Chapter 283: Chapter 283: The Reason Behind the Treasure Legend on Red Adventure Island

After dinner, the Dream Crew started going over what they had found today.

Nami was the happiest by far. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, and a big smile spread across her face.

After all, they had found a huge pile of treasure today—especially an unbelievable number of rare gems.

She was so thrilled it felt like she was in a dream.

So, right after finishing their meal, everyone couldn't wait to enter Nami's special space.

"Ryuen, do you think… we're the richest people on this whole ocean now?" Nami asked with joy, her eyes full of hope and pride.

Ryuen looked at the mountain of gold, treasure, and gems in front of him, just as amazed and stunned.

He couldn't help but say, "No doubt about it. I really can't imagine anyone being richer than us!"

Not only did they already have the golden city from Sky Island, but now they'd added a brand-new treasure mountain to it.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say they were now the wealthiest group on the sea!

"Looks like the treasure they talk about on Red Adventure Island was actually what we found inside the Dragon Cavern," Robin said thoughtfully.

Her voice carried a quiet, mysterious tone.

Robin's words made everyone stop and think. One by one, they nodded in agreement.

After all their adventures and hard work, they had finally uncovered the secrets of Red Adventure Island and found the legendary treasure.

Now, this wealth would give them solid support for the journeys ahead, helping them chase even more dreams and goals.

"By the way, Robin," Ryuen said with curiosity, "you mentioned signs of human activity here. Did you find anything when you went out just now?"

Robin nodded. "I found something interesting~"

As she spoke, she pulled a notebook from her backpack. "I came across some murals. They were probably carved by people who used to live here. They show when the red dragon came to this place and why those people left..."

Ryuen took the notebook and began reading carefully.

The murals said that there used to be an ancient tribe here. This valley was actually the safest part of the whole forest.

The area around it was filled with poisonous gas, insects, and dangerous animals.

Together, these things formed a natural barrier, cutting the valley off from the outside world and keeping the people who lived here safe.

But everything changed when the red dragon arrived.

Its presence turned their peaceful life upside down. It attacked the tribe often, and even the strongest warrior couldn't stand up to it.

Things got worse when, during one of the dragon's attacks, the warrior died. Without him, the tribe no longer had the strength to fight back.

In the end, the people had no choice but to leave their home and go search for a new place to live.

That's how the valley became the red dragon's territory.

"But wait," Hogg asked in confusion, "how did news about the treasure get out? Just the poisonous gas and dangerous bugs around here would scare off most people."

"Maybe someone actually made it here," Nojiko guessed. "Maybe they went into the dragon's cave and saw the treasure mountain—but since they couldn't defeat the dragon, they just spread the story after they escaped…"

"That's possible," Kuina said seriously. "That dragon isn't something just anyone can handle."

Although she had injured the dragon, it wasn't a serious wound.

If her Haki hadn't been strong enough, just her sword skills and the Wado Ichimonji might not have been enough to get through the dragon's tough scales!

"Well… we did get the legendary treasure," Anya said, "and we even saw a dragon, a creature from legends. It's just a shame that it got away—we didn't even get to try dragon meat."

"You guys are really something… You took all its treasure, and now you're talking about eating it…" Reinasaid softly.

Everyone burst out laughing at Reina's comment.

After that, they spent some time sorting the treasure. Daisy used her ability to help organize everything.

Once everything was sorted, they all washed up and went to sleep.

...

The next morning, just as the sky was starting to lighten, the deep parts of Red Adventure Island's forest were still covered in thick fog. There was no sign of the sun.

The forest felt like a quiet white world filled with mystery. The heavy mist made everything seem like a dream, almost like being in a fairy tale.

It was as if this place was completely cut off from the outside world—strange and unknown.

Ryuen crawled out of his tent and frowned at the fog covering the mountains. It should've been after 8 a.m., but the visibility was only about twenty meters.

The morning sun at eight or nine o'clock still couldn't break through the thick fog.

By this time, the rest of the Dream Team had also woken up. Everyone rubbed their sleepy eyes and came out of their tents. When they saw the heavy fog, they were all surprised.

"Nami, what's going on?" Nojiko looked at Nami.

Nami didn't answer right away. She carefully looked around and took a moment to feel the air. "Well, this is a rainforest after all. There's a lot of moisture in the air. Plus, the ground under our feet is kind of strange. The temperature difference between night and day is huge…"

"Looks like we'll have to wait for the fog to clear before we can start today's mapping work," Robin murmured, staring at the fog-covered mountains.

"And that dragon hasn't come back since it left. Has it really given up this area?" Kuina still seemed a little frustrated.

Last night, she barely slept. She kept using Observation Haki to watch the area, but never spotted any trace of the dragon.

"It's not stupid. Since the fog isn't going away anytime soon, let's eat breakfast first," Ryuen said softly.

"I'll get started."

With that, Anya walked over to the mobile kitchen to prepare breakfast.
