One Piece: Wielder of the Void

Chapter 227: 227. Delay

"Abona, the Marine Headquarters hasn't disclosed which admiral was dispatched to the South Blue. You should accompany Daiki to investigate. No matter what methods they use, ensure they cannot enter Crimea for at least two days. The handover between our nations is ongoing, and I want no unnecessary complications."

Anos did not respond directly to Fujitora's words but turned his attention to Abona, who was seated beside him.

"What if tensions escalate between both parties?"

"What else can we do?" Abona replied calmly. "Relay Daiki's position through the Den Den Mushi and dispatch two steel battleships as reinforcement. A show of force is necessary to deter interference with the Tru Empire at this crucial moment."

After hearing Abona's response, Anos smirked slightly and said, "Understood. Proceed immediately!"

Abona nodded, rose without hesitation, and headed toward the perimeter.

At this point, the Tru Empire had a clear grasp of everything happening in the South Blue. From the moment the Marines sent an admiral to the region, their presence could not be concealed.

The Tru Empire had already gathered intelligence on the admiral's movements, the size of their fleet, and their crew strength. Such information was no longer a mystery to them.

After Abona departed, Anos leisurely picked up a fruit, took a bite, and turned to Fujitora. "General Fujitora, what if I told you I've eaten two Devil Fruits and wielded two powers? Would you believe it?"

Anos didn't wait for Fujitora's reply, already aware of the question forming in his mind.

Fujitora had likely been wondering how Anos had managed to break CP's illusions during their last battle and instantly counter their attacks.

"So it's true after all," Fujitora muttered. He had suspected as much but dismissed it as impossible since it was common knowledge that no one could eat two Devil Fruits and survive.

Even now, Anos's claim sounded unbelievable, yet given all the extraordinary feats the king of the Tru Empire had accomplished, it no longer seemed so far-fetched.

"The Kingdom of Crimea has submitted a merger proposal to join the Tru Empire. What should our next course of action be? Crimea shares a border with us and has a vast territory. If we accept this proposal, the Tru Empire would control nearly a third of the South Blue. However, managing such a large area will require significant resources," Fujitora pointed out, skillfully shifting the topic.

"This has been accounted for," Anos said confidently. "Crimea's population may be sparse, but its plains are ideal for agriculture. We will transform it into a food production base, ensuring a stable grain supply for the empire. Mechanized farming has already been introduced, making it our future granary."

"I see. It's a wise move," Fujitora acknowledged. "There isn't much else pressing in the Tru Empire at the moment. In two months, I plan to visit Skypiea to train the soldiers further."

Anos nodded. "That's fine. However, I need you to complete an additional task. There's a Devil Fruit on Skypiea a Logia-class Rumble-Rumble Fruit. When you find it, give it to Enel and assist him in honing his abilities. In two years, I want to see someone capable of challenging the world itself."

Anos's smirk deepened as he spoke. While he had avoided altering many of the Pirate World's established rules, he felt the Rumble-Rumble Fruit's connection to Enel was undeniable.

Enel's potential, coupled with this powerful fruit, could shape the future.

"I'll ensure it's done," Fujitora said with a smile. "I suspected you've been deliberately refining Enel's character and skills. It seems the time has come for him to step into his role."

Over the next two months, five nations surrounding the Tru Empire had merged into its territory. In an astonishingly short period, the Tru Empire's landmass quadrupled, making it the largest power in the South Blue.

The decision to obstruct the Marine admiral's advance was strategic and intended to prevent interference in Crimea, which was still technically a World Government member.

The Marines had hoped to use Crimea to curb the Tru Empire's expansion. However, they hadn't anticipated the Tru Empire's swift resolution of the internal civil war within a month.

This outcome wasn't surprising. The living standards offered by the Tru Empire had long been envied by neighbouring nations.

Joining the Tru Empire meant access to safety, prosperity, and a life free of pirates and famine a dream for both ordinary citizens and soldiers seeking stability.

The Kingdom of Crimea, though stronger than its neighbours, had suffered from years of exploitation. The Tru Empire had systematically dismantled the corrupt elite, while weapons and resources provided by the empire empowered the people's resistance.

Reporters from the empire's newspapers documented these events, not only showcasing the lives of liberated citizens but also recording evidence of Crimea's collapse under its own corruption.

This narrative ensured that the Tru Empire would not be blamed for inciting rebellion, painting them instead as liberators.

In the end, no one could deny the allure of a better life. United under the Tru Empire's banner, ordinary people who had once struggled to survive were now lighting a brighter future for themselves and the world.
