Chapter 729: Chapter 613 Finding the Mouse

Grand Line, Century City.

"Senior official, there's a situation!"

Rob Lucci hung up the phone with a serious expression and leaned closer to Zero's ear, whispering a few words.

"What?!!"

Like Sengoku, upon learning of Kuma's betrayal, Bald Zero immediately thought of the Gorōsei (Five Elder Stars) and their likely reaction.

"Asshole!!"

As the prototype for the Pacifista, if he was a traitor, then how much confidential information had leaked out during this time?!

Moreover, because he willingly underwent human modification, the Gorōsei had always trusted Kuma and assigned him numerous important missions.

The worse his reputation among pirates, the more at ease the Gorōsei would feel using him.

But now, he turned out to be a traitor!

"Is there any way to rush over for support?"

Zero quickly asked.

"No, it's too far!"

Lucci shook his head with a bitter smile: "Even if Admiral Kizaru and Vice Admiral Momonga wanted to travel between Century City and the G-10 branch, it would take half a day. At our speed, by the time we get there, the situation will probably be settled."

Lucci was speaking the truth; even with aircraft crossing the sky, covering such a long distance was not easy.

"What happened?"

Fujitora came down from the second floor, holding a twenty-centimeter-thick bill. Sensing the strange atmosphere in the air, he asked.

"Nothing, just a small matter."

Zero looked at Fujitora with a scrutinizing gaze, feeling a sudden strong aversion towards these hypocritical Shichibukai.

"Oh, I see."

Fujitora replied calmly and then pointed at the bill.

"All the information you requested is in here."

"Please rest assured, my business has a partnership with Marine Headquarters, and there is absolutely no concealment."

After saying this, Fujitora turned to leave, using his sword as a cane. "Well, I have things to attend to, so I won't disturb you all."

Watching Fujitora leave, Zero suddenly slammed his fist down on the documents.

"These Bastards!"

"I should have thought of it. Since such a big event has occurred, they would definitely be prepared to go all out!"

They had summoned Kuma to Century City for inquiries, but they hadn't prepared a countermeasure for the possibility of him going all out. This was undoubtedly a serious dereliction of duty by CP0!

"Then… what do we do now?"

Lucci frowned at the thick stack of bills and said doubtfully, "Why would Kuma, as a Shichibukai, go to save a group of pirates?"

They had just uncovered information suggesting that Kuma was involved with the Revolutionary Army, yet now he was risking everything to rescue a few minor pirates? These two matters seemed unrelated!

"Don't worry about them!"

Bald Zero thought for a moment and said, "Don't forget our mission. The other party is only confirmed as a traitor now, and it has no relation to our current mission."

"Let's speed up and find irrefutable evidence of Kuma's connection with the Revolutionary Army."

At this point, they must find evidence to redeem CP0.

Even if… that evidence is not genuine!

In response, Lucci nodded seriously.

"I understand."

In a situation where suspicions already existed, piling on charges could easily create further issues.

---

G-10 Branch, on the playground.

Bang!

Sparks flew as Dante's feet dug into the hard stone slab, leaving a deep trench several meters long before finally coming to a stop.

"Not bad, let's go again!"

With a sinister grin, Dante charged forward, sword in hand.

Kuma, however, remained expressionless, his palm gesturing forward.

Shuā!

An invisible shockwave suddenly swept over, pausing for half a second before a terrifying air cannonball erupted, engulfing a wide area of over a hundred meters and sending Dante flying once more.

"Stop it, Rear Admiral Dante. Without Law's support, you're simply no match for me."

Kuma said slowly with a clear voice, glancing into the distance.

At this moment, Luffy and Law were evenly matched, but the effects of Law's Operation-Operation Fruit and its ROOM space, which ignored distance, put Luffy in constant danger. He had narrowly avoided being struck by Law's Kikoku multiple times.

Nevertheless, he stubbornly blocked Law, preventing him from returning to the battlefield to support Dante.

Having said that, Kuma raised his head and looked at Rowen, who had been calmly observing from the top of the mast.

Vice Admiral Soryu, you should be very clear, right? Currently, the only one in this base who can stop me is you alone."

Since the relationship had already soured, Kuma decided to maximize his interests.

If Soryu entered the fight, he would risk his life to ensure the Straw Hats and his Revolutionary Army companions escaped.

Rowen's thunder curtain was not as impenetrable as the Birdcage; as long as the power at a point was strong enough, breaking through for a short time would not be a problem.

But Soryu remained an observer, putting immense pressure on Kuma.

If Soryu acted and knocked Luffy and the others away, they would have enough time to intercept him halfway.

The speed of the Goro Goro no Mi (Thunder Thunder Fruit) was beyond question; no one in the world had the qualifications to doubt it!

In response, Rowen glanced at him and called out.

"Ain, where are you now?"

"Just finished a battle… What's up?"

On the second floor of the fortress, Ain looked down at the bewildered childlike versions of Sanji and Nami sitting on the ground, responding.

"Come and help Dante stop Kuma; I'm going to conduct a thorough search of the fortress."

As perceptive as Ain was, she sensed something was amiss and slightly frowned: "Could there be more enemies hiding?"

"It's likely… Be careful of Kuma's palm; he'll probably look for a chance to blink and knock the Straw Hats away. Don't give him time to act."

"Understood."

Ain nodded seriously, hesitated for a moment, and then picked up Sanji and Nami, one in each hand.

"Where are you taking us?"

Nami's face was filled with despair; only those who had personally faced Soryu's meticulousness knew how terrifying it truly was… Even though she was indecisive and unsure of what decisions she would make, the other party was already prepared for her potential betrayal.

The ability of the Modo Modo no Mi (Return-Return Fruit) user was truly unsolvable. Sanji, who adhered to chivalry and refused to harm women, didn't last long before being taken down, and her pretended approach to save Sanji was seen through, resulting in her being captured.

"You've really disappointed me, Nami…"

Ain didn't respond, looking at the vaguely familiar face and shaking her head: "Koby trusts you so much. Just a few days ago, he called to ask how you were doing."

"And the result…"

Looking at Nami's dim eyes, Ain gave up on blaming her and said, "So before everything ends, I need you to behave and not cause us any trouble."

Since the prison couldn't hold them, the only option was to send someone to personally act as warden.

And Ain knew there was another capable expert in the base who could handle this.

---

"Now, moving on…"

While waiting for Ain to return to the frontline to help Dante contain Kuma, Rowen stepped forward from the mast and the next second appeared inside the fortress.

Thunder God Seal!

Heavenly Network!

Bang!

Brilliant electric currents erupted and exploded, Rowen's eyes turned as blue as the sea, and his perception was spread to the maximum, gradually radiating out along the fortress's networks.

Many knew that while Rowen's Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) had an astonishing coverage area, it could not penetrate the thick, solid walls and soil to detect what was inside, especially in those closed spaces where his presence made no difference.

This obvious weakness was a common flaw in Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) and could easily be targeted elsewhere… but in G-10, his home base, this weakness was no longer a disadvantage.

From the beginning of its construction, there had been a location fixed to assist Rowen in opening the Heart Network; as long as he released his Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) there, he could cover everything along the fortress's networks, except for a few underground spaces.

This place was playfully referred to by Rowen as the "Ceiling."

Because it was located at the center of the fortress, reaching the deepest part of the Super Electromagnetic Cannon installation, looking up felt like peering down a well, surrounded by walls of metal reaching to the heavens.

"Port… clear."

"Fortress main body… clear."

"Rear warehouse… also clear."

Like a precise radar, Rowen scanned the entire base using a process of elimination, inspecting each area.

Suddenly, Rowen slightly furrowed his brow and stopped his movements.

"Could it be him?!!"
