"To think you awakened a similar talent to mine and lied about your talent to the Terra Association... you've got quite the guts for a lowborn," Cassian said casually as he got up from the fall, looking at Tarkan.
Tarkan's face was frozen in shock. How...?
That's when he remembered who must have given Cassian his information, the two-ranked officer who had flung Tarkan across the air to protect Cassian.
Seeing Tarkan's expression, Cassian laughed with all his might. "But don't worry, I won't rat you out."
"You would have to be alive for it to matter," he added, laughing again.
"No wonder you dared to act cocky in the Terra building, You awakened a good talent."
"But what a pity..." Cassian said making a sad expression.
"you could've had a great future, if only you had just been the nice little dog you are."
Tarkan had tried every possible tactic he could think of, but he couldn't even land a scratch on Cassian.
So this is how I'm going to end?
Tarkan couldn't help feeling sad.
He played out every possible scenario in his head of him beating Cassian, and all of them led to a success rate of minus 100 percent.
He could have tried running for his life, but who was he kidding?
Even the crowd Cassian brought to surround him wasn't to stop him from fleeing.
He was sure Cassian must have maxed out all three of his prime points. Outrunning him was nothing more than wishful thinking.
Cassian hadn't brought the crowd to interfere. He brought them to watch and humiliate Tarkan and feed his vanity before ending him.
Tarkan had thought of activating the mark on his wrist to teleport out of the realm.
But the mark had a rule, to activate it and leave, you had to spend at least six hours in the realm, which is about two hours in the outside world, given the time difference ratio of 3:1.
Which equals three days in the dimension equaled one day in the real world.
Even after the six-hour mark, he'd still have to remain still for one minute for it to activate and teleport him out.
Tarkan had struck at Cassian countless times, to which Cassian didn't even bother blocking anymore.
His fists landed squarely, but not even a grunt escaped Cassian's lips.
Cassian, in turn, grabbed Tarkan's hands, lifted him, and wipe him to the ground repeatedly.
Tarkan had already lost all hope.
The timer had only been denying the inevitable, so he stopped using it and embraced his death.
But just as suddenly, Cassian stopped.
Tarkan was already half-dead, his one's plain clothes now bloodied and tourn. Cassian walked to Tarkan, bent down, and did the unthinkable.
He brought out a weird glowing tube, forced Tarkan's mouth open, and poured the liquid into it.
Tarkans body began healing at a fast visible rate.
The people Cassian had brought to surround Tarkan had been watching the scene of Cassian trashing Tarkan around.
At first, they had mocking expressions. Then, faces filled with surprise to Tarkan's talent. Finally, pity, for the eventual waste of such potential.
"Isn't that a healing potion?" someone in the group asked.
"And not the cheap kind too," answered another.
"Didn't Cassian say he was going to kill him?"
"Maybe he did... maybe seeing the boy's talent, he decided to change his mind and recruit him instead."
But instead of what they imagined, once Tarkan was fully healed, Cassian grabbed him by the leg again, slamming him along all sides, then dropped him to the ground.
Stepping closer, Cassian put his foot on Tarkan's head, mashing it into the ground.
"That's where you belong, you filthy lowborn, For daring to humiliate me... I'll make you wish and beg me for the sweet release of death."
The onlookers surrounding them couldn't help but feel a chill run through their spines.
The whole ordeal was starting to make them feel uneasy and Uncomfortable.
One of them not able to bare it finally spoke.
"Cassian, I think he's understood your point. Can't you just kill him and let's move to the second realm? I..."
"Shut the fuck up!!" Cassian shouted, turning sharply to the one who spoke.
His eyes scanned the entire crowd, reading their judging expressions.
"Get out, you soft fucks, You weren't of any use here anyway."
"But Cassi.."
"Are you guys deaf? Get the fuck out of my sight! All of you! Or you won't like the consequences."
They all had something to say, but seeing the way Cassian was behaving, they didn't dare test the waters.
They each shot Tarkan one more glance, filled with pity, before they started departing, one after the other, until only Cassian and the manhandled Tarkan remained.
Tarkan's head was still pressed into the ground beneath Cassian's foot.
--
"So... where were we?" Cassian said, lifting his foot.
He bent down to Tarkan's level. Tarkan's shirt was bloodied, and he was gasping for air.
But Tarkan didn't give Cassian the satisfaction of hearing a scream. He gritted his teeth, refusing to utter a sound.
He knew whatever he did was futile, but he still wouldn't give Cassian the satisfaction.
"Ah," Cassian continued.
"As I was saying, I'll make death feel like mercy to you."
He laughed uncontrollably.
Then Cassian flung Tarkan again, like a ragged doll hurling him around, trying out different methods of torture.
He continued giving Tarkan potions just in the nick of time to keep him alive. And he seemed to be enjoying it.
It happened so many times that Tarkan lost count.
And then, as if something in his mind had broken
Tarkan started laughing, Like a madman.

"Hahahahahahahaha!"
"Yes, Yes! Laugh it out that's what despair tastes like."
"You stupid cunt... you could have just killed me," Tarkan said, looking half-dead.
He got up, one of his legs broken and mangled at an unnatural angle, bones broken in several places.
It was clearly the potions keeping him alive. A miracle, really, that he was still breathing.
With great effort, he began dragging his body toward Cassian.
A maniacal laugh stretched across his face.
Cassian didn't stop him.
Not because he was wary but because he just enjoyed the sight of Tarkan in despair.
His lips widened into a disturbingly chilling smile.
"But no... you had to feed your stupid ego."
Tarkan got closer, putting all his effort into it.
He raised his hand.
Cassian didn't bother to block it, allowing it to land.
"I promise you... if I mistakenly make it out of this ordeal alive.. I will make sure to erase every single being bearing the Virel family name from history."
"fuck you," Tarkan added in a low voice.
"Revert 2 minutes 62 seconds"
