Players Invade Cyberpunk

Chapter 69: I'm a Cop, Isn't This Quite Normal?

What's going on?

Brother Dao and the others wanted to know what was going on too.

They just saw two cars suddenly stop by the roadside, and more than a dozen Neon Gang members rushed out, trying to pull a pair of girls, who looked just seventeen or eighteen, into the cars.

A few of them thought it was a street side mission, a small act of bravery, so they stepped in to stop them.

"Grabbing women in broad daylight, where's the law? Where's justice?"

The opponent directly slapped away the bad soldier's hand, kicked him in the stomach, and cursed,

"Are you looking for death? Baka yaro!"

And then the fight broke out.

Initially, it was just a fistfight, and Brother Dao and the others struggled, being surrounded and beaten.

Players usually prioritize gun mastery skills; their fighting skills are just entry-level, relying on occasional training to gain experience, barely reaching basic LV2 or 3.

In the city, they didn't want to shoot back either, because Lin Miao had stipulated in the system not to fire the first shot unless on a mission.

But on the players' side, there was a bare-handed powerhouse and a fairly decent bad soldier. The two, along with three burdens, fought more than a dozen from the Tiger Claws.

Sianweistan's Natural Curl moved unpredictably, the gang members couldn't even touch his clothes, and his punches were decisive and powerful, as heavy as a sledgehammer. After a few encounters, the gang was left staggering, bruised, and clutching their faces and kidneys as they ran off. He didn't even bother to draw his sword while fighting them.

"Thank you... thank you all."

The two girls had been so scared before that they didn't even dare to run when the fight started, their legs were weak, and only now did they regain their senses.

In Night City, there's no such thing as being a good samaritan. When they were targeted by the Tiger Claws, they thought they were doomed. Being saved felt like coming back from the brink of death.

One of the girls pleaded,

"You should hurry and escape; they are from the Tiger Claws and will be back soon."

Brother Dao blinked,

"Tiger Claws? Isn't this Sixth Street Gang territory?"

Then he took out a map, looked at it for a long time, and realized that they had taken the wrong turn, ending up at the Long Beach border of Santo Domingo. No wonder they encountered the Tiger Claws.

But the players weren't worried at all, confidently saying,

"What's there to fear? Just a bunch of hajime, we don't even know how many we've taken down."

Kidding, they've wiped out countless Tiger Claws in the Phoenix Club, how could they be scared?

The two girls still seemed uneasy. They couldn't understand where this group's confidence came from, as the Tiger Claws were a major gang, like a force of nature to ordinary people.

Seeing they were just ordinary people, dressed plainly, Brother Dao and the others knew there wasn't any side mission or money as a reward, so they waved the girls off, treating it as a good deed for the day.

But just as the girls were repeatedly thanking them and preparing to leave, the Tiger Claws returned with even more people, now armed with guns and swords.

Seeing Brother Dao and the others still in place, the Tiger Claws raised their guns, fired, and in the blink of an eye, the two girls, who hadn't gotten far, were hit multiple times and fell in a pool of blood.

The players, instead the main target, instinctively reacted and scattered to find cover, bullets ricocheting off the ground as people screamed and cars turned around to flee.

"F**k!" The bad soldier glared furiously at the sight of the two girls he just saved collapsing.

"Call for backup! F**k these bastards! And get Gloria to call a doctor!"

He was the angriest among the five, going insane as he instantly pulled out dual guns from his waist, taking cover and starting a shootout with the Tiger Claws.

The next second, all the players in the city received a call for help. Over a dozen people didn't hesitate, dropped what they were doing, and drove towards the target location.

Meanwhile, Gloria, seeing the players' medical help signal in the employee system, was surprised at how fast it worked, even faster than ERO's signal receiver.

Now, as a chief physician, she had considerable authority. She immediately contacted the ERO medical staff closest to the incident point in Santo Domingo, giving orders while also heading there herself.

The ERO staff found it odd but said nothing. Gloria was a rising star at the company, outperforming Wolseck, and it wasn't worth offending her.

ERO's medical insurance cost 500 euro dollars per month, which was acceptable to the players. Seventeen veteran players in the city bought it.

This boosted Gloria's performance considerably, as she got a commission from selling such insurance.

On the Tiger Claws' side, Horie Sazaki, leading the group, was frustrated. He had received Zai Xian's message to capture two people in Santo Domingo, thinking it was a trivial task for his underlings.

But his underlings failed the task and were beaten by some nobodies.

They weren't from the Sixth Street Gang or any major corporation, so he couldn't just let it slide.

He immediately gathered more subordinates to prepare for revenge against these guys.

It was twenty-three against five, and his subordinates said only two were capable fighters, so no matter what, they had the upper hand.
