Chapter 559: The New Faith
Schiller lingered in that vision of the future.
He was not in a hurry to return to a time when God still existed.
It was not because he was afraid; in fact, he was no longer afraid of anything.
In the past, Schiller was full of doubts and worries, always seeking excuses for his actions, all stemming from his fear of the future.
Why did he fear?
Because the future was unknown.
And the unknown often constitutes the greatest fear.
Back then, he feared that his actions would lead him to a point of no return.
But now, things were different; the future had revealed itself before him.
The vast Cloud Sea hanging high above the sky, the endless Spirit Envoys waiting for their trials, and the throne marked with "King of Kings."
The vision of the future became clear before his eyes.
Since the former self fell short of his wishes, then let it be as he wished.
Since the world beneath his feet was not as half as beautiful as he hoped, let him make it sufficiently beautiful.
He would, like a god, create a new world with his thoughts.
This is what it means to be god-like
And it is… the divine of a new era.
"Those, are all your people singing your praises."
The being on the throne pointed out a scene from the earth to him.
As He had said, all nations had converted to the same faith, and all people prostrated at his feet.
These Believers, their faith steered from the True Religion and carried a brand-new name—Giant King Sect.
The Scriptures they chanted cast aside most of the True Religion's scriptures, including the "Book of Thousand-Year-Old Prophets," "Xilan Chronicles," and so on, retaining only the most ancient "Book of Kings and Prophets" through to the "Second Prophet Book"—those three volumes of Holy Scripture.
Why were these three Holy Scriptures preserved? Because they recorded the authoritative source of the King of Kings ruling the world, which came from the great Creator, the God of the True Believers, the Father of the Gods.
In the scriptures of the Giant King Sect, following these three Holy Scriptures, are their own exclusive writings—scriptures that the True Religion does not recognize, nor do they need recognition from those dullards. In the eyes of those converted masses, those were the brand-new revelations! The true oracles!
Immediately following the three Holy Scriptures came the "Apocalypse Poems," containing thousands of prophecies and hymns, proclaiming to the world God's departure, the fall of the Angel King, and the succession of the god-like ones. This text is considered as the "hub of faith" in the Giant King Sect, succeeding the Lord's decline and the birth of the new King of Kings.
Following the "Apocalypse Poems" is "Prophets' Chronicles," also known as the "Book of Prophets," which contains the legendary stories of the earliest prophets who converted to the new King of Kings. They performed countless miracles, spoke in a thousand tongues, and were extraordinary, spreading the new faith around the world.
After the "Prophets' Chronicles" is the "Abyss Chronicles," short in length but highly esteemed within the faith, viewed as the third most important scripture. The "Abyss Chronicles" tells the story of Azhar, the Prophet of the new King of Kings, who had not performed any miracles. He spread His will upon the earth and ultimately entered into the Abyss.
Despite its brevity, it shocked with succinct words that carried profound meanings. It contained no preaching, proverbs, or persuasion, only plain statements. For this reason, it was praised as the ultimate guide to faith.
And Schiller, extended his hand to browse through the most supreme book within the sect—a text with extraordinary significance within the religion that could not be compared to all other scriptures combined.
Hence, in the complex doctrines of the Giant King Sect, a specific day was designated for regulations about this: that for the sake of life, all other scriptures may be abandoned, except for this book, which must be defended with blood.
This book is called the "Miracle Book."
It records the thousands of miracles manifested by God's successor—the King of Kings.
"To live… like God."
As soon as the scripture was opened, the first sentence was "To live like God."
Schiller read the text with a hunger and thirst, taking in every miracle recorded within it.
The recorded miracles, some grand, others trivial, some mundane, others intricate, some expected, others ridiculous...
They included "Watch Tree," "Sky-covering Cloud," "Winter Dew," "Leprosy Wind"...

After being wanted and hunted, Jon began a wandering life that was sometimes fed, sometimes starving.
Who would have thought that a nobleman's son, accustomed to horseback hunting, would one day roam raggedly through the forest, looking exactly like a wild boar.
He dared not enter cities, fearing interrogation by the Guards, and even when passing through small towns, he did not dare to lodge, only to buy some food or to seek alms. Since he had fled in a hurry, he had not taken any money with him and could only keep pawning personal belongings along the way.
Clothes with silver threads, shoes, trousers, necklaces, bracelets, and various other items were pawned within two or three months. Fearing that bargaining would reveal his identity, the money he received was scant. He was down to nothing in just three months, living a life exposed to the elements, his unkempt appearance resembling that of a beggar, with no trace of former wealth and glory to be found.
His elder brother, in collusion with the Temple's Priests, slandered him as a Rebel, but the reality? He had never acquired the power to walk the Divine Path, nor had he been granted any grace by the Divine.
Yet he was still deemed a Rebel. He remembered that the condemnation letter was written thus:
