"Good morning, team leader."

"Good morning, Senior Alice."

"Good morning, Little Alice..."

....

Early in the morning, amidst familiar greetings, Alice arrived at the headquarters of the Armed Society.

The little witch seemed somewhat listless today, her small face slumped, and the twin ponytails behind her head hung limply, lacking the usual bouncy cuteness.

This sight made the passing members of the Armed Society feel somewhat concerned, wondering what was wrong with their club's little mascot today.

They wanted to step forward and ask out of concern, but it wasn't just the team leader who wore a stern face today. The dozens of team members following her also had dark expressions, gritting their teeth, which created a very oppressive atmosphere. This discouraged the average club members from actually approaching.

However, the less ordinary members naturally had no reservations.

"Hey, Little Alice, what's up with you today? You seem to have no spirit at all."

A hand landed on Alice's head and then vigorously rubbed it, after which a hearty voice finally rang in her ear.

"Leave me alone, Senior Lena."

Alice didn't need to look back to know who was behind her. She twisted her head and then slapped away the hand on top of her head, glaring with wide eyes filled with embarrassed anger at the black-furred Big Cat Lady who had appeared beside her at some point.

She was already quite irritable due to a severe lack of sisterly energy and had been crazily working overtime for the past few days with little rest. Now, the little witch was like a powder keg ready to explode at any moment.

"Ah, this...."

Seeing the usually green eyes of this cute creature now a battle-ready bright red, even Lena, as the second-ranked in the Armed Society, didn't dare provoke this furious little witch. She sheepishly withdrew her hand and changed the subject.

"Don't be so agitated, Little Alice. By the way, the club president mentioned in the group chat today that a new Combat Magic instructor is coming. Wonder what kind of person they'll be. Hopefully, they're impressive."

"I don't know, and I don't care. I haven't had time to train these past few days, and any instructor is irrelevant to me. I still have people to catch when I get back."

Little Alice was not receptive to Black-Furred Senior's attempt to change the subject and spoke with an unusually irritable tone as if she had swallowed gunpowder.

"Uh, yesterday's Little Witch Daily did report that an incident occurred in your jurisdiction, something about a laboratory being blown up, right? Hasn't the culprit been found yet? Do you want me to help you out?"

Lena didn't mind Alice's offensive tone and casually recalled the events, quickly figuring out the reason behind their little mascot's explosive mood today.

The entire Witch Academy's rules and discipline are managed by Disciplinary Team Thirteen. The Witch Academy is structured as a circular city, with a series of concentric circles, apart from the central Tower of Shine. It is divided into thirteen rings, each managed by one of the Thirteenth Squads, with each squad overseeing one ring.

As the leader of the Thirteenth Squad, Little Alice was in charge of the largest area which was also the most chaotic outermost ring, resulting in an enormous workload.

After all, the locations of all major schools in the Witch Academy are allocated based on the school rankings; those ranked higher are positioned closer to the center. For instance, the Top Ten Famous Schools are all located within the Second Ring—so the quality of the schools situated in the Thirteenth Ring can only be imagined.

The Thirteen-Ring Zone either encompassed newly established schools or ones barely surviving on the brink of closure, and naturally, the quality of the students in these institutions was not something to look forward to; they either had poor abilities or problematic personalities.

As expected, in a place gathered with so many troubled students, one couldn't hope for any peace, as every day brought a heap of issues to handle.

However, considering the overall level of students there, despite being many issues, they were quite easy to manage, because they were all just Black Iron weaklings pecking at each other. They were no match for the Elite Thirteenth Squad formed by the stars of the Armed Society, so things typically resolved quite quickly.

Therefore, Lena was rather surprised that the case from the night before last had still not been resolved by this morning.

"I suspect I've run into an old hand at bombing fish, the sneak. Not a single trace left at the scene. The entire lab was thoroughly bombed. I was busy all day yesterday and got nothing."

Alice became increasingly irritable as she spoke about this.

Yesterday was her sister's opening ceremony, which she had planned to attend, but due to this mess, she was busy all day, ending with no results, which made her more and more furious as she thought about it.

She had also planned to continue staying on site today, but reluctantly, since the Club President had messaged that Thirteenth Squad must assemble at the Great Colosseum today for an important announcement, she had to abandon her current task and hastily lead her team there.

At this moment, Alice felt somewhat resentful of the Club President for the untimely summoning. With everyone at headquarters, what if the perpetrator who hadn't been caught made another move? How could their Thirteenth Squad ever hold their heads high before other squads?

"Alright, cheer up. Even if we overlook that new coach, isn't everything else okay? I heard the Club President has spent a fortune on hiring a celebrity chef as a nutritional consultant recently. Don't be upset. I'll treat you to your favorite roasted Sub-Dragon Wings at the cafeteria, how about that?"

The Black-Furred Cat Girl tried to console the little witch, inadvertently touching on a sore spot.

"Shove it."

Alice exploded, "Roasted Sub-Dragon Wings? Those who like them can have them. Liar, sister, promises are never kept."

Thinking of her sister who had forgotten about her little sister once she had a new favorite as president and still owed her a meal, the little witch's expression darkened further.

She had also read the Little Witch Daily these past days, and the headlines were full of how her elder sister fluttered around, charming others.

While she was slaving away through overtime, her sister was surrounded by a bevy of Fox Spirits, living the high life.

With these thoughts, the little witch's murderous intent was almost bursting forth, her aura swirling with crimson and her Magic Power boiling.

Lena: "...."

Okay, it seemed today's mascot was genuinely not to be trifled with.

She was about to flee, to let this explosively angry little witch cool down, but just as she neared the edge of the Great Colosseum, something caught her attention, and she quickly looked towards the direction of the Arena.

In fact, not just Lena, Alice and the other squad leaders who arrived around the same time all looked up toward the direction of the Arena.

"Damn, what is that thing?"

..... The Witches in shock...
