Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Crimson Lotus Hell
Sea Circle Calendar, Year 1510. Impel Down Prison, Crimson Hell.
"Hey, wake up! Get up and eat your meal. Stop pretending to be dead!" A voice slowly penetrated Qin Chuan's mind.
The next moment, Qin Chuan suddenly felt a heavy blow on his backside, and immediately, his whole body jolted awake.
"Damn it! If you're not dead, hurry up and eat this meal. It's your turn soon!" At that moment, a man wearing a military cap, dressed in a white coat and green trousers, was glaring at Qin Chuan as he spoke viciously.
"This… where is this?" Qin Chuan looked around at the pitch-black surroundings, confused.
"Haha, kid, looks like you've been scared silly. Let me formally tell you again—this is Level 1 of Impel Down, Crimson Hell.
This meal might very well be your last, so enjoy it to your heart's content!" After the man finished speaking with a sinister grin, he turned and left.
Bang!
After a dull thud, Qin Chuan was left alone in the scene.
Just as he was about to get up to check the situation, a sudden influx of fragmented memories surged into his brain.
"Ah!" A sharp pain immediately shot through his head, forcing Qin Chuan to let out a muffled groan.
The next moment, the pain gradually subsided.
Then, one scene after another flashed through Qin Chuan's mind.
After a long while, Qin Chuan slumped onto the cold floor with a thud.
"How is this possible? How could I have transmigrated… and ended up in the One Piece world?" Qin Chuan kept muttering this sentence to himself.
That's right, Qin Chuan had really transmigrated—into the world of the anime One Piece.
But, unlike in the novels, he didn't transmigrate into the body of some powerful figure. Instead, he landed in the body of an ordinary pirate.
Even worse, this pirate had just recently been captured by the Marines and thrown straight into the dark and gloomy depths of Impel Down!
This prison held only the most dangerous criminals. It was sinister and terrifying, filled with monstrous jailers and constantly monitored by surveillance Den Den Mushi.
Additionally, outside the prison in the surrounding seas swam massive Sea Kings, making Impel Down worthy of its nickname, "an iron fortress."
What's more, once imprisoned in Impel Down, there was only one way out—escape.
And throughout history, only the legendary "Golden Lion" Shiki had successfully broken out.
"Damn it! Not only did I transmigrate into a third-rate pirate, but I didn't even get a system to help me?!" Qin Chuan cursed inwardly.
But just as his words fell, a familiar voice really did appear!
Ding! Fire Shadow Character Possession System successfully constructed. Congratulations, you have activated the system and unlocked the system store. As a reward, you have received a Beginner's Gift Pack. Please open your inventory to claim it!
"It's here! It's really here!" Qin Chuan, upon hearing that familiar voice, immediately opened the so-called system excitedly.
The next second, a character panel appeared in Qin Chuan's mind:
Host: Qin Chuan
Available Characters for Possession: None
Possession Uses Remaining: 0
Fame Points: 0
What the hell? Fire Shadow Possession System?
Qin Chuan stared at the system panel, utterly confused!
Then he suddenly remembered that he still had that so-called Beginner's Gift Pack, so he quickly used his mind to open the system's inventory and checked the contents of the gift pack.
Ding! Beginner's Gift Pack opened successfully. You have obtained one Character Card: "Might Guy" from Naruto, and 10 Possession Uses.
"Holy crap! Might Guy? Isn't that the strongest Taijutsu user in Naruto? Even Madara called him the strongest man!"
At this moment, the system panel refreshed again:
Host: Qin Chuan
Available Characters for Possession: Might Guy
Possession Uses Remaining: 10
Fame Points: 0
Now Qin Chuan finally had a rough understanding of what this system was about: it could let characters from Naruto possess his body.
Once possessed, he would gain access to all of that character's ninjutsu and taijutsu abilities.
However, in order to use possession, you first had to acquire a Naruto character card and have a remaining possession use. Both were required!
As for how to obtain more character cards or possession uses, Qin Chuan was still unclear.
However, he recalled that the system had mentioned a system store earlier, so he immediately used his mind to open the store interface.
The next moment, rows upon rows of Naruto character cards appeared in Qin Chuan's mind:
Sage of Six Paths (Character Card) — Required: 10 million Fame Points
Sage Mode Naruto Uzumaki (Character Card) — Required: 1 million Fame Points
Uchiha Madara (Character Card) — Required: 800,000 Fame Points
Hashirama Senju (Character Card) — Required: 500,000 Fame Points
Uchiha Itachi (Character Card) — Required: 100,000 Fame Points
Possession Use (1 hour) — Required: 1,000 Fame Points
...
Almost all of the powerful ninja from Naruto were included, each requiring different amounts of Fame Points.
The legendary Sage of Six Paths required a staggering ten million points to redeem!
The cheapest item was the Possession Use, yet even that cost 1,000 Fame Points for a single use.
Looking at the glaring zero in his Fame Points, Qin Chuan bitterly shook his head.
Then, he noticed a short line of text in the store's interface:
"How to obtain Fame Points: Defeat opponents to gain corresponding Fame Points. The stronger the opponent, the more Fame Points awarded."
Now he fully understood how the system functioned.
If Qin Chuan wanted to obtain more Fame Points, he had to fight—and win.
Until he amassed more Fame Points, he only had 10 uses of Might Guy's possession ability, with each use lasting one hour.
After that hour was up, he would return to being an ordinary person!
Thankfully, Might Guy was already incredibly powerful on his own, especially with mastery of the Eight Gates technique. As long as he didn't encounter any of the Four Emperors or Marine Admirals, Qin Chuan was fairly confident that he could defeat most enemies within that one-hour window!
