Chapter 508 - 508 Golden Crow Sea
Chapter 508: Chapter 508 Golden Crow Sea
Archaic Golden Crows rank among the most powerful species in the cosmos, and in the process of mythological origin, they enjoy an unattainable status and height among ordinary creatures. It is said that even the sun in the sky is a slumbering ancient Archaic Golden Crow.
This one certainly hadn’t reached such heights, nor was it close to being a god or a Sacred Entity. However, it was not an average creature, as it exuded an aura of a Venerable One, its golden body shimmering, and its wings emitting blinding rays of light.
Shi Hao, not wishing to stir up unnecessary trouble, reined in his own aura, sidestepped it, and watched as it flew into the distance, leaving behind a golden arc in the void.
“This Primeval Treasure Realm is truly extraordinary; it houses powerful Venerable Ones,” he muttered to himself.
The recent cataclysms across the eight regions had led to the disappearance and deaths of many Venerable Ones, and aside from a few schools, it had become very difficult to find such high-level beings.
It made sense that powerful creatures would emerge now that the Primeval Treasure Realm, sealed until now, had appeared in the world.
“Buzz!”
Suddenly, a rumbling sound came from afar, the void trembled, and then he felt an overwhelming flood-like presence.
“What’s that?” his heart jolted.
In the distance lay a vast expanse of golden fiery light that, despite its remoteness, assaulted him with its intense heat, as if a sea of magma had erupted, causing the heavens and earth to parch.
Shi Hao remained resolute, then his scalp tingled, and he turned to leave, transforming into a shadowy figure that vanished from the area.
To his astonishment, there sprawled an immense multitude of beings, blanketing the sky, numbering over a hundred thousand, all glowing bodies that resembled lit torches, creating an imposing sea of flames.
These were Flame Crows, a strong species with the bloodline of the Archaic Golden Crow, amassing in such numbers to form a powerful stream sweeping across the high skies.
Most of these creatures were black, spewing flames, while some were pale gold with dazzling feathers, cutting across the sky, burning with Divine Light.
Regardless of individual strength, the sheer number of them was enough to crush everything; the rampage of over a hundred thousand Flame Crows was a terrifying tale to tell.
“Something’s strange. What happened? They seem to be searching for something. Could it be that those noble ladies and talents from the higher realms have enraged them?”
Shi Hao dodged them, speeding through the woodland, fleeing the area. As strong as he was, even he did not want to provoke such a vast number of creatures. And it seemed this was not their full number.
“This is a clan that has formed a city. We couldn’t possibly ascend to their ancestral land. The Flame Crows are too numerous.”
“But that ancestral land likely harbors treasures. Didn’t you see that there are Venerable Archaic Golden Crows roaming around? If we could sneak in, we might acquire the Golden Crow Clan’s Profound Treasure Art.”
Shi Hao had just left the area when, in front of a valley, he overheard some people whispering. They were panting, clearly just having escaped as well.
Observing carefully from the shadows, he recognized them as the talents from the higher realms, somewhat in disarray after being chased for who knows how many miles, their robes even charred.
However, he did not see those noble ladies; they must have been scattered.
“Two or three Venerable Archaic Golden Crows wouldn’t matter. We are strong enough ourselves and have brought treasures down from the higher realms, enough to suppress them. We cannot overlook the treasure land of the Golden Crow Clan,” one of them said.
It was indeed they who had caused the trouble, seeking to explore the ancestral land of the Golden Crow and Flame Crow clans.
Shi Hao, uninterested in meddling, disappeared in a flash, leaving the place behind.
Crossing over a thousand miles, he once again heard the sound of flapping wings. This time, fiery light billowed in the distance, the number of firebirds not less than a hundred and fifty thousand, twisting the firmament with their flames.
Shi Hao shifted his position once again, unwilling to be swept up by the tumult.
However, the direction he now took led straight towards the dwelling place of the Flame Crow clan. After advancing a few hundred miles, he saw a city where many human-bodied, bird-headed creatures came and went.
Nearby, there were numerous volcanoes, their magma bubbling furiously, the area swelteringly hot.
Despite the searing heat, the place was filled with a rich Spiritual Energy that both aggravated and soothed, painful yet pleasurable.
“Earthflame Liquid!”
Shi Hao exclaimed in astonishment. Near the great city, the bubbling liquid was not all magma; some streams formed pools radiating strong Essence Qi, actually Earthflame Liquid.
This was a type of fire-elemental Spiritual Liquid, generally contained within magma and rather difficult to extract. Unexpectedly, there was quite an abundance here, gathering into several Spirit Pools.
Not too many or too few, precisely eight of them. Though not of the highest tier of Divine Liquid, their sheer volume was impressive, one pool nearly forming a small scarlet lake.
Shi Hao’s heart raced, feeling a warmth in his chest: his Supreme Bone sensed powerful Divine Power and yearned to absorb it, to evolve and further mature and perfect itself.
“No, it’s impossible. There are over a million Flame Crows and Golden Crows here. To actually touch this Earthflame Liquid would likely provoke a world-spanning pursuit.”
He had no desire to become a scapegoat for those higher realm talents who had incurred the wrath of the Golden Crow. If he got too close now, he would surely be blamed.
“Let’s wait and see. If they reappear, seeking to explore some ancestral land, I’ll return here to seize the opportunity.” Observing carefully, he noticed the Flame Crow clan’s lax guard over the Earthflame Liquid, due to the abundance of Spiritual Liquid in this place.
By the city gates, some firebirds were quite strong. Most wore black armor, while a few donned shining golden armor, patrolling the areas.
Inside the city, the presence of potent forces was frequent, with kings making their presence felt, and even the pulsations of Venerable Ones releasing Divine Power, immensely powerful and awe-inspiring, engendering deep caution in others.
Shi Hao watched for a while and then turned to leave.
Two days later, he was lying in a small pool filled with a fragrant white liquid. Not far from him, vines grew lushly, and around him flowed a Divine Essence.
“It’s hard to imagine that this Primeval Treasure Realm is so rich in resources that in some places, the Spiritual Energy has even turned into liquid!”
This was an ancient cave dwelling that had been deserted for many years. Inside was a pool filled to the brim with Stone Milk, white Spiritual Energy that was fragrant and astonishing.
Gulp after gulp, Shi Hao drank his fill before sitting inside it. This was surely an accumulation of tens of thousands of years, containing powerful Spiritual Essences.
Stone Milk was not the top Divine Liquid, but a pool of it measuring one meter square was still incredible. It bathed him in Immortal Light, making him feel light and comfortable.
“It’s a pity that it hasn’t evolved into Earth Milk; the effect would have been even better.”
Even so, this pool of Liquid Thunder was still considerable. The most essence part transformed into a beam of white light and entered his chest, nourishing that bone.
In recent days, this bone had become increasingly active. Whenever it sensed the dense Heaven and Earth Essence Qi, it would autonomously revive and absorb energy, clearly on the verge of complete growth.
Soon after, the pool of Stone Milk turned into clear water, its essence completely absorbed. Shi Hao felt a warm comfort throughout his body, and with a single thought, his breastbone glowed, surging with a powerful force.
At this moment, he could see the characters, intricate and dense, engraved on that white bone as if they were a Heavenly Tome.
This was a mighty Divine Skill, a Supreme Treasure Art belonging solely to him!
“This sealed world is full of Divine Substances. Perhaps there’s no need to seek opportunities at the Golden Crow’s place,” Shi Hao mused. If he could frequently encounter such Spirit Pools, they would be enough to nourish the Supreme Bone.
Without a doubt, having been sealed for an endless number of years, the Primeval Treasure Realm contained too many spiritual creatures of immeasurable value. Should the outside world learn of it, they would surely swarm in.
“While there are still few who know of it, I should quickly collect some.”
Over the next few days, Shi Hao reaped a rich harvest, exploring the area and discovering several powerful tribes that had established their own ancient cities.
“Boom!”
Suddenly, powerful fluctuations came from afar. A fiery beam erupted, piercing through the clouds. The fiery light surged, dazzling and bright.
An abnormal disturbance had occurred at the Golden Crow Clan’s location!
Shi Hao didn’t want to go, but then he felt several strong presences emerge from the surrounding space. Several Venerable Ones crossed the sky and headed there.
They were powerful beings of the Primeval Treasure Realm, mighty creatures from this world. Even they rushed over, indicating that something extraordinary may have occurred, possibly presenting an opportunity.
Shi Hao unfolded the Kun Peng’s technique and also rushed over.
Approaching from a distance, a wave of heat surged toward him. The horizon ahead was a fiery red.
Several Venerable Ones appeared in the distance, their eyes glowing with intense desire, powerful creatures like the Silver Lion, a nine-headed giant serpent, and the ancient survivors, the giant golden giants, guarding this place.
To the rear of the Golden Crow Ancient City, the sky crumbled and the earth cracked, where an ancient Array disintegrated. The sealed Primordial Ancients’ Divine Soil reappeared in the world, emitting endless fiery light.
Shi Hao was shocked. The volcanoes and Earthflame Liquid he had seen before were nothing compared to this. At the back of that ancient city spread a boundless expanse — a Magma Sea!
Was this truly magma? More vast than the sea, with no end in sight, it stretched to the far reaches of the horizon. The heat was astonishing. The red golden liquid surged, releasing scorching energy.
Amidst the fiery red and dazzling glow, ships of ancient design cruised over this Magma Sea, drifting with the flow of the magma.
“The ancestral lands of the Golden Crow Clan, unsealed today, will grant us a tremendous opportunity!” laughed a Venerable One. Glancing at the others, they all saw the burning eagerness in each other’s eyes.
Deep within the Magma Sea, a vast surge of Divine Power emitted waves, and a rich Essence Qi flowed toward them, fragrant and so invigorating that a single breath made one feel light as air.
One of the Venerable Ones rejoiced, transformed into a Five-Colored Deer, its hooves treading the void, charging towards the depths of the Magma Sea. But shortly after charging forward, it plunged with a plunk into the liquid magma, in a most embarrassing state, with even light smoke rising from its body, on the verge of burning up.
He cried out loudly, his face revealing terror as he hurriedly dashed upwards, retreating back to the shore.
It was a “No-Fly Zone” domain; even as powerful as Venerable Ones, they couldn’t fly here. And the temperature of the Magma Sea was excessively high; it could injure even Venerable Ones, a chilling thought.
“Eh, he’s here too. Should we invite him to join us in exploring the ‘Golden Crow Sea’?” Not far away, a few young people appeared. One of them spoke up, and they were a few prodigies from the higher realms.
One of them, enshrouded in Sacred Entity light with profound eyes, was Xuan Ming. He had once sought to recruit Shi Hao, who had refused. Xuan Ming glanced at the distant Shi Hao and murmured softly, “No need; a prodigy of the Lower Realm, however extraordinary, is useless here and would only be a burden.”
Suddenly, an even more intense fluctuation transmitted, a tumultuous surge of Divine Power. Deep within the Golden Crow Sea, a magnificent scene manifested – a giant Divine Tree reaching skyward, rooted in the sea, bathed in golden hue, holding up the sun, moon, and stars, and a grand temple, shimmering in and out of view, radiating an immortal glow.
“Could it be…” Xuan Ming trembled, his body shaking.
“It’s the Solar Divine Tree, and that temple is…” The prodigies of the higher realms and several noble ladies were shocked, exchanging looks of disbelief.
“A reemergence of mythological origins!” Someone’s voice trembled with emotion.
Shi Hao was also shocked; he had the feeling that this place was no less than the Chaotic Land where the Willow Deity and Little Pagoda went to, and perhaps even more promising in terms of opportunity.
