Oops, I Accidentally Ascended to Godhood

Chapter 70: You're also tarnishing my master’s image

"Thank you," Ricky said, using a cloth to wipe his snot.

Tarkan was kind of surprised by Ricky.

It turned out he was crying because Tarkan and Slim had also paid for him to go to a higher world.

What really surprised Tarkan was finding out that Ricky was also an orphan, something he'd never bothered to ask about.

Ricky didn't look like someone who had lived on the streets.

He was from this world, one so low-level it hadn't even been given a tier yet.

Almost everybody in the world was just scraping to survive, let alone building an orphanage to feed the countless children living on the streets of Tharn.

And Tarkan could easily guess why so many kids were homeless.

A lot of families, especially women selling their bodies, were struggling to afford even one square meal, not to mention being able to afford an abortion.

"Hope you guys know I'm not as prideful as you two," Ricky said, now back to his usual self. "hope so you know I'm not repaying even a single cent to you guys."

Tarkan looked at the now-smiling Ricky, and shook his head.

After a day's worth of travel, Tarkan was back in the mansion. He immediately went into the dimension and extended his stay in the city, along with renewing his room for another 3 months. The total cost came up to 186,300 gold coins.

Tarkan, who once had a lot of money, now felt poor again. His fortune of hundreds of millions had gone down to a measly 12 million and 67 gold coins.

Tarkan couldn't help but release a sigh of frustration.

He felt so irritated because he knew he was going to need a lot more money if he wanted to live a comfortable life in a high tier world.

He teleported back to Tharn. Tarkan knew that for him to have an edge in the Second Dimension, he needed to gather as much information as possible. So he went to the books he had bought from the ogre and started reading through them one by one.

As Tarkan was learning new and shocking information about the second dimension

before long, three days had already passed.

On the second day, the trio had already prepared everything and were on their way to the association building, which took them a day to reach.

They arrived at the exact time they needed to.

They saw the same staff member from last time. But unlike before, this time he had a professional posture and seemed to be working on something on his screen.

"You came right in time. The other two are already here," the man said with a smile when he saw Tarkan and the rest.

He collected their IDs, and after moving his hand across the screen for a bit, he personally led them to an open field, where they saw a huge spacecraft waiting for them.

Tarkan couldn't hide his surprise.

"I thought we were going to be teleported," Tarkan said, unable to hold back his curiosity as he looked at the man leading them to the aircraft.

The man glanced at Tarkan with an amused expression.

"To teleport from this world to the one you're going to would cost you.." he paused, glanced at Ricky as if remembering the last scene, he moved a few steps away from him.

And continued, "It would cost you a huge sum of 100 billion gold coins."

Even Tarkan and Slim, who always wore undisturbed expressions, couldn't help but choke on their spit at hearing the amount.

Tarkan outright pushed the thought out of his mind, not daring to think about it.

What was the notion of a billion, let alone 100 billion?

Ricky, who was among the group, ignored the entire conversation and didn't show any reaction, which surprised both Slim and Tarkan.

seeing Ricky lack of reaction, the terra association officer was also relieved, but still kept his distance just in case.

It wasn't long before they got close to the spacecraft.

Upon entering, they found it spacious, it looked like it could comfortably hold thirty more people.

Inside, they saw two individuals around the same age as Tarkan and Ricky. One was male, the other female. They both looked refined, and their smooth skin made it obvious they came from wealth, that kind of appearance could only be maintained with money.

The pair glanced at the trio for a moment, then, as if losing interest, returned to what they were doing.

Tarkan and Slim looked at them briefly too, then also ignored them and found a place to sit down.

But unlike them, Ricky suddenly ran toward the pair.

"You're Victor and Victoria, right? I'm one of your huge fans! Do you mind if I take a selfie with you?" Ricky said, his usual loud voice echoing across the cabin.

"Yes, we do mind," the boy who Ricky had referred as Victor replied sharply, while the girl looked at Ricky with clear disgust.

"group of weirdos. Look one of them is even wearing a mask inside a ship. Who does that?" the girl said, her tone laced with disdain.

Ricky, looking disgruntled but still unwilling to give up, tried again.

"I can take the photo from afar if you don't want me to get too clo..."

"Ricky, come back," Tarkan interrupted before he could finish, unable to bear it any longer.

Ricky looked like he wanted to argue, but after seeing Tarkan's expression, he quickly shut his mouth and returned to his seat.

"Don't you have a sense of dignity?" Slim said the moment Ricky sat down.

Tarkan was surprised, he hadn't expected Slim to say something like that or even care about such a thing.

Ricky opened his mouth to speak.

But Slim cut him off immediately, not giving him the chance. "If you want to follow my master, then you have to learn how to keep and maintain your dignity," Slim said, his voice calm but cold.

"You're also tarnishing my master's image. And I would rather die than see that happen.

Do you understand what I'm telling you?" Slim said to Ricky with a chilly calm.
