Chapter 45: What do We About His Body?

When Mister Truce moved to grab the unconscious man away from the room, Anna turned back to look at him. She didn't know how she felt about him now, but every trace of respect dissipated from her voice. "What are you going to do with him?" accusation and exhaustion accompanied her voice, as she dragged her underwear on her body.

One look at Sam, Truce knew what a bad egg he was. Immediately, he searched his past and was surprised at the situation he once had with Anna, then he saw Kaelin in his memories. What was their connection and what were they planning? It looked like Kaelin hadn't threatened in vain. He had plans to hurt Anna, possibly to get to me. Even the unconscious crook had been planning to double cross Kaelin for money. If Truce had any time in the world to act, it was now.

Truce turned around, staring at her face. "I'll put him in a position where he won't hurt you ever again." He replied sincerely. Anna's voice rose in indignation. "And you? How would you put yourself into a position where you won't hurt me? Betrayer!" She fired back.

"Look, Anna, I need to tell you something," Truce began, with a repentant look in his eye, and Anna laughed hysterically, waiting for him to tell her what she didn't already know. Truce sighed.

"I found out, Nichole wasn't who I thought she was, okay? She… I was investigating about her origin, and there were many loop holes. I'm not done yet, but close. She might also have been involved in the kidnapping incident that happened after you left her party. That picture you saw, was the day she made her debut into the industry, 15 years ago. But before that, she was a wife of someone I used to know. Trust me, I have absolutely nothing to do with what you thought."

Anna was taken aback at his confession. Was she really someone with a dark past? Everyone loved her for her ideas in the fashion industry, she was the real gem. Anna didn't know what to believe. Truce knows Nichole Chen better. The picture of the ring flashed through her eyes. "What about the ring?"

When Anna asked him that question, she felt bad instantly because a sad look suddenly appeared and vanished almost as quickly from his face. Truce raised his head up, placed his hands akimbo and sighed deeply. Did it belong to his late wife? So that's why he didn't answer immediately like he would. Was he still grieving her? She felt a dull ache in her chest for him. she could finally see a side to his coldness, and pitied him. her eyes flickered to Sam on the floor and anger rose within her.

I hate him so much. "How hard did you hit him?" she asked, suddenly changing the topic. Truce raised an eyebrow as he turned to look at what she was staring at. The sorry ass-divided guy hadn't stood up yet. "How long have you known this guy?" Truce returned with a question.

Anna bumped into him three years ago, while running away from her loan sharks and he rescued her, like a knight in shining armor. Then he turned sour and so immature, she lost herself trying to please him. "Long enough to hate him. I never believed he would actually do something like this to me." She shook her head.

"So, what are you going to do about him?'

"What do you mean? He kidnapped me and made me unconscious, that's a serious crime."

"Anna, if you think this was a serious crime, what he's planning for the future is even more deadly. I can't let that happen."

Confused, "What are you talking about? How do you know…" She trailed off. If he can read minds, he can see the future or the past, right? "Of course, you can know that." She continued, "What's he planning to do?"

Truce didn't want to frighten her with who Anoma was, because he wanted her to believe he could protect her, "He was bargaining your price to some very dangerous people. Their scheduled time to meet is in an hour."

Fear gripped her. What if Mister Truce hadn't come? What would've become of my life? She felt awful now, thinking how she misjudged the one person in the world that was able to save her, literally as well. She made a mental note to apologize when this was over.

"So, what are you suggesting?"

He paused, "I say we frame a fire accident."

Her eyes widened, "A fire accident?" she yelled and Truce was at her side in an instant, "Listen," he said quietly. "If we do this right, his contractors are going to have a dead end at you. Think about that. If you died, they would lose immediate access to me. Or did you think random people wanted you dead because you were sick, or because you are now under my protection?"

He had explained to her in his office one night, and she was getting the hang of the details now. How were they going to make this work? "Okay, let's do it." Oh, what am I doing, murdering my kidnapper?

Anna the murder suspect, she could see the headlines in the news. The mystery girl who escaped a- "Wait, where are we? I'm guessing if this is his apartment in Brookline, we can't do it. He has neighbors and there's security outside."

"That's not a problem, we don't want traces, but we need evidences, that two people were in the fire," he said, looking at the time on his Rolex, they had 45 minutes left, he needed to act quick. His eyes returned to her body, realizing now she barely had any clothes on, except for her underwear. He forgot how to breathe. He turned backwards, and cleared his throat in an ungentlemanly way. She hid in those decent clothes every day; he didn't believe what his eyes were seeing. Now, he wanted to change her wardrobe again as he intends to feast on her with his eyes only.

Anna who was aware of his eyes on her, blushed deep red, she clumsily started wearing her clothes. He saw a broken glass on the floor and immediately, a light bulb brightened on top his head, and he turned around in the spur of his excitement. She was bent, her backside before him, and her red, lace underwear parted her backside into two equal halves, his knees wobbled, he almost lost his balance.

He said after a deep sigh. "Don't wear that, I have an idea." He forced his legs to step forward, and she turned around. "Huh?" she asked innocently, her floated in the air about her. His eyes went to her breasts, trapped in a matching red, lacy brazier. He forced his eyes back to hers, lost in them for moment. Sam stirred and murmured incoherent words to himself on the ground, slowly regaining his consciousness.

"Do you trust me?"
