ONE PIECE: THE GREAT VOYAGE

Chapter 39: CHAPTER 39

"It's the Navy!"

The voice was tense. It wasn't just one ship—an entire fleet was closing in.

The scale was much larger than the last encounter.

"What's so scary about the Navy…"

A pirate muttered dismissively.

"Compared to last time, there's one more top powerhouse."

At first, most of the pirates didn't take the warning seriously. But when I heard it, a chill ran down my spine.

On the other side, Vice Admiral Garp, holding a telescope, had already spotted the infamous Rocks Pirates.

"Found it."

The naval fleet steadily advanced, drawing closer. Cannons were being prepared—battle was inevitable.

Standing on the deck, Rocks D. Xebec himself spotted both Sengoku and Garp. His mouth twisted into an arrogant, wicked grin.

Behind him stood three fearsome figures—Edward Newgate, Shiki the Golden Lion, and Charlotte Linlin. Each one emanated an overwhelming aura of power.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

From behind four Vice Admirals, a shadowy figure emerged.

Caesar's pupils contracted. This power—was this what a Marine Admiral was capable of?

---

[55] Fight!

Whitebeard raised an eyebrow slightly, while Big Mom's expression remained cold.

"An Admiral?"

The Golden Lion laughed arrogantly.

"Jihahaha! You actually sent an Admiral—seems you're taking us seriously."

Suddenly, the Admiral extended his hand. Blood-red flowers blossomed from his fingertips, their petals curling wickedly.

A pungent stench, like rotting flesh, filled the air. Pirates began gagging, covering their noses.

"Ugh! What is that smell?!"

A wave of nausea swept over the deck. A few unfortunate pirates collapsed, twitching in agony.

"Be careful—that smell is poisonous," the Golden Lion warned, narrowing his eyes.

Caesar scanned the Admiral's ability. The blood-red petals and that grotesque odor—he had seen this before.

"Don't touch the flowers, and don't inhale the pollen!" he barked.

Brad, a pirate nearby, shuddered.

"Those flowers… they look like beast fangs."

The realization struck Caesar like lightning.

"Giant Konjac… also known as Carrion Flower."

The flower was infamous—releasing a constant scent of decay and having stamen resembling sharp fangs. But no Devil Fruit he knew of produced such a terrifying plant.

As fear settled in, Rocks D. Xebec sneered.

"It's you, huh? Long time no see—haven't you died of old age yet?"

The cigar-smoking Admiral exhaled a cloud of smoke.

"Mad pirate… go to hell."

With that, the Admiral lunged forward.

BOOM!

Rocks hardened his body with Armament Haki and met the strike head-on. But the Admiral's head morphed into a colossal corpse flower, its fanged petals dripping with venom.

ROAR!

A barrage of white spikes erupted from the flower.

Rocks dodged effortlessly—but the pirates behind him weren't so lucky. Screams filled the air as the deadly spikes impaled them, their bodies dissolving into pools of blood.

---

The Golden Lion floated above a warship, sneering as he raised a hand.

The entire warship levitated into the sky, tilting dangerously.

"Ahh! The ship's going to fall!"

Panic spread among the Marines.

Garp furrowed his brow, grabbed a cannonball, and hurled it with terrifying force.

WHOOOSH!

The shell exploded mid-air, sending the warship crashing back into the sea.

The Rocks Pirates seized the chaos, charging toward the disoriented Marines.

After the smoke cleared, the Golden Lion remained unscathed—but his face twisted with fury.

"Damn you, Garp!"

---

With a resounding hum, Sengoku transformed into his Buddha form.

A massive golden figure gleamed under the sunlight, so radiant it blinded the pirates.

CRUNCH.

The Buddha's arm moved, delivering a strike as heavy as a mountain.

CLANG!

Whitebeard's naginata blocked the blow. The collision of Armament Haki sent shockwaves rippling through the sea, splintering the air and shaking both fleets.

CRACK… CRACK…

The sea churned violently as fissures spread outward. Pirates and Marines alike were tossed into the ocean like scattered marbles.

Whitebeard raised his head, his gaze meeting Sengoku's fierce eyes.

"Edward Newgate," the Buddha growled, "Stand down."

Whitebeard's lips curled into a wide grin.

"Kuhahahaha! Sengoku—you're still talking too much. If you want me, you'd better fight for it!"

Their clash intensified, purple lightning crackling between them as their Haki collided. Hurricanes of raw power whipped around them, uprooting everything nearby.

---

[56] The Way the Strong Talk!

On a separate warship, Big Mom landed with a thunderous crash.

"It's Charlotte Linlin!"

"Fire! Don't let her board!"

Gunfire erupted as Marines tried to stop her advance.

"Out of my way!" she shrieked.

With a single swing of her massive cutlass, she shredded the incoming shells. The resulting explosion filled the sky with black smoke.

CLANG!

Zefa, the "Black Arm," intercepted her with a punch, his left arm hardened with Armament Haki.

BOOM!

Big Mom's pupils contracted as she retreated, her expression twisted with rage.

"I'm gonna tear you apart!"

The two titans clashed relentlessly, their strikes shaking the very air.

Nearby, Caesar spotted another figure—Vice Admiral Tsuru. The Fleet's strategist had arrived.

The battle between the Rocks Pirates and the Navy had truly begun.
