Chapter 45: 45. Fantasy Parade Part 4

Chapter 45

Before heading off to clean up after Laxus, I walked over to where Natsu was lying.

- Wake up! - I said, giving the fire dragon slayer a kick, but surprisingly, even when he literally crashed into the guild wall, he didn't show any reaction, except that he seemed to be sleeping.

"Maybe he's not pretending after all?" Gray suggested uncertainly.

- As if I didn't notice, damn it. - I snapped, being irritated by what was happening and headed towards the magician to check his condition.

- Mmm? Seriously? Master, your grandson prepared a little more than I thought, it turns out he sprinkled Natsu with a sleeping pill that was supposed to be activated by a lightning charge. - I was surprised, especially considering that in relation to us, they seemed to think that Evergreen's magic would be enough.

"It didn't make me feel any better," Makarov answered gloomily.

- Okay, now we'll get him back on his feet, and we'll have to think a little about punishment, so that in the future he doesn't fall for such tricks, it's not for nothing that he has the nose of a dragon slayer. - I thought.

- Maybe we shouldn't? - Gray became surprisingly worried.

- Hm? Did you also fall for this trick? - I looked closely at the student.

- N-no of course, - Gray answered, slightly hesitating.

- Okay, live. But next time you won't get off so easily. - I let him go.

- I know exactly how to punish Natsu! - I suddenly exclaimed, immediately getting down to business. First, I eliminated the nastiness without waking the guy, and then added a little of my own so that he would remember the lesson for a long time. Now it was time to wake him up.

- Hey, wake up. - I said, not too loudly, while lightly slapping his cheeks with my palm. Yes, lightly! The fact that his head was shaking to the side with each slap was just how he was waking up and nothing else.

- I'm not sleeping! - the guy suddenly exclaimed, his cheeks flushed, noticing that I was getting ready to spank him again.

- Yes? Okay then. You have 12 hours before the punishment comes into effect, use this time wisely.

- Punishment? What will happen in 12 hours?! - Dragneel exclaimed in horror.

- Secret. - I answered, trying to look as nice as possible. And just at that moment, Fried's writings dispersed. Apparently, Elsa had already gathered everyone in the backyard of the guild, so it wouldn't hurt for me to get down to business.

- Well, people, I'm going to clean up after Laxus. - Having announced my intentions, I left the guild and, taking off with the help of wind magic, headed straight to the middle of the city.

Ideally, now I wanted to hit all the components of the lightning palace with one blow, because of how it is arranged, this should lead to the fact that all the accumulated energy will be directed at me. Well, and I, in turn, having absorbed it, will direct what I received in the right direction, namely, organizing a viewing of the tournament for all the inhabitants of magnolia, well, and I need to repair those buildings that the fairies who rushed into battle managed to damage.

Soaring in the sky above the city, first of all I began to form magic circles, for a future idea, and then I prepared a spell for each lacrima that made up the lightning palace, and five minutes later the preparation for a large-scale apocalypse was over, the entire city was covered by 2 huge magic circles, and in the center you could see how I was surrounded by more than a hundred magic circles of a much smaller size.

One moment, all the inhabitants of magnolia looked in fear at the unknown spell that was being prepared right above them. At first, as if for a moment the space itself from the center to the heavens of the city was distorted and the next second, a multitude of lightning bolts, clearly of magical origin, returned back to the center. The completely frozen inhabitants watched the mesmerizing spectacle as huge magic circles began to fill with color, one white and the other green. Some even began to pray to unknown gods, confident that this was the end of their short lives, but instead, houses and even roads that were somewhere worn out by time, and somewhere just slightly damaged, began to become like new. As soon as the amazing spectacle ended, many screens appeared in the sky, on which one could see the blue-haired sorceress of Fairy Tail who was hovering in the sky.

"I wonder where Laxus got so much magic? I thought I would have to use my reserves as well, but here only the magic from the Lightning Palace was enough," I thought before I started speaking in front of the audience.

- Dear residents of Magnolia and dear guests from other cities, allow me to introduce you to an event that has never been held at such a wonderful festival as the "Parade Fantasia"! Today, a tournament for the title of the strongest Fairy Tail mage will be held! Everyone will be able to see it either through specially created screens or by coming to our guild, where an arena and stands will be erected for the duration of the event. The event will begin in 20 minutes, and in the meantime there will be a musical break with music from another world. - I announced as confidently as my oratorical skills allowed, well, let's be honest, enormous power gives a huge boost of confidence and, let's be honest, pride too.

- Hahaha, I knew that there was no way that something really bad could happen as long as Fairy Tail was in this city!

- Who are you talking to? You literally just stood on your knees next to me and prayed to gods I've never even heard of!

Various relieved cries and laughter could be heard throughout the city, and when the music started playing, the city was once again covered in a festive atmosphere.
