Chapter 32: 32. Iron Fist
The Navy Flagship.
"Garp!"
Black Vulture's face twisted in terror as he bit out the name.
This operation was supposed to be a simple raid to kill and seize ships. Apart from the one ship Mossy was guarding, all the other Marine ships had fallen under his control.
He had even personally beheaded a captain.
But who would have thought that Garp would appear out of nowhere?
He had, of course, heard of Garp, the Navy Hero who instilled fear across the seas!
Yet, since escape was now impossible, he decided he would see for himself the extent of Garp's power.
"Black Vulture, is it? Too many have died today. Surrender now."
Garp's voice boomed as he walked forward, unfazed by the countless blades and swords of the pirates.
One pirate, unable to bear the tension, charged at Garp with his sword.
In the next moment, the pirate vanished.
No one even saw Garp move; all they noticed was a slight flutter of his cloak.
"Attack!" Black Vulture narrowed his eyes, drawing his long sword and shouting.
In an instant, Garp's form vanished again, reappearing directly in front of Black Vulture, his large, darkened fist clenched tight as he punched toward Black Vulture's face.
"Iron Fist!"
Clang!
At the last second, Black Vulture's blade, coated in Armament Haki, blocked the powerful punch.
But it felt as if a mountain had crashed into him.
His Haki-infused sword shattered instantly, and Garp's punch struck his left cheek, hurling him from the deck to the ship's bottom.
Cracks spread out from the hole in the deck, shaking the pirates, who stumbled and fell.
But Garp's assault did not end there.
He threw another punch straight down into the hole.
A thunderous boom sounded, sending a powerful shockwave outwards.
Even the sea below parted from the force of his punch.
The deck split, creating massive cracks spanning hundreds of meters.
The flagship that had withstood countless cannon blasts was split in two by a single punch.
Seeing this, the pirates' expressions shifted from shock to sheer terror.
"That… that's the power of the Navy Hero, Garp!"
A pirate trembled, voice shaking, and everyone stared at the imposing figure with his back to them.
Those who had initially raised their blades now felt utterly defeated.
That figure seemed as unmovable as the Red Line itself.
The sheer pressure made it hard for anyone to breathe.
Perhaps because Garp had said that enough people had died, he stopped his attack, leaving Black Vulture alive.
But his skull was crushed, and his chest caved in deeply.
With a bounty of 290 million berries, Black Vulture was defeated in just two punches.
At that moment, several figures suddenly appeared on the wrecked ship!
Garp's eyes narrowed as he clenched his fist, ready to strike again.
"Wait!"
Martin, who had just arrived, quickly called out.
But the gust from Garp's fist forced him to take two steps back.
Clang!
A crescent-shaped slash blocked the Iron Fist.
But the person behind the slash spat out blood, sent flying backward.
"Wahahaha, I got a little carried away. The kid isn't dead, is he?"
Garp laughed heartily, realizing the person in front of him was wearing a Marine uniform.
Everyone turned to look at the person who had been flung backward, holding their breath in worry.
…

As the system's voice echoed, Marsh slowly opened his eyes, feeling groggy.
But in the next moment, intense pain in his chest made him gasp.
He suddenly remembered being struck by Garp's Iron Fist.
Although he had blocked it, the shockwave from the punch had knocked him unconscious.
Is this the strength of the world's top fighters?
He couldn't even handle a single punch.
"You're finally awake!"
A voice called out.
Marsh turned his head to see Smoker.
"Yeah…" Marsh tried to sit up, but the pain in his chest made him lie back down.
"Don't move. You took a direct hit from Vice Admiral Garp. The ensign and I thought you wouldn't make it." Smoker said. "But Vice Admiral Garp said he had held back, so he was sure you'd be fine."
...And that was holding back?
If he had used his full strength, would he have been completely destroyed?
"You're strong. Not like me." Seeing Marsh fall silent, Smoker looked downcast. "I couldn't even lift a sword."
He then raised his hand.
Marsh looked closely and saw that Smoker's hand shifted between smoke and solid form.
Could it be that Smoker had just eaten the Smoke-Smoke Fruit and couldn't yet control his logia transformation?
