Kairos parried him a few times, engaging in several quick exchanges. He purposely suppressed his own power, letting the shock of the blade collisions travel through his body, keenly assessing the strength of the projected Roger before him.

But after more than a dozen bouts, Kairos lost interest.

"A fake is still a fake. It just can't compare to the real thing," he muttered with disappointment.

The Roger in front of him only managed to reach the level of a low-tier Vice Admiral, and even that felt like a stretch. The phantom couldn't even use Haki—utterly weak and unimpressive.

"What a waste of time."

Kairos didn't hold back anymore.

With a single flash of his blade, Roger's body split cleanly in half and vanished into nothing.

"Kairos, how was that? Did Roger's image hold up?" Vivi walked over and asked with curiosity.

Kairos pinched his chin thoughtfully. "Acceptable. But his strength just didn't meet expectations."

Deep down, he knew even a well-made phantom couldn't replicate the true might of someone like Roger—unless they had real combat footage from his lifetime. Then An could project it with much more accuracy.

But only a few people, like Kairos himself, Garp, and a handful of others, still retained memories of Roger's true battles. And there was no way someone like Garp—the Navy's mad dog—would ever agree to help with something that could throw the world into chaos.

Just as Kairos was pondering the issue, An timidly raised her hand.

"Master Kairos, I think... I may have awakened a new ability. I'm not sure, but... would it be okay if I tried it?"

Kairos looked up, surprised. "A new ability? Just from absorbing those crystals?"

He hadn't expected her to evolve this quickly—it caught him off guard in a good way.

"Alright, show me."

An nodded, her eyes landing on Vivi.

"Why are you looking at me?" Vivi panicked, instinctively stepping back to hide behind a barrel.

"I think... I can project the phantom onto a living person," An explained. "I've never tested it. The idea just came to me during our spar."

Kairos's eyes lit up with excitement.

Projecting a phantom onto someone? If it worked, the possibilities would be endless.

With an evil grin, he turned to Vivi.

Vivi immediately backed away, clutching her head. "No, no, I'm not turning into some scruffy old pirate!"

Before she could escape, Kairos grabbed her by the collar.

"Come on now. Don't be shy."

"No! I refuse to become some hairy old man!"

Kairos gave An a silent nod. With a mischievous smirk, An raised her hand and activated her Devil Fruit ability, pointing at Vivi.

"Noooo—!" Vivi screamed as a burst of radiant light engulfed her body.

In the next instant, she had taken on Roger's form.

"AHHH!" Vivi shrieked before promptly passing out from shock.

Kairos leaned over and poked Roger—well, Vivi. The transformation was disturbingly accurate.

He grabbed "Roger's" hand and gently ran his fingers down the arm, noticing the texture of the skin and even the feel of the hair. A shiver ran down his spine.

"Damn... the realism is uncanny."

Curious, Kairos reached for the front of "Roger's" pants, expecting to find a male structure—only to discover that the feminine body still remained underneath.

"Huh. So it's just a visual projection?"

Despite the towering male form, Vivi's original female attributes were intact.

From the corner, Nami and Robin watched in horrified fascination.

"This fruit ability is terrifying," Nami whispered.

"Yeah... if An ever projected us as sea kings or giant bugs, I might just end it all," Robin added dryly.

Kairos gently patted Vivi's cheek, eventually waking her up.

When Vivi finally stumbled into the cabin and caught her reflection in the mirror, she let out an ear-piercing scream.

"MY FACE—MY FACE!"

The sound echoed across the ship, and even Kairos had to cover his ears.

Luckily, after some calming words and an explanation from An, Vivi finally agreed to help Kairos with his project.

There was no doubt—Vivi's strength rivaled that of a Navy Admiral. Having her portray Roger was the perfect choice.

"Nami, Robin, I'm counting on you for filming," Kairos called out.

The two women, who had been hiding behind the cabin door, stepped forward with camera equipment in hand.

"Leave it to us!" Nami grinned, forming an 'OK' with her fingers.

Robin adjusted her lens. "We'll make you look legendary."

Soon, the group set course for a nearby uninhabited island to begin the performance.

Vivi—still in Roger's form—concentrated her Armament Haki into her blade, but despite mimicking Roger's every move, she still struggled to emulate his emotions and presence. So Kairos, Nami, and the others started coaching her on Roger's personality and behavior.

Then the real battle began.

Even without Devil Fruit abilities, Vivi's base power was already at Admiral-level. Every move she made sent shockwaves through the air.

The duel between her and Kairos raged for four or five days straight—a nonstop spectacle of raw force, strategy, and elemental chaos.

Kairos used Thunder Stones to summon lightning from the sky.

Vivi countered with both Armament and Observation Haki, battling like a warrior king.

Finally, after 45 intense photo shoots and two full video recordings, it was done.

"God, I'm exhausted," Vivi gasped, slumping down against a rock wall.

Nami handed her a cup of water.

"Thanks for your hard work, Vivi. Honestly, you've got serious acting chops. You made a convincing Pirate King," Uta said, reviewing the footage on their camera monitor and applauding.

Vivi had returned to her original form by now. She smiled as she watched the replay of her battle with Kairos, nodding in satisfaction.
