Pirates: Usurping a Kingdom Is Surprisingly Easy

Chapter 71: Soja Island in the West Blue

A few days later, a large casino on Soja Island in the West Blue buzzed with commotion.

"What! Germa 66's snail warship, the North Blue Overlord, and a Marine warship appeared at the port?"

"Yes, that's right! There's also a luxurious warship, and its flag seems to be from the Goa Empire of the East Blue!"

"Damn it! Why are both the North Blue Overlord and the East Blue Overlord in the West Blue today?!"

"Let's see what these bastards are doing here!"

"For the glory of the West Blue! We can't lose face, we can't lose dignity!"

"Let's go, to the port!"

"For the West Blue!"

A large group of underworld thugs rushed to the port, wanting to see what the uninvited guests were up to. The casino owner immediately called the local bandit gang, hoping Capone "Gang" Bege, the underworld godfather, would come and support them against the East Blue Overlord.

Marquis Aramaki snorted, "As expected of the pirate-infested West Blue. Pirate ships are openly docked in the ports of Allied Nations." He remembered that Soja Island was an Allied Nation island, yet it was so chaotic, rampant with pirates and the underworld. In his eyes, non-Allied Nations' people and pirates were all inferior beings without legal status who deserved to be trampled. If a pirate ship flying a pirate flag had appeared in the Taya Kingdom of the South Blue, it would have long become a military achievement on his record.

"This Sorbet Kingdom seems to be like the Kano Country and Wano Country—pirate Allied Nations where even gangs are legal," Tashigi began to explain. "More accurately, the Sorbet Kingdom should be called an underworld Allied Nation." She didn't understand why the World Government would accept the Celestial Tribute from these chaotic nations, turning them into legal Allied Nations. It's said that Marine admirals from the North Blue and West Blue are the fiercest, which is inextricably linked to the chaotic environment. Admiral Akainu and Admiral Kizaru are both from the North Blue. Tashigi had heard from Captain Smoker that Admiral Sakazuki lost his parents at a young age, picked up a knife early, fought for survival and revenge, and now upholds absolute justice. He is the most cold-blooded and cruel towards pirates.

Emperor Kael fell into thought. Perhaps it's precisely these chaotic islands where the underworld is legal that would make Issho, the Royal Offender, choose to live in seclusion and rot here. Kael recalled a certain country where gangs were also legal.

"Your Majesty, more and more people are gathering. Do we need to deal with them?" Aramaki looked expressionlessly at the thugs and curious pirates. He wanted to slaughter these grinning, frivolous pirate scum.

Tashigi was a little flustered. "Emperor Kael, those pirates' eyes are so terrifying. They don't seem to be afraid of even us Marines." Her soldiers were even more so. Coming from the peaceful East Blue, their strength was simply not enough for the chaotic West Blue. In the relatively peaceful South Blue, they could still rely on the Marine flag to intimidate scoundrels, but here, it was ineffective. It was like mice not being afraid of cats.

"Can we start fighting?!" Zoro also drew his sword, sensing that these people looked at them as if they were prey. He wanted to see who was the hunter.

"Pirates, mountain bandits, and gangs with bounties, kill them at will!" Kael's voice was cold and resolute. "Whoever dares to make a move, kill without mercy! The dignity of the Goa Empire is not to be violated!"

Marquis Aramaki grinned. "I like a king like this, full of Haki." He would not hold back.

"Let's go, get on the island and find someone!" Kael waved his cloak and led the way onto the island.

"Emperor Kael, our ships…" Tashigi pointed to the warships behind them, her tone full of worry. But the next moment, the three warships vanished right before her eyes, leaving her dumbfounded.

"They're gone. No need to make a fuss," Nami chuckled at Tashigi before quickly catching up with Kael and the others.

"Emperor Kael's Exile Power is amazing," Tashigi said. She quickly led her weak Marine soldiers to follow Kael and his group, realizing that the Goa Empire's Clone Soldiers and strong individuals now had to protect them.

A fierce clamor erupted in the crowd at the port. "They're gone! Oh my goodness!" "Is this the King of Exile's ability?" "What a loss, I wanted to steal something! That luxurious warship must have been full of treasure!" "Tch, steal? I wanted to directly rob their ships!"

Suddenly, the pirate who was just clamoring to rob the ship let out a sickening sound as a sharp root pierced through his back. "Ugh…" The pirate looked at the vine root in his chest and down to the ground. Why would roots suddenly grow from the ground? "Help…" The pirate's face was filled with terror as blood continuously overflowed from his mouth. But the next second, he rapidly shriveled into a corpse before everyone's horrified eyes.

"Ghosts! Run!" The noisy crowd exploded, scattering in all directions. But vines grew from the ground, as if guided, impaling all the pirates into the air and turning them into shriveled corpses.

"Comfortable. These scum without human rights should just die!" Aramaki showed a satisfied smile. Whether it was slaying pirate scum or devouring 'nutrition,' it made him feel pleased.

"You look really evil right now, Aramaki," Zoro, who had just been about to make a move, sheathed his sword and complained with a hint of disgust.

"Zoro, please call me Baron Aramaki," Aramaki said. "And you, too. The fewer times you call me that, the better. Maybe in a few days, you'll have to call me Marquis Aramaki!" Aramaki spread his hands and smiled indifferently. Killing these inferior humans and 'eating' them indeed made him very happy. Before, to get promoted, he had to worry about his officer image and suppress his 'eating people' behavior. But now, his path to promotion was incredibly clear. Devouring these pirates, in his mind, was like recycling waste. After all, if you can 'eat' it, don't waste it. This was also for Mother Nature—to clean up some harmful waste—and it could save food for Emperor Kael. His Majesty no longer has to worry about my food problems.

Aramaki's action instantly scared away the entire crowd watching at the port, as the impaled corpses were simply too terrifying. Meanwhile, Issho, the bodyguard at the casino entrance, listened to the discussions around him. The North Blue Overlord and the East Blue Overlord were here? Suddenly, he sharply raised his head, tilting his ears outward, his blind white pupils constantly vibrating as he 'saw' powerful figures approaching. One or two of those figures even made him feel a sense of threat.
