Chapter 314: Yangtze River Cableway
The two of them ate snacks and chatted as they arrived at the Yangtze River Cableway. Along the way, Jiang Siming observed the scenery and customs of Chongqing.
Chongqing is truly a magical place because you never really know which floor you’re on.
It may seem like you’re on the ground level by the road, but in reality, you could be dozens of meters above the ground, with multiple layers of living spaces beneath you.
The Yangtze River Cableway is Chongqing’s second cross-river cableway (the first being the Jialing River Cableway, which has been dismantled) and has been in operation for 30 years.
It is known as the "First Aerial Corridor of the Yangtze River" and the "Mountain City’s Aerial Public Transport."
After getting off the cableway, the two of them were troubled because they had no idea where Reba was—not even Xiaozhu was in sight.
"How are we supposed to find them?" Yue Yunpeng asked worriedly.
"Let’s go to the props mission area first. If they’re here, they should be doing the mission. If not, it means they’ve probably already completed it," Jiang Siming said with clear logic.
The props mission here involved riding the Yangtze River Cableway.
During the ride, they had to spot a specific boat on the Yangtze River below, arranged by the show’s production team, and recognize a poem displayed by the staff on board in order to complete the task. This mission required constantly looking down. The significant height difference made it difficult for those afraid of heights, and they also had to search for a boat and read a poem, making it quite challenging.
Sure enough, Yue Yunpeng was the first to struggle.
He was not skilled at high-altitude games, and the feeling of weightlessness made him scream nonstop on the cableway.
"Will this cable rope snap under the weight?"
Jiang Siming rolled his eyes at him and said, "Can you shut up with your jinxed words?"
"Alright, I’ll shut up, but Jiang bro, I really can’t help you with this one," Yue Yunpeng admitted.
He was good at eating, but when it came to this kind of task, he was hopeless.
Jiang Siming hadn’t expected him to be of any help anyway, so he focused on carefully scanning the vast Yangtze River below, searching for a marked boat.
He really did find one—it had a logo from *Go Fighting!* pasted on it.
People on the boat had already started holding up placards, but since the boat was moving, Jiang Siming had to constantly shift positions inside the cabin to keep watching.
Yue Yunpeng, with his eyes shut tight, curled up in a corner, providing exactly zero help to Jiang Siming.
Unfortunately, Jiang Siming only managed to see the first two words, "meeting", before the boat passed directly beneath them. The bottom of the cabin wasn’t transparent, so he missed many of the characters.
Later, he only managed to catch three more words, "beside the drooping willows".
"Meeting? Beside the drooping willows?"
How was he supposed to know which poem this was from? He couldn’t even use his phone to look it up—he had to rely entirely on his own literary knowledge.
Even if they gave Yue Yunpeng a few more characters, unless it was a poem that everyone knew, he wouldn’t be able to guess it.
"Do we have to ride it a few more times?"
Yue Yunpeng thought for a long time but came up with nothing. The only poem he could think of was *"Why must a meeting require prior acquaintance", but that had nothing to do with *’beside the drooping willows’.*
Jiang Siming, however, smiled after a moment of thought.
When the cableway reached the other side, Jiang Siming did not choose to ride it again. Instead, he ran straight to the staff who were in charge of distributing information.
Meeting in high spirits, drinking in your honor, tying my horse by the tall building beside the drooping willows.
The staff member gave him a thumbs-up and smiled. "Impressive, impressive. The previous participants had to ride multiple times before they recognized it."
"The previous ones? Which ones?" Jiang Siming caught onto something.
The staff member awkwardly replied, "We have to keep that confidential. I can only tell you that three people came."
"Three? Aside from Xiaozhu and Reba, it couldn’t have been Wang Xun. If it were him, the production team would have already announced their victory."
"That means it could only be Lei Jiayin."
Even though he wasn’t sure how Lei Jiayin managed to get here without money, it was entirely possible that he used his celebrity status to hitch a ride with some passersby.
After all, the rules of *Go Fighting!* were man-made and could always be adjusted flexibly.
"I’ve visited three mission locations, and none of them were repeated, which means each location provides unique information. I got Reba’s information at Bai Gongguan. Lei Jiayin definitely didn’t come from his own mission location, and Bai Gongguan’s task was street dance, which he wouldn’t have been able to complete so quickly."
"There’s only one possibility—he ran into Xiaozhu, won at rock-paper-scissors, or formed an alliance with him and shared information. Based on this reasoning, Wang Xun’s original location must have been Jiefangbei Road. Since Reba went to Wang Xun’s location, as long as she completed the task, she would definitely go to Jiefangbei. We just need to wait for her there."
Jiang Siming seemed to be muttering to himself, but his deductions were nearly spot-on.
Yue Yunpeng looked at Jiang Siming as if he were a new kind of fox. How could this person’s thinking be so meticulous? How did his brain work?
"Brother Jiang, where did you graduate from?" Yue Yunpeng asked curiously.
"Fudan," Jiang Siming casually replied.
Yue Yunpeng’s head buzzed. No wonder he figured it out so quickly—turns out he was a top student.
Apart from those close to Jiang Siming, no one knew his actual educational background.
People generally assumed that those in the streaming industry, especially gaming streamers, rarely had high academic qualifications.
When the show aired, Jiang Siming’s fans would once again be shocked.
After receiving the envelope, Jiang Siming opened it and saw Wang Xun’s location information.
【Wang Xun: Located at the Crown Grand Escalator, 7 kilometers away.】
But at this point, Wang Xun’s location no longer mattered—Jiang Siming already knew where Reba would be heading next.
Based on the timing, Reba had likely already completed Wang Xun’s task and was on her way to Jiefangbei Road.
"Brother Jiang, look! It’s Xiao Zhu!"
Yue Yunpeng suddenly spotted a sneaky figure approaching from behind them in a cable car.
"Haha, you two can’t escape now!" Xiao Zhu shouted excitedly, as if he had already secured victory.
Jiang Siming pretended to run.
Xiao Zhu immediately yelled, "I challenge you to a PK! You know the rules—you must accept my challenge, no running away!"
Hearing this, Jiang Siming obediently stayed in place.
As soon as the cable car arrived, Xiao Zhu jumped out and surrounded Jiang Siming, afraid he would escape.
"Brother Jiang, sorry about this, hehe. Hand over all your money—you’re not going anywhere!" Xiao Zhu grinned.
Jiang Siming leaned on his hand and asked with a smile, "Where does your confidence come from? What makes you think you can beat me?"
"My unbeatable luck and my massive funds! I won all of Yue Yunpeng’s money. Now I have over 500 bucks—is that enough to win against you?"
So he really did take out Wang Xun.
"Just 500 bucks, and you think you can take down everyone? Brother Zhu, aren’t you getting a little cocky?" Jiang Siming sneered.
"Enough talk, let’s start. You decide the wager per round."
Little Pig was extremely confident in his rock-paper-scissors skills. Enjoy exclusive adventures from
Jiang Siming smiled. Since someone was offering him free money, he wouldn’t refuse.
"How about 50 per round? Let’s wrap this up quickly."
"OK! No problem!" Little Pig agreed without hesitation.
A seemingly intense "Gambling King" showdown was about to begin, but for Jiang Siming, the outcome was already decided. He had no concept of nervousness.
