Pokemon Earth’s Parallel World: Dragon Trainer

Chapter 211 – Entrusted Egg

Floyd observed Snorlax using his abilities, Return and Belly Drum. He was surprised that Snorlax had managed to learn Return, a strong move that becomes more effective with a good friendship. He hadn't expected Snorlax to learn it.

As for Belly Drum, although Snorlax hadn't yet unleashed the full potential of this powerful move, its inherent strength was undeniable. Floyd compared it to his Gyarados's one stack of Dragon Dance, albeit without the speed buff.

Just when Floyd thought he had seen all of Snorlax's new skills, the Pokémon showcased another unexpected move: Sleep Talk. Seeing this, Floyd felt it would be a pity if Snorlax didn't train hard, despite his talent in breeding, which made Floyd hesitant.

Perhaps, he pondered, it would be best to discuss with Snorlax and get its opinion on future training and development.

After observing these moves, Floyd noticed that Snorlax was beginning to show signs of fatigue. Deciding it was enough for the day, he allowed Snorlax to rest and turned his attention to Horsea.

Horsea, graceful and fluid, was practicing Dragon Dance. Among all his Pokémon, Horsea was the most adept at this particular move. However, Floyd knew Horsea's training motivation was limited; it only motivated as long it was related to food or dancing.

To engage Horsea more effectively, Floyd had devised a novel training method. He introduced the concept of 'coordination' to Horsea – the art of moving gracefully while performing battle moves.

To inspire Horsea, Floyd created several videos of her performing various moves with elegance. Watching herself dance so gracefully in the videos, Horsea found new motivation to master her skills.

Once Horsea was set on her training, Floyd moved on to Growlithe and Fraxure, who were eagerly waiting for their turn. Turning to Fraxure, Floyd initiated their training session. "Let's start!"

"Fraxure!" Fraxure responded, acknowledging the command. It activated its powerful Outrage move. Floyd then directed Growlithe's attention to Fraxure. "Watch carefully! See what you can learn from this," he instructed.

"Awrrrrrr!" Growlithe responded with a nod, focusing intently on Fraxure's movements.

"Frax-ROAR!" Fraxure let out a thunderous roar, using its tusks to viciously attack the air.

Whisshhhhhhhhhhhh! SHIIING! The force generated by Fraxure's Outrage sent a powerful gush of wind forward, the impact shaking the surrounding trees.

Fraxure, in a moment of extreme focus, forcefully slammed his head against the ground, a method he had adopted to regain his composure and sanity.

"Fraxure!" Despite the fierce red glint in his eyes, Fraxure managed to retain his awareness and recognition of his friends.

Floyd, observing this, nodded with a sense of appreciation. This was a significant milestone in Fraxure's training over the past week, where he had been learning to harness and control the immense power of Outrage.

Floyd couldn't help but recall the recent incidents where Fraxure's loss of control had almost led to chaos. If not for the timely intervention and collaborative effort of Gyarados, Wartortle Squad, and the rest of the team, calming Fraxure down would have been a formidable challenge.

"Alright, that's enough for now! Fraxure, let's switch to some other techniques. Start with Dragon Pulse aimed skywards, then move on to practicing Breaking Swipe, Dragon Cleave, Dragon Claw, and Dragon Tail. When you feel that the overwhelming dragon energy is dissipating, attempt Outrage again, and repeat this cycle. Additionally, work on Swords Dance, Protect, Poison Jab, and Iron Tail. But remember, don't combine Swords Dance with Dragon Dance just yet; your body isn't ready to handle that combination. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Floyd instructed his voice firm yet encouraging.

"Fraxure!" With an understanding nod, Fraxure received a bottle filled with poison and an antidote from Floyd, and then commenced his rigorous training regimen, focusing diligently on each dragon move.

Meanwhile, Floyd turned his attention to Growlithe. "Do you understand any of this?" he inquired.

Growlithe, looking somewhat apologetic, shook his head and lowered it in a gesture of disappointment.

"It's okay. Just observe Fraxure closely when he uses Outrage. In a few days, I'll begin to infuse some dragon energy into you," Floyd reassured. He understood that Growlithe was still too weak and the dragon energy too potent.

His intention was not to rush the process but to give Growlithe a sense of the technique by watching Fraxure. After Growlithe's Hisuian percentage disappeared, Floyd planned to channel his dragon energy for him.

"For now, focus on mastering all your fire moves, especially Flamethrower, your newest skill. And don't forget to continue training Bite in combination with Fire Fang to enhance its effectiveness," Floyd advised Growlithe.

"Awrrr!" Growlithe responded with an affirmative bark and began his training session with enthusiasm.

Floyd then turned his attention to the rest of his Pokémon, ready to guide and train each one according to their unique abilities and needs.

More than several hours had elapsed, and the time was nearing 5:30 pm. Floyd, having left his own Pokémon to train with other pokemon at the Beast's Sanctuary.

As he walked through the area, he noticed a difference compared to the past few weeks. This time, it wasn't their group of foreigners managing the logistics, which included feeding Pokémon, managing berry trees and their berries; most of the tasks were being handled by Japanese villagers.

This shift in responsibility had significantly freed up time for Floyd and the other foreigners, allowing them to focus more on enhancing their Pokémon training skills, practicing the art of making pokeblocks, and undertaking various tasks within the Kemonohaji forests.

Due to their busy schedules, interactions among the foreigners had become infrequent, their paths crossing mostly at the Pokémon Market. On this particular day, as Floyd was heading to a meeting, and he unexpectedly encountered Ivan.

Ivan's Wartortle, sported several bruises, carrying a large bag, and there was a distinct smell of honey emanating from it. Following closely behind Ivan was Ariados, which also bore marks of injury and appeared slightly weary and exhausted.

It glanced silently at Floyd as they passed. Ivan himself seemed preoccupied, almost lost in thought, as he walked with a random egg in his hands.

"Oh, Ivan! What happened to your beasts? And you've got a new egg?" Floyd inquired, concerned upon noticing the condition of Ivan's Pokémon. He approached Ivan, initiating a conversation.

"Floyd!" Ivan, sensing someone approaching, looked up to see Floyd and offered a brief greeting. He then handed the egg to Floyd, asking somewhat abruptly, "Do you want it?"

"Eh, what happened? Are your Pokémon hurt?" Floyd asked with concern, reaching for a healing powder. However, Ivan stopped him.

"We need to head to the market to complete some tasks first, and then we'll go straight to the clinic," Ivan explained, indicating the urgency of their situation.

"I see. But where did you get this egg?" Floyd, taken aback by the sudden change in topic, looked curiously at the egg in Ivan's hands.

Ivan held the egg carefully, "It was given to me by the Beedrill boss."

"What? The Beedrill boss gave it to you? Why?" Floyd's surprise was evident in his voice. Such an occurrence was highly unusual.

Ivan then recounted his recent venture to the Beedrill's base. His mission was to negotiate for honey, but it turned into an unexpected conflict when one Beedrill mistook him for an intruder and attacked them. In response, Ivan had commanded his Ariados to use Swords Dance, while Wartortle took a defensive stance, a strategic move to buy time.

After using Swords Dance, Ariados then launched a counterattack.

Ivan's actions caused a commotion that attracted many Beedrill. When Ivan realized he was surrounded and thought he was going to be helpless, the Beedrill Boss surprisingly challenged Ariados. Ivan initially thought they were just buying time, and he looked for an opportunity to escape, but being surrounded left him no choice but to directly fight the Beedrill Boss.

The Beedrill Boss had a hard time fighting Ariados, as the latter had already activated Swords Dance, but in the end, the Beedrill Boss managed to defeat Ivan's Ariados. Just when Ivan thought they were doomed, the Beedrill Boss unexpectedly gave him a random egg, took the Pokéblocks from Ivan's hands, gave him the honey, commanded his subordinates to go back, and then left.

Ivan was dumbfounded by the scene and still couldn't comprehend the Beedrill Boss's actions.

Floyd, surprised by the story, responded, "Keep it yourself; this is the Beedrill's descendant."

"Hmmm, keep it?" Ivan asked in doubt.

"That Beedrill boss might have entrusted you with his offspring to train. That's what he meant. Don't give it to others; keep it. That Beedrill boss was actually strong. It's rare for a Beedrill to be that strong, but since it's his offspring, its potential is good," Floyd explained.

Ivan contemplated Floyd's words and turned his gaze to the egg.
