Chapter 7: THE GOLDEN DAWN OF RA

After everyone had settled into their new home—the village of RA—Robert called an important meeting at the cathedral. The agenda: discussing and implementing new rules and regulations to maintain proper order. Once the villagers gathered, Robert began laying down the foundation of new laws, carefully balancing structure with the needs of the people. It took a few hours, but by the end of the meeting, everyone was satisfied. The rules benefited everyone's interests without forcing anything upon them.

Then came the most important matter—who would be the mayor of RA. The answer was unanimous: the villagers chose Robert as their leader, honouring the boy who had played the greatest role in their survival and given them a new home. Deeply moved, Robert gently refused. He reminded them he was still just a kid, and such responsibility was too great a burden. Though saddened, the villagers respected and accepted his decision.

Seeing their downcast expressions, Robert made another proposal. He nominated Rose as the new mayor, offering to serve as her advisor if she ever needed guidance. Rose was stunned by the gesture. She looked at Robert, who greeted her with a gentle smile. Turning to the crowd and witnessing their brightening faces, she found her resolve—and accepted the role of mayor.

After the meeting, Robert introduced an education policy for those wishing to study and complete their schooling. The cathedral, large and spacious, would serve as a temporary school. Anyone was welcome—children, young adults, even the elderly. Education was a right, and no one would be denied the opportunity to learn. To support this vision, Robert constructed a vast underground library filled with every kind of book imaginable—literature, geography, agriculture, science, and more. Everything he had once studied in the Great Library of the Holy Land, he replicated—excluding, of course, the fabricated history books.

With everything in place, the citizens of RA began a new life in a peaceful, beautiful environment—far from the shadows of the World Government.

TIMESKIP: THREE YEARS LATER

Three years had passed since the God Valley Incident and the founding of RA, hidden from the world's gaze. The people Robert had rescued now lived peacefully, fully adapted to their surroundings. Under Rose's leadership—guided by Robert and supported by Kuma—the village flourished. She had become a capable mayor, beloved by the people for her kindness and unwavering dedication, never asking for anything in return.

Robert, on the other hand, took on the burden of economic support. With his Molecular Manipulation and Reality Warping powers, he could conjure endless money and resources—but he never told anyone. He understood human nature too well. No matter how kind a soul might seem, greed could still take root—unless you were someone like Kuma.

Kuma, the gentle Buccaneer boy, had found his place among the villagers. Though RA was small, its people accepted him without judgment—never once looking down on him for his race or appearance. Most importantly, under Robert and Rose's guidance, Kuma no longer saw himself as a curse. He had begun to love himself.

He had also grown close to the energetic, pink-haired girl—Ginny. Rose often teased the two, saying they'd make a cute couple someday. Her teasing always made the 13-year-olds blush furiously.

But Robert, watching them grow closer—and seeing Kuma accept Ginny's affections—could only smile. Knowing he had changed their cruel fate and forged a brighter path for them gave him peace. Maybe in this world, Bonney would truly be the biological daughter of Kuma and Ginny.

Right now, Robert stood at the main port, waiting for someone. A small tug at his side pulled his attention downward. A red-haired boy with big, eager eyes stared up at him.

"Big bro, when are they coming!?"

Robert smiled and ruffled the boy's messy red hair, earning a tiny protest. This was none other than his half-brother—Shamrock. Now three years old, Shamrock's features were slowly growing to resemble their father, Saint Garling Figarland. Robert had no doubt that by the time the boy reached his teens, he'd be the spitting image of Garling—except for the red hair.

"Why? Can't wait to meet your brother?" Robert teased.

"As if! Who wants to be near that idiot?" Shamrock pouted and looked away.

Robert pinched his little brother's cheek with mock irritation. "Now, now, don't be like that. You don't want Big Sis Rose to hear what you just said."

Shamrock paled immediately. "Waahh! You won't tell her, right big brother!?" he asked, giving Robert the classic puppy-dog eyes.

Robert smirked. "You know that kind of illusion doesn't work on me."

Shamrock sighed in defeat.

"Oi, if you two are done—heads up. They're here," Ginny called out, standing beside Robert. Kuma stood behind her, joined by the ever-enthusiastic Ivankov, who burst into laughter at the sibling antics.

"Mmmfufufu~ Bob is always teasing little Shamrock. Ahh… what a brotherly bond."

Kuma smiled gently. "Bob cares for everyone—he just shows it in different ways."

"Oh Kuma-chi, you always take Bob's side. Hmph, not fair," Ginny pouted, locking eyes with Kuma and giving her own puppy-dog look.

Kuma blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Ah… well, yeah—" he stammered.

Ginny giggled and gently took his large hand in hers.

Kuma smiled, then turned his eyes toward the sea. A large ship was approaching—the sails were bright red, and the Jolly Roger flying above was unmistakable. A tall man stood proudly on the figurehead, wearing a wide grin.

"OI BOBBY… WAHAHAHAHA! I'M HERE TO CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL—"

A loud smack echoed, followed by a crashing sound.

"Stop causing problems everywhere you go."

A second voice rang out, scolding the first.

Robert chuckled as the ship docked and its crew began to disembark. His gaze landed on a towering figure—9 feet tall, with a thick mustache and a grin that never left his face. Gol D. Roger himself had arrived, his crew trailing behind.

"Wahahahaha! Bobby, it's so nice to see you again," Roger laughed, rubbing the bump on his head—courtesy of Silvers Rayleigh.

"Man, Ray, did you have to hit me that hard?" he groaned.

Rayleigh huffed. "Of course. You're acting like a child—challenging a thirteen-year-old to a duel."

"Hey, it's not my fault the kid can kick my ass even when I go all out," Roger retorted.

"It doesn't matter if Bob is stronger than you. He's still a kid."

Robert watched their banter with a smile. He still remembered the day they met—two years ago, a year after God Valley.

He had left a pendant with baby Shanks when he entrusted him to Roger. That pendant, set with a timer, would teleport the crew to Robert's location on Shanks' first birthday.

The Roger Pirates had been stunned when they were suddenly transported. They'd assumed it was a Devil Fruit trap set by the Marines and braced for battle—only to find a peaceful village before them.

Robert waved from the port, inviting them to dock.

Suspicious but curious, they complied. To their shock, they were welcomed with open arms. Pirates welcomed by civilians—it felt surreal. Still wary, they accepted Robert's hospitality, where Rose, Kuma, Ginny, and Ivankov awaited.

Once they were settled, Robert explained everything—where they were, how they had arrived, and who he truly was.

At first, they dismissed his words as fantasy. But a single demonstration of his powers shattered their doubts. It wasn't a Devil Fruit. No ability they knew could replicate what Robert had shown them.

Roger had laughed—not mockingly, but in awe. He believed Robert instantly.

The crew, shocked at first, gradually let go of their suspicions. After two weeks in the village, they were fully convinced. To know someone like Robert existed—it changed their view of the world.

Naturally, Roger challenged him to a duel.

His crew scolded him, but Robert casually accepted.

In front of everyone, Robert transformed. From an eleven-year-old boy, he aged up—becoming a 9ft tall titan with a body carved like a Greek god. His golden hair flowed like silk, his features divine. He looked like a celestial being.

Jaw after jaw dropped. Rose blushed furiously and looked away. Kuma, Ginny, and Ivankov's eyes bulged in comical disbelief.

Robert turned to Roger and asked if he was ready.

Grinning wildly, Roger said he always was.

With a flash, the two vanished—teleported to a distant island. A live projection remained behind for everyone to watch.

The duel was brutal—but only for Roger. He threw everything at Robert—swordplay, Conqueror's Haki, every trick he knew. None of it worked. Not a scratch. Not even a wrinkle on Robert's clothes.

Roger realized: Robert wasn't normal. He was something beyond comprehension.

And yet, rather than feel defeated, Roger felt inspired. He had a new goal—to grow stronger.

After the fight, Robert healed Roger completely, restoring his stamina and returning him to peak form. They returned to the village, and Robert reverted to his original form.

The crew had questions, and Robert answered them all with calm certainty.

A month passed. Bonds were forged. The Roger Pirates had become more than guests—they had become family.

As a parting gift, Robert gave them a golden token. With it, they could sail the waters of RA undetected, visit any time, and remain hidden from the world.

Since then, visiting RA became their tradition. Once a month, the Roger Pirates would arrive—and every time, they were welcomed with open arms.

That's how the Roger Pirates became a part of Robert's family.
