Chapter 569 - 569 Journey to the Spirit Realm

Chapter 569: Chapter 569 Journey to the Spirit Realm

“Is this the Spirit Realm?” Shi Hao stood on this side of the Golden Giant Gate, stepping into a domain connected to the higher realms, looking up and surveying this Divine Soil.

Before him, a stone cliff soared into the high skies, pitch-black in color, with precious medicine taking root in the stone crevices. The massive nests of fearsome birds were built on the barren summit of Stone Mountain, with a sinister aura emerging.

On the other side, mountains loomed majestically, like giant auspicious animals lying in wait, imbued with a spiritual charm. The area was lush and verdant, with wooden vines rooting deeply, entwining the mountain peaks like dragons, and even more impressive were the thousands of feet of silver waterfalls cascading down, with mist rising from them.

In the distance, ancient trees on the great land reached to the sky, with Prehistoric Beasts roaming and powerful Divine Birds spreading their wings, disappearing into the horizon.

Shi Hao’s heart was filled with ripples, from which he could infer that the true higher realms must be even stronger, more vibrant with life, brimming with the essence of immortals, suitable for cultivation.

A group of people stood in the distance, some fearful, others amazed, wanting to know what he would do next, and they discussed in hushed tones.

...

“After tens of thousands of years, a great fiend has come up again, entering our Spirit Realm, what kind of storm will he stir up?”

“There are so many masters in our upper world, with the Primordial rising and heroes standing side by side. Once they receive the news and rush here, he is destined to be subdued and become a Mountain Guardian Beast for some sacred land, his body escorted up.”

Shi Hao, whose instincts and perception were incredibly sharp, heard the whispers and fiercely glared; beams of light shot through the air, striking fear into the person who was speaking, who let out a cry and collapsed to the ground.

This was the intimidation of the soul, suppression with Divine Sense!

“How terrifying, the great fiend has come. Is he going to sweep across the region? How many creatures will he devour?” cried a little girl, who burst into tears out of fear.

Shi Hao found it both amusing and frustrating. He clearly had not actively killed any living beings, his ascent had been relatively peaceful, so how had he become so wicked and ruthless all of a sudden?

“Such bright white teeth, glittering and terrifying. He isn’t going to pounce on us now, is he? Even Teng Yi of the Huojin Clan couldn’t suppress him, we better hurry and leave the Spirit Realm, get back to reality,” two little girls hugged each other, crying out before running away.

Soon after, a group of strong individuals scattered as if infected.

“Don’t go, stay and let’s talk nicely, I won’t eat you,” Shi Hao called out behind them, trying to appear friendly and exceedingly “charitable.”

“Monster, run for your lives!” Even the adult powerhouses fled in panic, seeing Shi Hao’s “kind smile” as no less deceptive than crocodile tears.

Shi Hao followed behind steadily; his speed was so fast that he soon caught up with a few, patting a formidable man wielding Wolf Fang Poles on the back and said warmly, “Brother, slow down, I have something to say to you.”

“Ah… Demon!” The man with a full beard swung his Wolf Fang Poles in a panic, which Shi Hao deflects with a single gold colored finger, shattering the weapon.

Everyone’s color changed; the formidable Shi Hao, capable of contending with the Primordial, had finally used the power of karma to ‘deal with’ Teng Yi. How could they compare to such methods? The gap was enormous.

When Shi Hao charged forward, once he exerted his might, it was as though a tiger had entered a flock of sheep, invincible in every direction.

The big man erupted, burning his potential in a desperate fight, only to be covered in blood.

Shi Hao shook his head and said, “Do you have to push yourself to death? I didn’t even do anything to you.” He left the man behind, and with a flash, appeared in front of a young man, more direct this time, causing the handsome youth to roll his eyes and faint in fright.

“Waaaah…” Ahead, several young girls screamed, their faces pale.

“Evildoer, stop your ferocity, I have come to subdue the demon and vanquish the fiend.” At that moment, a golden figure appeared, as glaring as Vajrapani, with hair no longer than an inch, brandishing an alms bowl and smashing it forward.

“Thank goodness, a Venerable One from the Western Sect has wandered here, maybe there’s hope,” shouted a young man.

Shi Hao roared, and his Undying Golden Body Battle Clothes appeared. His body transformed, and in that instant, he became a giant Peng bird, its wings shaking the mountains and earth.

This was the use of the seventy two transformation; in a flash, his body became a Peng and then he employed his clan’s precious symbol to the utmost, as if a true giant Peng bird was reborn.

This was the most heaven-defying aspect of the seventy two transformation that Shi Hao had recently unearthed!

At this moment, the heavens and earth thundered, terrifying ripples surged for dozens of miles, a Peng bird dazzling with gold and black patterns, possessing an invincible stature.

“Dong!”

It clapped down with a claw, subduing the most powerful Treasured Artifact—the alms bowl, all its luster contained and murderous aura extinguished.

Then, with a sweep of its wings, as if a Heavenly Blade had rent the sky, golden radiance overflowed, sending the Venerable One flying, blood spilling from his mouth.

The crowd was shocked, turning stupefied from head to toe.

In the next moment, Shi Hao reverted to human form, looking at the “glaring Vajrapani” struggling in the alms bowl, and said, “Subduing demons and vanquishing fiends, it seems I should take you in.”

“Run, the great fiend Shi Hao has invaded the upper world, even the Venerable One of the Western Sect has been devoured by him. Only sect master-level powerhouses and the young Supremes from various clans who have emerged can resist.”

In an instant, the hills and fields were filled with fleeing figures.

Shi Hao followed, ‘chatting’ with the Venerable One in the alms bowl, while chasing the crowd, catching up to one after another to ask the questions he wanted to know.

Thus, a strange scene unfolded with one man chasing countless Cultivators fleeing across the land, the number growing more and more, densely packed, impossible to count how many.

After chasing out for five hundred miles, these people had become a flood, even agitating the fierce birds and wild beasts in the mountains, triggering an animal tide, like a disturbance.

In the Spirit Realm, one must leave through the same way they entered, so many did not want to simply vanish, only flee desperately.

“Don’t be afraid, the heroes and great figures of all races will receive the news and rush here soon. They will surely suppress him,” there were those with strong spirits who said this while fleeing.

But when Shi Hao caught up, they too trembled, seeing the Soul Shattering Needle and Soul Suppression Tower he held in his hand that could kill strong beings in the Spirit Realm.

At last, various creatures teemed in all directions, boundless and endless, densely packed in the sky and on the ground, creating an oppressive darkness.

“It really has nothing to do with me.” Shi Hao felt helpless; his “friendly” and “charitable” demeanor was perceived as menacing by those with their cold, gleaming eyes, and his gentle smile was seen as sinister and savage.

“Descendant of Sinful Blood, how dare you be so rampant, wreaking havoc in the higher realms? Even your ancestors were Suppressed, what waves can you possibly stir up?” A clear voice rang out.

Far away, atop a mountain, stood a man alone. As his voice was heard, a path of golden light unfolded from the summit, approaching at incredible speed and instantly covered dozens of miles, rushing forward.

He stood motionless on the path of golden light. When it reached nearby, it stretched horizontally, blocking the way.

His head bore golden hair, his battle garment fluttered in the wind, and his robe sleeves were embroidered with a golden Divine Lotus. Additionally, a lotus mark glimmered on his forehead.

This person was indeed strong!

Shi Hao was surprised to see another expert. What race did this man belong to? Could he also be a Primordial? However, that seemed unlikely; such individuals reside in their own domains, unable to coexist in one place.

“This is Qing Ge, the brother of Qingxian!” someone exclaimed, stopping in their tracks, showing an excited expression and looking forward with great anticipation.

Upon hearing this, Shi Hao knew that this man’s sister must be extraordinary. Otherwise, why would she be mentioned before him? She must be transcendent.

“The brother of Qingxian, the young female Supreme of the Lotus Clan, has come. Could it be that she is not far behind?” some people were invigorated.

Of course, more people chose to flee from afar. The ground was swarming like a beast tide. Many creatures went far away, not wanting to be too close to this great danger.

Only the strong remained, watching the battle from a distance.

“Lotus clan… Were you born from a lotus?” Shi Hao asked.

“No need for more words, I’ll capture you.” Qing Ge rushed forward, his golden hair splendid. His pupils also turned pale gold in an instant, his powerful aura soaring.

“Dong!”

In this void, endless Divine Fire surged forth, blazing wildly and climbing into the sky. One after another, golden lotuses took root, accompanied by the dao’s rhythm.

“Huh?” Shi Hao was quite astonished. This aura was terrifying and was even threatening him.

In the midst of the fierce flames, one golden lotus after another grew rapidly, soon reaching thirty feet in height. All were immensely large with stems, leaves, and flowers all of golden color.

Qing Ge was also a prodigy. This was his only practiced Divine Skill; he pursued no other precious symbols and yet could look disdainfully upon his contemporaries.

With the Blazing Fire Golden Lotus, he consolidated the power of heaven and earth. He instantaneously became one with the Celestials, acting in accordance with the heavens’ will, wielding Divine Punishment to make judgments.

Typically, only those who had ignited divine flames could begin to comprehend those supreme natural laws to wield Divine Punishment, but he had prematurely touched upon them.

“Dong!”

All the golden lotuses swayed, shedding Gold colored runes, carrying endless fiery light, to suppress Shi Hao.

In just an instant, Shi Hao found his pressure multiplied, feeling wave after wave of threat. Without hesitation, he instantaneously manifested three heads and six arms and then simultaneously invoked boundless lightning to combat the overwhelming golden lotuses.

In the fierce collision, Shi Hao struck dozens of times, clashing with Qing Ge here, finally shaking him into coughing up blood, hurtling through the air.

Although Qing Ge wielded “Divine Punishment,” his realm was ultimately not adequate.

The golden lotuses converged, transforming into one blossom that enveloped Shi Hao, steaming with countless strands of gold-colored mist and emitting terrifying fluctuations.

“Refine!” Qing Ge shouted loudly.

The crowd gasped in admiration; worthy of a prodigy, if not for his sister overshadowing him, he was destined to become the king of his clan, capable of contending with the strongest of his peers.

Time seemed to stretch endlessly as the fiery flames burned and the golden lotuses shone brilliantly, refining Shi Hao. For him, this was an unprecedented event, encountering such a formidable opponent.

“Dong!”

Suddenly, Shi Hao burst out. The golden lotus exploded, light rained down, and broken petals fell as Qing Ge was left listless.

In the end, he was lacking, far from being Shi Hao’s match. Shi Hao glowed all over. Runes densely covered him, accompanied by lightning as he seized Qing Ge.

“It’s time to go back,” Shi Hao murmured to himself. If it gets too late, something unexpected might occur, and if the Golden Giant Gate is blocked, it would be troublesome.

After all, his body was still in the Lower Realm, and though his spirit had ascended, if he lost contact with his body below, it would wither away sooner or later.

“Don’t commit suicide; I just want to talk with you, I won’t force you,” Shi Hao spoke up. He saw Qing Ge attempting to self-destruct with a Secret Technique and stopped him.

“Shoo!”

He transformed into a giant Peng bird, soaring with wings spread. In the blink of an eye, he carried an alms bowl as well as Qing Ge, darting through the Golden Gate and landing on the Copper Sparrow Altar.

The ensuing conversation was bound to be difficult, but Shi Hao also learned some information he had been eager to know.

He wanted to verify once more which of the paths to the higher realms was most steady and safe.

Finally, as promised, he released all the captives. With his robe fluttering, he walked toward that heavenly path, commencing his return, his True Body would head to the higher realms!

Shi Hao didn’t know the turmoil he had stirred on the other side of the Spirit Realm after leaving, by the Golden Gate—a surge of commotion, many Supreme beings arrived, the true Primordials personally came!
