One Piece Solar Rift Conqueror!

Chapter 21: Chapter 21: The Counter Attack

Solian had dropped the initial Marine patrol, but he was not stupid enough to remain in the same location for too long. No sooner had they touched down than he took off, vanishing into the town's shadows.

The chase had started.

Marines were already reacting. Whistles blew loudly and signal flares exploded into the air, alerting the rest of the forces to his location.

They're fanning out," Solian snarled, watching from a rooftop as Marine units shifted, forming a closing net around the area. They weren't mindless—they had tactics. He had to break up their formation before they trapped him.

A second squad of ten Marines walked down the alley below, muskets high, swords drawn.

"Don't wait! Seize him if you spot him!" their leader shouted.

Solian smiled. Perfect.

Teleport.

He appeared above them, twisting in the air. Flames rose to his fists.

"Solar Strike!"

His fist struck the lead Marine in the center of the back, and the man fell face-first to the pavement. The others had no time to respond before Solian was among them, fire erupting from his body.

"Solar Wave!"

A blast of fire erupted outward, knocking five of them to the ground. They dropped their guns from their hands, powerless as flames engulfed their clothes.

The other two Marines followed with their swords. Solian spun between their cuts, his Agility well ahead of theirs. His foot lashed out, striking one Marine's knee, destroying it in an instant. The final one didn't have time to move before Solian had his wrist, twisted, and set his hand ablaze with focused solar heat.

The man shrieked, releasing his sword as his flesh ignited.

That was sixteen down.

Eighty-four to go.

Marine Base – Lt. Harrow's Office

Harrow pounded his fist on his desk.

"He's cutting through our forces like they're nothing!"

A nervous ensign appeared in front of him, gulping. "Sir, do we—"

Harrow seized the man by the collar.

"Send in the best team. No more playing games. I want Solian Flare's head on a pike by dawn."

The ensign nodded hastily and hurried out.

Harrow sneered. "See how long you can keep this up, boy."

Back in Town

Solian breathed out, his body warm with effort. He was not tiring yet, but he also knew that he could not sustain this indefinitely. He needed to pace himself.

Suddenly, he felt a difference in the atmosphere.

His senses heightened.

Something was approaching.

Then he spotted them. A squad of ten Marines in black battle dress, moving with deadly precision. These were different from the rest—no wasted motion, no dawdling. Their eyes locked onto Solian with silent, predatory focus. Elite soldiers. And they were here for him.
