Rias
After the battle with Riser, a mix of relief and fatigue washed over me. The victory had come at a cost—Issey, who had fought valiantly, had suddenly collapsed.
The medical team quickly attended to her, whisking her away to the facilities. The healer assured us that Issey's condition was nothing serious; she was merely exhausted from the intense fight.
Despite the healer's reassurances, I couldn't shake the concern from my mind.
I had hoped to celebrate our victory with Alex, but the urgency of attending to Issey and ensuring she was okay had delayed our meeting.
Now, as I walked toward the place where Alex was waiting, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
The victory was sweet, but it felt incomplete without being able to share the moment with him right away.
I don't why but Akeno was also with me.
"Why are you coming with me, Akeno," I asked her, I had a feeling I was not going to like her answer.
True to my worry, Akeno replied with a playful yet mischievous glint in her eyes, "Ara, ara, Buchou, I am going to meet my Alex-sama. As one of his mistresses, isn't it my duty to attend him whenever he needs me?"
"Mistress? When did that happen?" I asked, my irritation creeping into my voice. I wasn't sure if it was the stress of the day or something else entirely, but I found myself getting annoyed.
Akeno's smile widened, and she tilted her head in a way that made her look both innocent and provocative. "Oh, Buchou, It happened when he took me on a date and made a girl out of me. Alex has a way of charming everyone around him, and I suppose it's only natural for me to fall for him, just like how you did."
Her words did little to quell my annoyance. It seemed like there was a pattern forming: first Issey, then Sona, and now Akeno. I was aware of several others who seemed to fall under Alex's charm, and it wasn't helping my mood.
"What's more, it seems like there are many others who've found themselves enchanted by Alex," I thought, feeling a pang of frustration.
The only small solace was that Koneko didn't appear to be part of this growing list. At least for now, she seemed unaffected by Alex's allure, or perhaps she simply wasn't interested.
Just as I was about to reply to Akeno, a familiar voice called out to us.
"Rias," It was Sona, approaching us with a determined stride.
I was relieved to see her. As someone who had also fallen for Alex before me and one of my closest friends, I knew I needed to be honest with her about my feelings. I had already confided in Issey, who, oddly enough, seemed strangely enthusiastic about the idea, but Sona was different.
I worried that if I wasn't careful with my words, this conversation could jeopardize our friendship.
Akeno noticed my gaze shift to Sona and, sensing the seriousness of the moment, asked, "Should I leave, Buchou, for you to have a proper conversation with Sona-san?" Her voice was devoid of its usual playfulness, replaced instead with a tone of genuine respect and concern.
I looked at Akeno, appreciating her understanding. "No, Akeno, it's okay. I think Sona and I need to talk, but your presence is also important."
Akeno nodded and stepped aside, giving us space while staying close enough to offer support if needed.
Sona reached us and paused, her gaze shifting between Akeno and me. "I'm glad I found you, Rias. There's something we need to discuss."
I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. "Yes, Sona, there's something I need to talk to you about as well."
Sona's eyes narrowed slightly with curiosity and concern. "What is it?"
I hesitated for a moment, choosing my words carefully. "Sona, you know that Alex has been a significant part of my life lately. I've come to realize that I have deep feelings for him—feelings that go beyond just admiration. I thought it was important to be honest with you since you've been such a close friend to me."
Sona's expression softened, though a hint of surprise remained. "Rias, I appreciate your honesty. I had similar feelings for Alex before you, but I've come to terms with them."
She continue, "He also have multiple lover at this point, so I couldn't monopoly him even if I want to."
"If you're serious about him, then I want you to be happy. Our friendship is important to me, and I wouldn't want anything to come between us. Only thing I am worried about is, I only know one of his lover and I still haven't met the rest." Sona said.
Akeno at side also nodded to Sono's words.
"Actually, I have meet another one his lover." Rias said.
