shield, dodging the incoming Razor Leaf attacks!

"Shiftry!"

While moving, Shiftry quickly closed in on Meganium.

In its hands, Grass-type energy condensed into a blade.

Shiftry unleashed Leaf Blade!

"Now, Vine Whip!"

Meganium's trainer shouted loudly.

"Meganium~"

Vine Whip quickly gathered on both sides of Meganium's body, then wrapped around Shiftry.

Around Meganium, Razor Leaf condense once more!

Bang!

The Razor Leaf struck Shiftry, who was tied up by Vine Whip.

Shiftry lost its battle capability.

Meganium's trainer quickly took out a Poké Ball and threw it at Shiftry.

Shake~ Ding!

Meganium used Vine Whip to deliver the Poké Ball back to its trainer's hand and then looked up at the sky.

Meganium's trainer placed the Poké Ball in his pocket and raised his head.

"Whoa, is that a Dragonair?"

Meganium's trainer looked at Natsume and Dragonair in surprise.

"Hey, your Dragonair looks really strong."

Meganium's trainer greeted them warmly.

He was of average height, around 170 cm, with dark skin.

He seemed to spend a lot of time in the sun.

Natsume and Dragonair landed. "Thank you."

"We just arrived here and came to check it out after hearing the explosion."

As Natsume spoke, she glanced at Meganium.

This Meganium was level 51, a Gym Leader's Pokémon.

"If I may ask, are you the gym leader?" Natsume inquired curiously.

Meganium's trainer smiled. "Yes."

"I see you recognized me."

"That's right; I am Fujiwara, the gym leader of the Green Vine Gym!"

Natsume paused, taken aback. "...."

Fujiwara noticed Natsume's expression and was slightly surprised. "You didn't recognize me?"

"How did you know I was a gym leader?"

Natsume replied, "I figured that Meganium's strength was impressive, so I thought I might have encountered a gym leader."

It was her first time encountering a Pokémon at level 50.

Fujiwara patted Meganium beside him and said, "It seems your strength shines through, Meganium."

"Meganium~"

Meganium nuzzled Fujiwara's cheek.

Their relationship was clearly very strong.

Fujiwara looked at Natsume and asked, "Are you also here to look for the trace of that Tyranitar?"

"Tyranitar?"

Natsume was a bit curious.

"Yeah."

Fujiwara leaned against Meganium as he spoke. "Didn't the news report just mention a major earthquake?"

"There might be a Tyranitar lurking around here."

"So a lot of trainers have come here hoping for their luck."

Fujiwara sighed, "If someone is lucky enough to actually capture a Tyranitar, they could really make a name for themselves."

Natsume replied, "Anyone with the strength to capture a Tyranitar must be quite a powerful trainer to begin with."

Fujiwara chuckled at Natsume's comment. "That may be true, but there will always be those who resort to various artificial weapons to forcibly capture powerful Pokémon."

He laughed lightly. "Of course."

"If someone really has luck on their side, who knows, maybe Tyranitar will suddenly take a liking to me."

After saying this, Fujiwara climbed onto Meganium's back. "Alright, I'm off."

"Good luck!"

Natsume waved as she watched Fujiwara leave. "You too!"
