Pokémon: Ash's New Journey

Chapter 121: Exploring the Water Capital!

"Squirtle, Squirtle!"

A familiar voice called out from behind Ash.

Ash and Pikachu turned around in surprise.

There, standing proudly on the Pokémon Center's counter, was Squirtle—wearing its signature cool sunglasses, looking as stylish as ever.

The moment their eyes met, Squirtle leaped into the air, pulling off its sunglasses in the process.

"Aah! Squirtle!"

"Pikachu!"

Ash opened his arms wide, catching Squirtle in a warm embrace.

Pikachu, perched on Ash's shoulder, cheered happily. The two Pokémon had been through so much together—it was a heartwarming reunion.

"Wow! So this is Ash's Squirtle? It looks so cool! And it's even bigger than my Wartortle was when it was still a Squirtle!" May remarked, holding her own Wartortle.

"Wartortle, Wartortle~"

Misty smiled as she watched the reunion. "Of course! Squirtle used to be such a troublemaker, but now it's the leader of the Squirtle Squad and a full-fledged firefighter. It's helped so many people and Pokémon."

She then turned to Anabel and nudged her. "Looks like they have a lot to catch up on."

Anabel nodded, watching with admiration. "They're sharing everything that's happened since they last met. Squirtle is telling Pikachu that it's been training hard while on duty and that battling fires is just another way of getting stronger. It even warned Pikachu not to slack off, or it might surpass it one day!"

Pikachu responded with an enthusiastic "Pika Pi!" and began recounting some of its own adventures.

Realizing that Ash, Pikachu, and Squirtle might be busy for a while, Anabel turned to Misty and May. "Since we're planning to enter the Water Capital's water competition (titled Tour de Alto Mare) in a few days, why don't we go send over some of our Water Pokémon?"

Misty and May agreed, knowing this was the perfect time to prepare for the upcoming event.

After about thirty minutes, Ash finally finished catching up with Squirtle and introduced it properly to May and Anabel. Squirtle immediately hit it off with May's Wartortle, the two playing together like old friends.

"Squirtle's been working so hard as a firefighter," Ash said with pride. "It deserves a break."

As he spoke, memories of his original team filled his mind—Pikachu, Charizard, Pidgeot, Snorlax, Bulbasaur, and, of course, Squirtle.

They had all grown so much.

And then, his thoughts drifted to Latias and Latios.

Were they watching over the Water Capital right now?

He wasn't in a rush to find out. If they were here, they would appear when the time was right.

For now, this was a trip to relax and have fun!

With the Tour de Alto Mare just three days away, it was time to unwind and enjoy the city.

And that meant one thing—swimsuit shopping!

Ash's swimwear was simple, but the girls each had their own unique styles.

Misty had long, slender legs that made her look graceful in anything she wore.

May had a perfectly balanced figure, but her legs were particularly stunning.

Anabel, on the other hand, faced a… unique challenge.

Finding a swimsuit that fit her was nearly impossible—her, uh, proportions made it difficult.

After searching nearly every store in the Alto Mare, she finally found something that worked.

Just as Misty and May went to try on their swimsuits, Anabel hesitated and turned to Ash.

"Maybe I should just go back to my usual look…" she mumbled, embarrassed.

"No way!" Ash instinctively objected.

Why cover up when she looked great?

Besides, it's not like she could hide anything in a swimsuit anyway…

As the swimsuit shopping wrapped up, Anabel revealed something that immediately caught Misty's attention.

"I'll be using Milotic for the competition."

Misty's eyes widened in awe.

"You have a Milotic?! That's one of the most beautiful Water Pokémon! I've always wanted to catch one!"

May and Anabel exchanged knowing glances before turning to Ash.

They didn't even have to say anything—Ash already knew what they wanted.

The Water Capital bordered the open sea, making it the perfect place to search for a Feebas!

"C'mon, Ash, let's just go take a look," Misty pleaded, grabbing his arm.

He sighed. No way he could say no now.

And so, the four of them set off for the coastline.

The water was crystal clear, the air fresh with the scent of the ocean.

Misty wasted no time.

"Go, Starmie, Seel, Corsola, and Azumarill!"

She released her Water Pokémon, excited to begin the search.

May and Anabel followed suit.

"Come out, Munchlax, Blaziken, Eevee, and Wartortle!"

"Let's go, Espeon, Metagross, and Milotic!"

Ash, not wanting to be left out, released his Pokémon as well. Even Mewtwo appeared.

"Alright," Ash said, handing out fishing rods. "We'll try using bait that Feebas loves."

Pikachu eagerly helped attach the bait to the hooks.

With their lines cast into the sea, the hunt for Feebas began!
