Plants vs Zombies the third element

Chapter 2: insert PVZ1 main menu theme

"This is not my house, nor the neighborhood I live in." Was the first thing Jason said as he stood in living room, he didn't notice it at first when he awoke and went about his day to do his morning routine. Which was of course going to take a morning wizz, brush the morning stank out his mouth.

Prepare to tiredly walk his dog which was a Jackrussle named Galaxy destroyer. Of course it wasn't named that, his jackrussle was named sweetheart for all the wrong reasons. He swore it only was still alive in its old age from hatred to all life, truly one of the best Sith Lords of a tiny dogs time.

Continuing on, Jason looking around him as he stood by his front door. He didn't notice that this wasn't his house from its layout, why he didn't notice for the fact that everything in home he live in was in this building. Except his dog, he could not find sweetheart no matter how hard he tried to call out for him.

What confused him further to the point his brain started hurting is that this home had a backyard with a weird pool. "At least it has a fence?…." Jason mumbled out, looking at the backyard through the screen door. "Why is the pool like that? Why….why is it so long? Who let the designer cook- ugh focus Jason!"

Jason felt like banging his head against a wall, but he decided he'll do that later. Right now he needed to get his barings and see what was even going on, he would open the front door to his apparently new home not of his own will and step out to see a wide lawn infront of the house he just exited.

There was a walkway from the front door to the left and right which the right walkway lead to the side walk, course he could just walk through the lawn itself nothing stopping him. All of this was starting to seem familiar, as if he should know this exact layout. That this place was common knowledge for any gooby goober to know.

"Why does this lawn layout look like it's from plants Vs zombies on- oooooooh noooooo" he would mumble out as when he stepped onto the lawn to look around, he couldn't help but to look behind him seeing the exact same house from PVZ 1.

All sorts of thoughts and feelings was going through his head, it was quite simple really. Him being in a universe where zombies existed, though his feelings of worry and dread began to lessen considerably due to multiple things being probably the least worst universe to be dropped into.

"Could be worse, I could be in warhammer or dropped into attack on Titan. Hell halo could be worse, many worse places to die in brutal ways or experiencing torture until the sweet release of death claims me."

He said to himself, though his worry for his safety was still in the forefront of his mind. There was also so much he didn't know at the moment, lore wise making him grow anxious enough that he quickly went back into the safety of his new home and promptly locked the door. And close the blinds, once he did all of that he then sat down on the couch and began to think deeply now that he knows where he exactly was. More specifically what universe, weighing his options and choices.

Along with other thoughts, the usual expected thoughts of thinking about your friends and family. Thoughts about never seeing them again began to make Jason breathe more heavily, he was starting to have a panic attack and did so for a few minutes.

Making him shake, struggling to breathe until he gradually began to calm down. "I need to find crazy Dave and get some plants, I need ways to protect myself than simply hiding behind a door that could be broken down. But where would I even find him? Ugh is this during PVZ1? PVZ2? The comics, what even happened in the comics- hell this could be taking place during Garden warfare. My chances of survival drastically decrease considering all the special zombies have guns, well it's not actual guns but still I'm certain that shit will hurt or hell could even cause internal bleeding"

He thought out, still sitting on the couch until he heard a knock on the door making his heart start to race as his eyes widen. His head turned to look at the door staring at it as he listened with growing fear that the zombies knew he was here.

Only for the knocking to stop, Jason did move a single muscle. Just carefully listening as he tried his best to ignore the sound of his fast beating heart in his ears. After sitting still for a few minutes hearing nothing then his heart beat and his near quiet breathing, he would slowly get up and approached the door.

Once he was close enough he would look through the peephole and see…..

No one, the street was still clear with no people or zombie in sight which was a good sign letting Jason release a sigh of relief only to notice two seed packets on the floor. Curiosity grew over his sense of fear, he couldn't see whoever knocked on the door. It was obvious it wasn't a zombie, otherwise the zombie in question would've banged on the door instead of knocking.

Still seeing no one after another minute of watching and waiting for someone to appear in his line of sight through the peephole Jason would open his door, and quickly take the two seed packets and swiftly went back inside shutting the door shut and locking it.

"Not suspicious at all, someone knocking on my door and leaving two seed packets being a sunflower seed packet and peashooter seed packet, not suspicious in the slightest." He said while looking at the two seed packets, pondering on his next move. Obviously he was definitely going to plant them.

What he was pondering on is if the game mechanics work here. Like if he could collect sun that would fall from the sky, or collect sun from the sun flowers so he could purchase and place down more plants.

"Considering I'm holding the actual seed packets, and I don't see any a uh hud or any system like features from the game, which sucks. I don't think some of the game mechanics carried over either"

He spoke aloud to himself, looking at the sunflower and peashooter seed packets. Disappointingly there was no instructions on the seed packet other than the picture of the plant on it and 'Bloom and Doom seed Co' atop of the seed packet itself.

"I know planting seeds should be easy but any instructions on what to watch out for would be nice. No sudden quests either it seems, guess no system so I'm not a 'player'."

While it was a let down, things wasn't all so bad. He wasn't in Warhammer so that's a major plus, and he got free seed packets of peashooters and sunflower. Which made him really curious on how long it'll take to grow them and how they'll react to him.

His expects them to not attack him for obvious reasons.

"I am human last I checked" he once again spoke to himself, considering it was just him in his house. Making up his mind Jason decided to step outside once more to start planting.

Of course first making sure the street was clear of any zombies that might be hungry, and if there was any fellow humans going about their day then that would be lovely as well.

Sadly life not fair with no people in sight, good news was no zombies either. But that just leads to Jason next problem.

"Huh, I don't think it'll be a good idea to plant all the peashooters infront of each other. Not like the game where it'll just go through them and hit the zombies"

While that wasn't a big issue that was easily solvable of just not being a silly little gooby goober and planting them infront of each other. He would have to plan more carefully on where to place a plant, not too hard.

And so for the next couple minutes Jason would start planting sunflower seeds and peashooter seeds. Of course making sure the sunflowers was at the back, what kind of monster would put the money sun producers at the front to stall and protect the shooters?

One problem he currently still have though was that the seeds wasn't infinite, which in hindsight was obvious. Every seed packet has a limited number of seeds that once you run out need to get more unless your garden was self sufficient.

Which sadly Jason didn't have a self sufficient garden, it is what it is. Once he planted all of the sunflower and peashooter seeds he would use a gardening hose to water where he planted the seeds and!

Waited with a happy and confident grin as he starred at his lawn. Specifically where he planted the sunflower and peashooter seeds. and waited some more to the point he looked at his wrist looking at his none existent watch.

"Anyyyyyy second now, mhm any moment a bunch of cute silly sunflower and peashooter little bozos will pop up! ...this is taking too long I do not have the patience for this"

Jason was not a patience mans, no sir and so promptly went back inside his new home to prepare himself some more at least for the future.

Mostly it was just him exploring this house he found himself in, while the layout was different but at least he still had all his furniture and other applicances which was a plus to him. His fridge was still full that should last him for a decent while and his deep freezer as well.

Though there was also stuff he didn't have before. Like the garage, which didn't have anything in it. Jason didn't own a car before he was forcibly dropped into the PVZ universe, so he wasn't sad by any means for still not having one.

The best news is though he found a shovel in the backyard where the odd pool was, which was a good thing as he now had himself a 'weapon' to protect himself with.

"I'm gonna shovel knight the shit outta those zombies one way or another." He said with a happy smile, until he got an intrusive thought. One of those random thoughts you have out of nowhere that you just need the answers too.

How deep is the pool exactly? It wasn't an important question he needed an answer too, he was curious about it now though. The tangle kelp in the game when you plant it was a fairly simple plant.

When you plant Tangle kelp in the pool it'll wrap its kelp tendrils around the closest zombie and pull them underwater with it killing the zombie instantly, even bucket head zombies aren't safe.

It's a one use plant like Squash once activated by a zombie it goes away needing to be replanted, which leads to him wonder how deep is the pool if the tangle kelp drags zombies to their doom at the bottom of the pool.

Taking a proper look at the pool Jason eyebrows would scrunch down as he looked confused, surprised and had a look of disbelief going through those emotions one at a time. "Why…why is the pool so deep? This is unreasonably deep"

The pool to his estimates was over eight feet deep, if he had to guess it was twelve or more but he couldn't properly tell. While Jason can swim with no issue, he wasn't one of those professional swimmers. "I am not swimming in that pool"

With his mind made up and curiosity satisfied he would go back into his house, and decided to take a nap. It's been one stressful day, he figured a nap wouldn't hurt and so after properly checking all doors was locked, checking on the lawn through the blinds to see if his plants grew which didn't.

He would go upstairs into his room, bringing his new trusty shovel with him and of course locked his bedroom door. And window, never could be too careful of course.

While Jason got comfortable to take his nap, on his lawn grass and dirt began to get disturbed as vines and a stem slowly grows out the ground, faster than an average plant should grow…..
