Pokemon: I am Gary

Chapter 103: Chapter 103: I Want to Battle Twenty

Reggie left...

Indeed, Reggie realized he needed to work harder. He gave up on battling in the Battle Frontier and returned to Sinnoh.

"My younger brother is also at the age to start traveling. I want to make up for the lack of family affection he has missed and train together; maybe it will lead to new ideas." With that, Reggie strode away.

After much effort, a bold and foolish boss from the Battle Frontier, Mr. Scott, looked at the empty corridor and was almost in tears.

"Hey, Mr. Scott, take it easy~" Gary teased while grooming his Eevee.

"Young Master Gary is joking..." As a businessman, Scott was undoubtedly shrewd. He knew who could be offended and who could not.

Clearly, Gary was the type that absolutely could not be offended.

"Sigh, the Battle Frontier must rely on high-level Pokémon trainers to challenge it in order to increase exposure," Scott sighed. "It seems I need to invite others again."

"What do you think of me?" Gary pointed at himself.

Scott's eyes lit up. "Really?"

As Professor Oak's grandson, this gimmick was much stronger than that of ordinary people!

Gary raised an eyebrow. "I'm right here; as long as the Battle Factory has no objections, I can challenge it later."

"No problem~" Scott immediately patted his belly in assurance. "Anyway, I've already notified everyone; it's just a matter of changing challengers."

"Alright then, wait for me to send a package, and then I'll go with you to the Battle Factory." Gary nodded in agreement.

After all, going back and forth to the Battle Factory is also a kind of challenge~

Calling for a Pelipper for delivery, Gary filled out the address.

He had four spare mobile phones left; he sent the blue one to Lorelei, the rose gold one to Caitlin, and the pink one to Chloe.

Gary kept the red Rotom Phone for himself and planned to give the used white one to Ash.

"Alright, let's go." After arranging the delivery, Gary followed Scott out of the Pokémon Center.

"Hehe, Young Master Gary, please get in my car." Scott patted his convertible sports car.

With an eight-cylinder engine and special alloy wheels, it climbed mountains effortlessly. This old man is really wealthy!

However, recalling some unpleasant experiences, Gary shook his head in refusal. "I'll just ride Charizard over there. Come out, Charizard..."

"??? Hoo..." Snoring and blowing bubbles from its nose, Charizard appeared from its Poké Ball and lay on the ground motionless.

Gary couldn't help but cover his face; he shouldn't have agreed to this; it could drink heavily for a week.

You promised a week but didn't wake up even once in a day?

"How about sitting in my car instead?" Scott fastened his seatbelt.

"No need..." Gary replied darkly as he turned back and walked into the Pokémon Center.

A minute later, Gary came out again. "Little Ponyta, come out!"

The Sunlight Rainbow Ponyta appeared before Scott.

"Wow~ A macho pink Ponyta?" Scott exclaimed with wide eyes.

After being carefully raised by Professor Oak, this little guy had completely matured and was now twice as big; even as a mount, it was more than sufficient.

"Ponyta's speed is 180 horsepower; Mr. Scott's sports car should only have a maximum of 120 horsepower. No need to hold back; lead the way." Gary laughed as he mounted Ponyta.

Enviously glancing at Ponyta, Scott nodded and started his car.

Vroom! Amidst the roar of the engine, the red sports car sped away.

"Let's go; I want to see your skills~" Gary smiled as he stroked Ponyta's pink-purple and sky-blue mane.

Neigh~! With a long whinny, Ponyta galloped off.

A pink shadow whipped up a whirlwind as it sped away.

Scott also secretly competed with Gary by choosing some rugged mountain roads.

However, at this moment, Galarian Ponyta's advantages became evident.

It's a Psychic-type!

When encountering places it couldn't run through, it galloped through the wind and flew over!

Thus, both car and horse raced joyfully!

Boom! Just as they entered a flat open area, mechanical roaring sounds came from above.

Gary looked up and saw an airplane spewing black smoke circling overhead.

"Hey! Boss, such fun racing activities and you didn't call me?" Noland's face was adorned with stubble and a playful smile.

"Hahaha, just kidding. This is our challenger today, Gary; hurry back and prepare." Scott pointed at Gary.

"Oh! So it's the challenger. No problem," Noland chuckled heartily as his teeth gleamed brightly...

Upon arriving outside the Battle Factory's gate, the factory manager—who was also Noland's top disciple—dressed in classic trainer attire—was already waiting there early on after receiving news.

"Mr. Scott, welcome to the Battle Factory." Upon seeing his boss, Sergio bowed politely in greeting.

"Sergio! You too." Scott nodded and pointed at Gary. "This is our challenger."

"Hello! I'm Sergio; Master Noland is my mentor," Sergio introduced himself with a nod.

"I'm Gary from Pallet Town." Young Master Gary returned the polite greeting.

"By the way... where's Noland?" Scott asked curiously. Given the speed of the plane, he should have returned faster than himself...

"Master is in the mechanical workshop; I've advised him not to use funds to create strange vehicles for fun..." Sergio explained awkwardly.

"What do you mean by that?" Noland's dissatisfied voice rang out. "I wasn't playing! I was cultivating my hobbies!"

"Is there any difference?" Sergio retorted.

Noland scratched his head in confusion; there really seemed to be no difference...

"Alright then; with Sergio here, I'm quite reassured," Scott encouraged Sergio with a pat on his back before asking Noland. "You've met Gary; how about it? Ready to accept his challenge?"

Noland—dressed in a white trench coat and red cap—readily agreed. "Of course! We can start battling anytime. What do you think, Gary?"

Gary nodded with a smile. "I'm fine too."

"Good! That's how it should be." Noland looked at Sergio. "Bring out my Pokémon! Prepare energy cubes."

Sergio nodded and turned back into the factory to fetch dozens of energy cubes before shouting toward the nearby forest: "Brothers! It's time for dinner~"

Boom! The ground trembled as a group of Pokémon rushed out from the forest.

There were about twenty or so—some from Kanto and others from Hoenn. Each one had been raised quite well.

Noland waved his hand with satisfaction. "Look! These are my Pokémon; feel free to choose any for battle!"

Gary looked at the quality of training with satisfaction. "Since that's how it is, I won't hold back. I want to challenge all of them!"

"What?" Noland stumbled nearly falling over.

"I'll take twenty first~" Gary counted them out loud.

Scott twitched at the corner of his mouth; are you treating this like a market?

"What? Are you scared?" Gary smirked with an exaggerated eye roll that perfectly mimicked how Ash would react when faced with such expressions...

Sure enough, seeing Gary's disdainful look made Noland lose his composure entirely. "If you want it that way! Do you even have that many Pokémon?!"

Gary took out his phone. "No worries; if I'm short on numbers, my old man will send them over in real-time~"

Scott couldn't help but cover his face—calling upon gods is easy but sending them away is hard...
