The crystal ball continued to display a grim scene—Fish-Man Island on the verge of destruction.
"How is this possible?! Didn't Admiral White Dove already destroy Noah's Ark? Why is Fish-Man Island still fated for ruin?!"
Madam Shyarly, the proprietor of the Mermaid Café and renowned fortune teller of Fish-Man Island, was in turmoil. Known for her prophecies that boast an unnerving 100% accuracy, she couldn't shake off the ominous feeling looming over her.
Unable to ignore it, she used her crystal ball to divine the island's fate once more. To her horror, she saw Fish-Man Island being destroyed, just as she had seen before.
When Noah's Ark had risen, she believed it to be the harbinger of doom. However, the intervention of Admiral White Dove, Roja, had alleviated that crisis, giving her a moment's relief. Yet, her vision of devastation persisted, plunging her heart into despair.
"I must inform King Neptune immediately!" Shyarly resolved, leaving the Mermaid Café in haste, swimming towards the royal palace.
At that moment, King Neptune approached Roja, who was descending gracefully from the sky after disbanding the Haki and powers of the Phantom Fruit.
"Admiral White Dove, we are forever in your debt," Neptune said earnestly. "Not only did you save Shirahoshi, but you also protected our entire island."
Turning toward his daughter, Neptune's expression softened. "Shirahoshi, what do you think of Admiral White Dove? Do you… like him?"
Shirahoshi froze at her father's question, her delicate face quickly turning as red as coral.
Although she had only recently escaped the confines of the Hard-Shell Tower, Shirahoshi harbored deep feelings of gratitude—and admiration—for Roja, the one who freed her from years of isolation and fear.
Bashfully, she lowered her gaze. "I… I like Admiral Roja very much…"
Neptune smiled at her timid response and turned back to Roja. "Admiral White Dove, your deeds are unparalleled, and no reward could ever match the gratitude we feel. However…" He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "What if we formalized an engagement between you and Shirahoshi?"
The words shocked the royal guards, as well as Shirahoshi's brothers, Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi. Even Ain, Roja's loyal student, appeared visibly stunned.
For some reason, Ain felt a pang of jealousy. Her emotions, normally well-controlled, surged uncharacteristically.
"Your Majesty, while Princess Shirahoshi is indeed as beautiful as legend says…" Ain began but hesitated, unsure how to phrase her thoughts. "Her size…"
Neptune chuckled, unfazed by the observation. "There's no need for concern. Once a mermaid reaches adulthood, she can adjust her size at will, and her tail can split into legs if she chooses to live on land. Furthermore, if a mermaid and a human have children, the offspring are fully human—though notably skilled in water."
Ain fell silent, unable to argue further, though her unease lingered.
Roja, meanwhile, listened to Neptune's proposal with a faint smile, slightly amused at the situation. Sensing Shirahoshi's hopeful gaze, Roja finally spoke.
"Your Majesty, I appreciate your kindness, but Shirahoshi has only just escaped from her confinement. Wouldn't it be too soon to decide such matters?"
"No! I don't think it's too soon at all!" Shirahoshi blurted out, her face flushed as she anxiously looked at Roja.
Her earnest response caught everyone off guard, prompting a wave of laughter from those around them. Shirahoshi, realizing how bold she had been, hid her face shyly, resembling a startled ostrich.
Neptune roared with laughter. "Hahaha! Admiral White Dove, it seems Shirahoshi is quite eager! Why not just agree?"
Before Roja could respond, Madam Shyarly burst onto the scene.
"Your Majesty!" she called out urgently, swimming up to Neptune. "Something terrible is about to happen!"
Neptune's face darkened at her words.
Shyarly's reputation as an infallible seer left no room for doubt. "What is it, Shyarly? Speak!"
Taking a deep breath, she explained, "I foresaw Fish-Man Island's destruction again. I thought the crisis was tied to Noah's Ark, but now that it has been destroyed, the vision hasn't changed!"
Neptune's heart sank further. "Do you know when it will happen?"
"I cannot predict the exact moment," Shyarly admitted, "but it will be soon—within minutes."
Before Neptune could process her words, Roja suddenly activated his supreme Observation Haki, peering into the immediate future.
What he saw made his blood run cold.
A gargantuan Sea King, over 10,000 meters long, loomed near Fish-Man Island. Its movements threatened to rupture the bubble shielding the island.
Lowering his Haki, Roja's face was pale as he murmured, "A leviathan-class Sea King… It's enormous. The bubble barrier won't withstand it."
Hearing this, Neptune's pupils constricted. The assembled crowd froze, the gravity of the situation dawning on them.
"Admiral White Dove," Neptune implored, "what can be done? Can you save us again?"
Roja's sharp gaze turned toward the waves outside the bubble, where the shadow of the massive creature began to surface.
