Chapter 10: Chapter 9
[Now answering Question number 5]
[Each of the 4 Families has inherited atavistic traits which are individual to each Family. The Burgesses relate to Beast-men, the de Rios to Dwarves, the de Luna have both Elven and Draconic traits, and the de Velasques have direct Draconic ancestry from the Imperial Family. Technically, both the de Lunas and de Velasques could be considered Arch-Ducal Families due to their long-standing history in this World]
[However, due to the average life expectancy of humans in this world. There are no Arch-Ducal families to prevent competition for the Imperial Throne.]
"I beg your finest pardon, but what? Are there other species present? There definitely wasn't in the game, though?"

[Yes, I shall briefly mention Mareveil's World History; originally extortionately rich in Mana, this continent was led by the Empire of Mareveil. Producing the strongest human Mages and Sword Masters, they were able to compete with other continents. Defeating and creating vassal countries out of them due to the Information Network, other species married their Royalty in to develop friendly relations. A Trading Network was also established]
[This led to the Empire of Mareveil to become the World of Mareveil, and the Imperial Family expanded to become inter-species. The Dragons specifically took great interest in their hair and eye colour—the gold-loving stereotype]
[To clarify, the different species lived individually on other continents, but after being conquered or emigrating. Mareveil became the centre of this World.]
"Hang on, why do we not see them in the game then? This is a follow-up question, by the way."
[This system can explain no further due to the complexity of the situation.]
[Issuing the Quest; Investigate the Darkening]
"Okay, I see. Thank you."
"Let's move on then. What about 'Life Energy'?"

"Wait, that takes up two questions again? That's not a follow-up question, by the way, I'm just confused. I don't need the answer to be that complex, it's just a passing interest I can probably figure out myself."

"Oh dear, I feel bad now. No.69, I appreciate your making all this effort. You know that, right?"
[(¬_¬)]
[If you appreciate me, you'll do a survey at the end of this session and give me a glowing 5-star review]
[Won't you?]

"Mm, right. Of course. Definitely."
Delphina shifted uneasily on the sofa as she said this, angling herself back away from the screen as nonchalantly as possible. Her apple had remained assholishly uneaten till this point, so she proceeded to munch away till the core was exposed. Feeling slightly less unsettled, she waved her hand at the system panel.
"Please go ahead, I can read and eat at the same time. Thanks for the consideration, though."

[Life Energy is both matter and the energy force that moves matter. It flows through the body via a circuit system similar to Mana circuits, but differs in that everything has Life Energy circuits. Not everything has Mana circuits.]
[Life Energy can be divided into Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. There are also more complex subsidiaries and combinations of the different elements. Lightning or Ice are famous examples…]
Hearing this, Delphina wanted to roll her eyes into the back of her head. Instead, she nodded with a polite smile and began to drift into her own thoughts as the system continued to explain the situation in front of her.
"So Mareveil has basically become the Murim, 'Life Energy' is qi, both Espers and Martial artists can exist, it seems, because of this. Dantains don't exist, but circuits do. Adding in whatever 'The Heroes' or 'The Villains' are, aren't those just the Heavenly vs Demonic sects?"
"I should ask about that next, it seemed a pretty important part of History for this World."
A soft chiming noise interrupted her thoughts, and the sound of a flagstone being dragged followed shortly after.
"Sorry to interrupt No.69, but that'll do for now. Can I ask more questions after I find out what this is about?"
[Of course! Do not worry, I won't go anywhere!]
Turning her head towards the door, Delphina could see the B-8 look-alike sphere finally alighting on the stone floor. It slowly rolled towards her, before stopping short of her feet and extending its tiny limbs.
Gently grabbing the discarded apple core she'd left on the table, it deposited the core inside a small opening in its- what she could only guess as, chest cavity.
The Lord & Madam want to know if you'll be joining them for dinner today.
"Woah, well, aren't you the cutest?"
Please refrain from commenting on my stature, I am insecure about my orb.
With this comment, the automaton stood a little taller on its 'legs', as if somehow that made its stature bigger. Delphina had to take a deep breath and move on from this adorable display.
"When is dinner today?"
Approximately two hours from now. The whole family will be present. Please do not bring any weaponry.
Do you wish to be guided on time?
"Ah, sure sounds good. Thank you."
It is a pleasure, as always, young lady.
After this was said, the automaton tottered away to stand near the shifting flagstone and disappeared down the chute.
As Delphina waited for it to close fully, she turned back towards the screen, first looking at the floor where the B-8-esque bubble had come close to her.
"No, but seriously, how cute was that? Are all the automatons that adorable? They must come in different varieties, right?" As she whispered this to herself, she kicked her feet up and down. She was starting to develop cute aggression.

"No! Stop! That's not what I wanted to actually ask."
