Orion and the Primordial System

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: New Universe, New Adventure

Orion and Lyra found themselves in an environment that transcended space-time. Around them, the stars seemed to dance in harmony, while colorful nebulae spun lazily in the void, as if they were living beings. They felt the ground beneath their feet, but when they looked down, they realized that there was nothing physical supporting them. They were in an intermediate point, between two grand worlds: the Mortal World of Etherion and the Divine World of Elysium.

Etherion was vast, with billions of planets interconnected by cosmic portals, each one sheltering a multitude of races and civilizations. Humans, elves, dragons, magical beasts, demons and celestial beings lived together, competed and waged wars for power. This world was a mixture of mythology and fantasy, where warrior cultivators ascended in search of immortality, always defying the limits of life and death.

Etherion was a realm where magic, cultivation, and technology coexisted in unique ways. Each race had its own path to supremacy, whether through the cultivation of the body, the soul, the sword, or the manipulation of the natural elements. In Etherion, breathable mountains floated in the sky, continents traveled across the oceans like great living ships, and in its depths, ancient dragons lay in deep slumber, waiting to be awakened by those worthy of their blessing.

The Primordial System explained to Orion that this was the battlefield for those who sought to ascend to the Divine World. To achieve true power, he would need to master the arts of cultivation and control over the cosmic forces that permeated this universe. Here, time was distorted, where the concept of millennia was but a blink of an eye to the great cultivators.

Eons ago, Etherion was formed by the fusion of several smaller worlds, collapsed during the Great Convergence, a cosmic event where the lines between realities were dissolved. In this event, ancient beings known as the Primevals merged their essence with the universe, creating Etherion as a world of infinite diversity and challenge. Ever since, cultivators and mythical races have striven to reach the pinnacle of existence, to break the limits of this world and attain godhood.

Beyond Etherion, above all mortal dimensions, lay the Divine World of Elysium, a realm that only the most powerful could dream of reaching. Elysium was an ethereal plane, composed of an endless network of floating islands, each home to a pantheon of Gods. Here, the Gods controlled not only the forces of nature, but also the fates of mortals and immortals alike.

Each island in Elysium was ruled by a supreme deity, with powers that transcended mortal comprehension. These Gods were beings forged not only from the power, but from the emotions and desires of the mortals of Etherion. Some were benevolent deities, helping their followers achieve enlightenment, while others ruled with an iron fist, demanding sacrifice and blind loyalty.

The gods of Elysium were not eternal; their thrones were often challenged by those who ascended from Etherion, aspiring to divine status. Many fell in epic wars, and new deities arose to fill the power vacuum. Legends spoke of a final battle, a cataclysmic event called "The End of Eternity," when the greatest of the gods, the God of Fate, would be challenged, and the cycle of creation and destruction would begin anew.

Elysium was created as a reflection of mortal ambition and glory. The gods were not born with the universe; they were forged from the souls of the greatest cultivators, who, upon breaking the bonds of mortality, became godlike entities. These gods created Elysium as a realm of perfect harmony, but they soon split into factions, fighting for supremacy. The war between the gods shaped not only Elysium, but also Etherion, for the battle of the gods resonated with all their mortal followers.

Between Etherion and Elysium there was a single point of connection: the Gate of Ascension, a cosmic portal located at the center of the universe, accessible only to those who had reached the pinnacle of cultivation. The Gate was protected by the Eternal Guardians, beings who had existed since the beginning of time and whose duty it was to ensure that only the worthy crossed over into the divine realm.

As Orion gazed at the worlds before him, he felt a surge of excitement.

"How about playing Gods, my dear?" Orion said with a mysterious smile as he watched the cosmic horizon unfold before him, like a painter before a blank canvas.

Lyra, beside him, let out a light laugh, her eyes shining with excitement. "Wow, so I'm going to be the biggest and coolest Goddess, my dear!" Her voice was brimming with enthusiasm, as if she were already imagining the endless possibilities for fun.

Orion casually snapped his fingers, and in the blink of an eye, they were both gone from that plane. When they reappeared, they were on a floating island in a remote corner of Elysium, far from the watchful eyes of the other gods and the ancient pantheons. The island was vast, with purple skies and a surreal landscape that defied logic. Giant flowers, whose petals reflected entire constellations, swayed gently in the wind, while floating mountains stood like silent guardians of the landscape.

"This will be our own domain," Orion said, spreading his arms in a grand gesture. "I will be the God of Creativity, Reality, and Desires," he declared proudly, his chest swelling with his words, as if he could already feel the immense power flowing through him. "Everything I imagine, everything I wish, will become reality. I will shape entire worlds with a thought."

He looked at Lyra, waiting for her answer. An enigmatic smile played on her lips, but there was a darkness hidden in her eyes, something beyond the apparent joy.

"I want to be the Goddess of Void and Destruction," she said, her voice soft as velvet, but filled with a malicious shadow that made the air around them vibrate. "Just imagine, my dear... the power to undo everything. The Void is what precedes creation, what remains when everything is gone. And Destruction? Well, it's the beginning of something new." She let out a low, sinister laugh that echoed across the island, causing the cosmic petals to wilt momentarily.

Orion smiled at that, his eyes shining with approval. "You've always been creative in your choices, Lyra."

She shrugged, still smiling. "Creativity and destruction go hand in hand, my dear. The creation of something new only happens when the old is wiped off the map. Let's see what we can do with this power."

As the two walked across the island, the skies above seemed to respond to their divine presence. Orion raised his hand, and with a simple gesture, the space around them distorted. Planets and stars appeared in the void, shaped by her will, each one in magnificent detail, entire kingdoms emerging from her creative mind. Golden cities rose, vast forests appeared, creatures of her imagination came to life.

Lyra, on the other hand, looked at Orion's creations with a calculating gaze. Then, with a simple wave of her hand, one of those cities collapsed silently, as if it had never existed. The space around her disappeared into an absolute vacuum, sucking up all matter and energy, leaving only infinite emptiness. "There is something so pure in destruction," she whispered to herself, her eyes shining with light.

Orion watched her, a mixture of fascination and wariness. He knew Lyra had always had a dark streak, but now, in this game as Goddess of Void and Destruction, that side of her seemed to be blossoming with an intensity he had never seen before.

"Well, my dear," he said, stepping closer, "it looks like we'll have plenty of worlds to play with. Let's see how far we can go before we attract the attention of the other gods."

"Bring it on," Lyra replied with a sharp smile, her eyes dark as the emptiness she now controlled. "I can't wait."

---

In a colossal castle, so vast that its structure seemed to stretch beyond the horizon, there were endless corridors adorned with luxurious and rare items. Some of these objects harked back to mythical antiquity, made of celestial gold and divine crystals, while others were of an advanced, almost futuristic technology, with shimmering metals and energy pulsing in their cores. Thousands of rooms, each more opulent than the last, spread throughout the castle. Chandeliers hung from the vaulted ceiling, made of ethereal glass, reflecting light from the distant stars that twinkled outside the large windows.

In the center of the main room, which looked like a hall fit for emperors, Orion relaxed on a huge 15-seater sofa, upholstered in ancient dragon skin and embroidered with divine silver threads. Lyra lay beside him, her head resting comfortably on his lap, her softly glowing eyes watching the giant floating 200-inch TV, where images of the events taking place in the mortal worlds were projected.

The screen showed vast landscapes of the underworlds, where epic battles between cultivators, immortal beasts and mystical armies took place. The mortal warriors, with their brilliant weapons and impressive techniques, strove to reach new heights of power. But to Orion and Lyra, it seemed like a simple game, where only the rules really interested them.

"The system of power in this universe is... intriguing, my dear," Lyra commented, her lips curving into a soft smile, as she watched the cultivators ascend through the stages with great difficulty.

Orion, his eyes sparkling, nodded slightly. He traced circles in the air with his fingers, summoning holograms that detailed the power structures of the universe before them. "Hmm... The cultivation system here is organized linearly. In the mortal worlds, it goes from E to RRR, where each rank contains ten sub-ranks, numbered from 0 to 10. In the divine world, the ranks are higher, starting from Demigods to the highest title of God Emperor, which is divided from 'Beginning' to 'Apex'."

He paused, watching the screen. Cultivators in the mortal world struggled to break the shackles of the E Realm, climbing the lower ranks with sweat and blood. The greatest warriors, however, were already treading the path of the R Realm, aspiring to ascend to the divine world. "Although it seems like a simple system, the subtlety lies in the hidden challenges at each level," Orion murmured, his eyes fixed on the events on the screen. "The barrier between mortals and gods is nearly insurmountable... but only for them."

"It's true," Lyra whispered, her fingers gently gliding over Orion's leg. "Although it may seem less complex in rank, the depth of Dao control in this world is fascinating. Even low-level cultivators have a tangible connection to the Dao... a connection that only deepens with advancement."

She paused, watching a particularly intense fight between two great cultivators, their energies colliding in ripples that distorted the space around them. "The balance of the multiverse exists for this reason. The Dao, even in this world, must be maintained in harmony. This is the thread that connects all universes, and it is why, despite the differences in systems, the power and control of the Dao always transcends classification."

Orion smiled at Lyra's words. "Indeed, the Dao does not change. It is absolute and permeates all things. Here, the rules are different, but in the end, everything returns to the same essence." He raised his hand, and with a snap of his fingers, a three-dimensional image of the multiverse appeared in the middle of the room, rotating gently. "And we, my dear, play with it as we please."

Lyra chuckled softly, her eyes shining with restrained malice. "Then let us play some more. Let us see how much we can defy these rules."

As the projection of the multiverse spun, Orion and Lyra continued to watch the events unfold on the mortal worlds, aware that their own influence, no matter how small, could change the course of history forever. The castle around them was a symbol of their absolute power, and the fate of countless worlds lay at the mercy of their will.
