Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Poisonous

"Eight Inner Gates — Third Gate, Gate of Life — Open!"

As Qin Chuan whispered these words, his entire body flushed red with blood, further enhancing his speed and strength.

Seeing Qin Chuan's body begin to change, Hannibal swallowed hard, gripping his trident tightly, ready for the brutal fight that was about to unfold.

"Game over… Hidden Lotus!!" Qin Chuan roared!

In the very next instant, Hannibal saw a flash of something mysterious sweep past his eyes, and before he could even react, Qin Chuan's fist smashed upward into his chin.

Immediately after, Hannibal shot skyward like a rocket, his face grotesquely twisted by the blow.

But it wasn't over yet. As Hannibal flew into the air, Qin Chuan pushed off with both legs, propelling himself upward like a spring-loaded cannon.

As he reached Hannibal in midair, Qin Chuan raised his right leg and stomped downward with all his strength!

BOOM!

With that lightning-fast blow, Hannibal was driven straight into the ground!

The floor cracked violently, spreading fractures outward from the point of impact with Hannibal at the center!

Ding! Congratulations, Host, for successfully defeating your enemy. You have received 15,000 Fame Points.

Hearing the system notification, Qin Chuan knew that Hannibal was finished.

Watching this unfold on the surveillance monitors, Magellan let out a long sigh. He slowly stood up, straightened his black suit, and calmly walked out of his office.

With Hannibal defeated, the guards of Level Three completely collapsed.

Many of them were beaten to death by the frenzied prisoners.

But at the same time, corpses of prisoners also littered the long corridors of the prison.

Fueled like drugged maniacs, the rest of the prisoners charged wildly toward Level Four of Impel Down!

Level Four — Blazing Hell was the most crucial part of the entire Impel Down prison. Not only was Magellan's office located here, but also the kitchens and granaries. The overall temperature was extremely high.

In the center of this floor, there was an enormous blood pool, like a giant iron cauldron, boiling with flames.

But when Qin Chuan and his army reached the entrance to Level Four—they were met with a gruesome sight:

Countless prisoners already lay motionless on the ground!

At the same time, a thick cloud of dark purple gas filled the air across the entire fourth floor.

Realizing what was happening, Qin Chuan immediately turned and ran back toward Level Three!

It was obvious—this was Magellan's Venom-Venom Fruit ability at work!

Magellan's Paramecia-type Venom-Venom Fruit allowed him to produce deadly deep purple poison from any part of his body—sweat, saliva, breath—even sighs could become toxic gas.

The venom could paralyze nerves, cause extreme pain or hallucinations, and even kill outright. The poison was so corrosive that it could melt through stone with ease.

Anyone poisoned would need Magellan's own antidote to survive. However, the drawback was that constant use of his abilities would leave Magellan suffering frequent diarrhea.

And this was precisely why Magellan was able to keep so many legendary pirates suppressed in Impel Down—it was one of his greatest advantages.

"Hahaha! Kid, I don't care how powerful your attacks are—there's no way you'll be able to counter my poison!!"

Magellan, slaughtering prisoners mercilessly in Blazing Hell, burst into laughter when he saw Qin Chuan fleeing back to the third floor.

But Qin Chuan wasn't idle. As soon as he returned to Level Three, he opened his system store and started searching desperately.

The main problem with fighting Magellan was that his poison couldn't be neutralized. If Qin Chuan wanted to defeat him, he first had to find a character who could resist poison—but Might Guy clearly wasn't going to cut it anymore.

At first, Qin Chuan thought of Hanzo of the Salamander, often called "Demi-God Hanzo," from Naruto.

Hanzo possessed the ability to release poisonous gas just by breathing, and that's why he constantly wore a respirator to prevent accidental poisoning.

But upon further thought—Magellan's poison could enter the body through skin contact, not just inhalation. That meant even Hanzo wouldn't work.

Just then, Qin Chuan heard footsteps—coming up the stairs from Level Four to Level Three!

It could only be one person… the one man capable of safely walking back from Blazing Hell.

At that moment, Qin Chuan's heart tightened—but then, suddenly, his eyes lit up!

Because in the system store, he spotted a new character card—

Sasori (of the Red Sand) from the Akatsuki, master of puppet techniques!

Most characters could still succumb to poisonous attacks—but puppets didn't need to worry about that. No matter how much poison invaded, it wouldn't affect them.

But when Qin Chuan checked the required Fame Points for exchange—50,000 points!

"Damn scammers," Qin Chuan cursed inwardly.

Even though he couldn't redeem Sasori yet, it gave him an idea—there were several skilled puppet masters in the Naruto universe.

That's when another puppet master appeared in the store list—

Chiyo (Elder Chiyo) — Exchange cost: 30,000 Fame Points.

Perhaps because of her old age, Chiyo's card was cheaper than Sasori's.

Checking his system panel, Qin Chuan saw that after defeating Saldeath, Sadie, and Hannibal, he had just over 30,000 Fame Points remaining!

Without hesitation, he redeemed Chiyo's character card!

Ding! Exchange for [Chiyo] character card successful. 30,000 Fame Points have been deducted from your account.

As soon as the exchange was complete—Magellan arrived on Level Three.

"Brat, you're still resisting? Hah! You're going to die horribly soon!" Magellan taunted coldly as he walked slowly toward Qin Chuan.

His entire body was now enveloped in that terrifying, deep purple, deadly gas.
