Chapter 207: Hisui (7)
~Third POV~
[Hisui Region, Next Day, Jubilife Village – MC's Room]
It was the next day, and Azure and his Pokémon woke up in the morning. Since yesterday, Azure has managed to purchase a few essential items for his stay here.
He held a new item he needed to show off in his world. The item in question was a simple cord, but when Azure used [Observe], he smirked, revealing its true abilities.
[Item: Linking Cord x Multiple
Rarity Item: -
Type: Key Item
Description: A string exuding a mysterious energy that makes you feel a strange sense of connection. It's loved by certain Pokémon that involve trade evolution.]
He put the item away, as with the massive profit from his Poke Block business, he managed to obtain some new clothes to fit in with the era. Not only that, but he also managed to buy a few rare held items like Peat Block, Black Augurite, Electirizer, Magmarizer, and Protector as they were valuable relics of the past.
Now wearing traditional Hisuian garb and prepared to leave. But when he opened the door revealed it to be Commander Kamado himself.
Raising an eyebrow, seeing the Commander present, Azure politely asked curiously, "Morning, Commander Kamado. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
But before he could open his mouth, he peeked inside Azure's home. Inside, he saw an Alakazam finishing up preparing some Poke Blocks with relative ease while using Psychic to hold off Azure's Pikachu, and Eevee wagging its finger scolding the two.
Gesturing for Commander Kamado to come inside, Azure asked bluntly, "So Commander Kamado, what brings you here?"
Kamado looked at Azure, then at his Pokémon sitting beside him. He fell silent for a moment and asked seriously, "I want to know what your true objective is?"
Azure asked with a puzzled expression at the Commander's words, "What do you mean by that, Commander Kamado?"
His eyes narrowed with a stern expression on his face as he bluntly said with a suspicious tone, "A traveler appears out of nowhere in Jubilife Village, and the very next day produces mysterious Poke Blocks with incredible effects… You don't seem like someone who's just here for fun. Tell me what you are really after?"
Azure simply smiled as he shrugged his shoulders, crossing his arms together, answering his question in a casual voice, "To simply capture Pokémon that catch my interest. Whether you believe it or not is really up to you."
Seeing that Azure clearly wasn't in the mood for a serious conversation or simply didn't believe his words, he sighed. Kamado got to the real reason for his visit as he bluntly stated, "I want to buy a batch of those Poke Blocks from you."
Azure raised an eyebrow as he muttered, "Pokeblocks?"
Kamado nodded as he stated bluntly, with his arms crossed, "That's right. My Captains and Survey Corps took notice that your Poke Blocks seem to reduce Wild Pokémon's hostility toward humans. For Galaxy Team's expansion plans, I want to place an order."
Azure wasn't surprised by Kamado's request, as he expected it would come sooner or later. He smirked, making Commander Kamado feel nervous as Azure said, "How much do you need exactly? And how much are you willing to spend…"
Azure saw his opening. He had heard whispers from the Survey Corps about a rare, highly valued Hisuian Braviary egg, supposedly from an Alpha, with incredible potential.
Acquiring one would be a monumental step in his Hisuian journey. Azure soon said his price calmly, "Commander, I am new to Hisui. My needs are specific and not always monetary. I propose a trade."
Kamado raised a thick eyebrow. He asked cautiously, "A trade? What could you possibly desire that I possess?"
Kamado's eyes turned to a glare as Azure began, choosing his words carefully, "I have heard of a certain Hisuian Braviary egg. One said to be from an Alpha, with a high likelihood of hatching into an Alpha itself. I desire that egg, Commander. In return, I will provide a crate supply of these Poké Blocks for your entire Galaxy Team."
Komada's stern face contorted in surprise, then pure indignation. He roared outrageously at his words, furious, "That egg is a prize, traveler! A symbol of Hisui's might. To simply… give it away for a few treats?"
Azure countered, his voice steady as he explained himself calmly, "These 'treats', Commander, will ensure your Pokémon are at their peak performance, healthier and more capable than ever before. Consider it an investment in the strength of your entire corps. And for me, that egg is not just a symbol, but a partner I wish to raise. A partner that will be as strong and loyal as any of your own."
Komado hesitated, caught between the clear benefit of the Poké Blocks and his reluctance to part with such an asset. His eyes narrowed as he demanded, "You claim your Pokémon are strong enough to require such sustenance. Let me see them, traveler. Prove their worth. Only then will I consider such a request."
Azure nodded slowly to the conditions. But he then said sternly, getting Commander Komado's attention, "Agreed, Commander Komado. But understand, I have some Pokémon whose presence might be… alarming to those inexperienced with their kind. I will not show you two specific partners, for obvious reasons pertaining to their extraordinary nature. The others, however, you may see."
Komada's brow furrowed at the mention of unnamed, 'alarming' Pokémon, but the conditions seemed fair enough. He believed in his strength as he slowly nodded his head, agreeing sternly, "… Very well. Come to the training grounds at dusk. Alone. Bring your Pokémon."

[Hisui Region, Evening, Jubilife Village – Training Grounds]
That evening, a tense silence hung over the designated training area. Commander Kamado stood with a handful of his most trusted guards, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.
Azure stood calmly, his hands resting on his belt. Komado commanded, his voice edged with skepticism, "Show me these Pokémon, traveler."
Azure drew his first Poké Ball. He stated, releasing the Ghost-type, "This is Gengar."
*Pop*
Gengar materialized with a mischievous cackle, its eyes glowing, a faint, unsettling aura emanating from its shadowy form. One of the guards gasped, instinctively stepping back, seeing the Shadow Pokémon.
Gengar floated lazily, then, at Azure's subtle nod, launched a playful but powerful Shadow Ball that detonated harmlessly against a distant target dummy, leaving a smoking crater. Komado's eyes widened slightly.
*Pop*
Next, Dragonite emerged, a majestic roar accompanying its appearance. Its sheer size and powerful aura dwarfed anything Komado had seen.
Azure had it perform a controlled swoop, its powerful wings churning the air, kicking up a gale that made Komado's cloak whip around him. The Commander visibly swallowed as Azure brought his next Poké Ball.
*Pop*
Arcanine burst forth in a blaze of glory, its fiery mane rippling, its speed evident even in stillness. It let out a deep, resonant roar that vibrated through the ground.
Komado's eyes widened, seeing an Arcanine. But he and his guard noticed its appearance may differ, but the fierce gaze in its eyes was the same of the Noble Pokémon Arcanine.
*Pop*
Scizor appeared with a metallic clang, its steely pincers gleaming in the twilight. It performed a rapid series of Bullet Punches, each impact a sharp, precise thud against the air, leaving trails of afterimages.
The raw focused power was undeniable. Azure smirked as he tossed the next Poké Ball, making the guards and Commander pale.
*Pop*
As Azure called forth Tyranitar, a ripple of fear went through the guards witnessing the Sand Tyrant. The ground itself seemed to tremble, and a faint sandstorm began to whip around the massive Rock-Dark type.
Tyranitar's eyes glowed with an ancient, untamed wild power. Komado's face grew noticeably paler as he thought, frightened to his core, 'This wasn't merely a strong Pokémon; it was a force of nature.'
*Pop*
Alakazam floated into existence, its three spoons spinning, its eyes radiating an intense intellect that seemed to pierce through Komado's very thoughts. The air grew heavy, as if under immense mental pressure.
*Thud*
One of the guards fainted outright from the psychic pressure. Azure sheepishly apologized as he brought out his next Pokémon.
*Pop*
Finally, Mismagius drifted from its Poké Ball, a spectral, cackling, eerie presence. It shimmered, creating fleeting, disorienting illusions that danced around Komado, making him shiver despite himself.
The air grew cold, filled with an eerie, otherworldly energy. The guards noticed the Mismagius being quite sought after, bringing good luck or misfortune for those who encounter it, but bit their lips seeing how playful it was with Azure.
Each Pokémon, though powerful, remained controlled, their respect for him palpable. Yet, their raw, untamed strength, their sheer evolutionary might, was beyond anything the people of Hisui had ever witnessed.
Komado, a hardened veteran, stood frozen, his face ashen. He had faced countless Alpha Pokémon and survived, but the sheer, unfathomable power contained within these creatures, all obedient to this one man, was overwhelming.
They outclassed any Pokémon known in Jubilife Village, perhaps in all Hisui. Komado thought nervously as an idea struck him, 'If we offend this man… would Jubilife Village be standing if he decided to attack us…'
Komado sweated at the thought. He knew deep down if they were to battle each other, even with his fellow Corp members… they wouldn't be able to win.
But then there was a glint of fear in his eyes as he was reminded of something as he thought fearfully, 'Wait… he mentioned he had 2 Pokémon left… could it be that he doesn't reveal them because they dwarf the others here?!'
Many things went through Kamado's mind when he dealt with Azure. But viewing his Pokémon all eyeing him with caution… he felt terrified.
The silence that followed was thick with unspoken awe and a profound sense of inadequacy on Komado's part. Kamado wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. He managed to croak, his voice hoarse, "They… they are indeed formidable, traveler. More than formidable. Unrivaled. The deal. It is struck."
With a heavy heart, yet a knowing certainty, Commander Kamado retrieved a magnificent, mottled egg, larger than any other Braviary egg Azure had seen. Its shell shimmered with a faint, iridescent glow.
He handed it over to Azure, his hand trembling slightly. Azure accepted the egg with reverence, grinning happily, using [Observe] on it as he said, "Thank you, Commander Komado. You will not regret this."
[Pokémon Egg (Rufflet [Alpha] (Hisuian (M))]
He retreated to his small dwelling, examining the egg. It felt warm, vibrant with life as he returned to his room, recalling his Pokémon.
Unaware of the Hisui members that Komado gathered, he left happily on his step. Komado then vowed as he muttered, "… we must never offend this traveler… or else the village will pay the price… YOU GOT THAT!!"
His guards with him all nodded nervously. Komado wasn't the only one affected by seeing Azure's team being that strong that he outclasses them...

[Hisui Region, Nighttime, Jubilife Village – MC's Room]
Arriving at his room, Azure knew that even if the Pokémon Egg was from an Alpha, there was no guarantee it would be an Alpha itself. But with his [Observe] skill, he sighed a breath of relief seeing that the Rufflet was an Alpha Pokémon.
Azure began to use his secret weapon to raise Rufflet. He sat cross-legged, the egg cradled in his palms as he used his Viridian Force.
He closed his eyes, centering himself, reaching deep within his spiritual core. A soft, emerald glow began to emanate from his hands, enveloping the egg in a gentle, pulsing light.
*Shiii*
This was the Viridian Force, a unique, latent energy within him, a manifestation of his profound connection to life and growth, honed over years of interacting with Pokémon. It was a catalyst for potential, a gentle push towards evolution and rebirth.
The egg vibrated, then pulsed in response to the Force. Cracks, initially hairline thin, began to spiderweb across its surface, accompanied by a soft, ethereal chime.
*CRACK*
The light intensified, and the egg seemed to hum with an inner song as the Pokémon inside tried to break free. Slowly, deliberately, the shell began to chip away, revealing a glimpse of soft feathers, then a piercing, intelligent eye…
*CRACK*
With a final crack, the shell gave way. A powerful, proud Rufflet chick emerged, larger than any newborn bird Pokémon Azure had ever seen, its feathery crest already pronounced, its eyes sharp and wise beyond its nascent stage.
It was an Alpha, undeniably. Its nascent psychic energy brushed against Azure's mind, a clear recognition as Azure rubbed its head, muttering happily, "Welcome to the world, little one. I'm Azure, and here are some treats."
The little Rufflet stretched its wings, then, with a soft cry, it nuzzled into Azure's chest, imprinting on him completely, accepting him not just as a trainer, but as a parent, a source of comfort and strength. Azure began to feed the Rufflet with Moomoo Milk as it cried happily, drinking the nutrients.
Azure smiled, a profound sense of accomplishment washing over him. The challenges of Hisui awaited them, but Azure, the seasoned trainer and Champion from a distant future, was ready to face them.
