Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Goro Goro no Mi
At the highest point of the island, within the magnificent religious temple, the atmosphere felt sacred yet tense. Four men, clad in voluminous white robes and armed with sharp spears, guarded the perimeter of a small altar. Upon the altar, which stood over a meter high, lay a red cushion where a blue fruit with spiral patterns across its surface was placed. This was the sacred object enshrined in the temple, and supposedly, it was the Goro Goro no Mi!
Uh-huh!
A thin, long, and narrow dark-red line sliced through the void. A burst of spatial ripples quickly folded in on themselves, forming a dimensional portal. Sephiroth, clutching his long blade, stepped out from the world within the door, followed by Enel, whose expression was a mix of awe and fear.
"Who are you?" The four guards immediately raised their spears and aimed at the two intruders. The commotion in the hall quickly drew the attention of other guards outside, who soon rushed in.
"Let's run, quickly!" Seeing this, the corner of Enel's eye twitched slightly. A wave of unease and terror flooded his heart. He felt foolish for being so carried away by emotion earlier, wanting revenge on those five priests. Now? This man, Sephiroth, had brought him directly to the enemy's headquarters! Wasn't this just a death wish? There were over two hundred priests here, while they were only two. The difference was more than a hundredfold!
"The number of people means nothing in the face of absolute power..." As Sephiroth's words fell, he flipped the Butcher's Blade in his hand. Swish! Swish! In a few swift motions, the four guards were sent sprawling, struck only by the flat of his blade.
Immediately after, he picked up the Devil Fruit that had been placed on the altar, and he said with a hint of emotion, "Tsk tsk!... This is surprisingly simple! Logically, they should at least arrange a boss to guard it, right?"
"Daring fanatic! Put down the talisman quickly or we'll kill you!"
Hearing this, Sephiroth raised his eyebrows and said with disdain, "OH~! Then, you all come!"
Hearing such arrogant words, the priest guards, clad in robes and armed, immediately erupted in a furious rage and rushed towards the silver-haired youth, attacking him mercilessly.
One-Blade Technique: Instant Killer!
Sephiroth's figure flickered, and he appeared instantly behind twenty clergy guards.
Plop! Plop!
In Enel's horrified gaze, one by one, the priests collapsed. They were all struck down onto the ground by the silver-haired youth.
"Are they all dead?" Enel asked, trembling.
"I cut them with the flat of the blade."
"But some of them are spitting blood. Are you sure that was the flat of the blade?"
"Relax! Calm down! It's just internal injuries, two mouthfuls of blood, and they just need a short rest."
"..."
The disturbance that arose in the temple quickly attracted more priests. In Enel's shocked gaze, Sephiroth, holding a long blade in one hand and the blue fruit in the other, continued to cut his way out of the temple. Wherever he passed, all the priests collapsed onto the ground! More than 200 priest guards who came one after another couldn't stop him at all!
After a while, the priests lay helplessly on the ground, some unconscious, some clutching their chests or stomachs, groaning in pain. Only after striking down all the priests did Sephiroth lead Enel, descending the winding white cloud stairs, making a graceful descent, while searching for the whereabouts of certain individuals.
After searching for a moment, Sephiroth stopped, and he pointed his finger not far away, towards five figures hiding behind a house.
"Huh!? These five people, it seems they were the ones who bullied you earlier, right?"
Enel glanced at the five men, and a flash of grimness crossed his eyes. Seeing these five men, he felt an unbearable rage within his heart.
Seeing that, Sephiroth immediately drew the pistol tucked at his waist, disengaged the safety, and fired a shot towards the five men.
Bang!
The bullet hit the wall, leaving a bullet hole instantly.
"How about it? Still want revenge? I'M GIVING YOU THIS CHANCE RIGHT NOW."
Sephiroth, with a faint smile on his face, handed the pistol to Enel, who did not hesitate. After taking the pistol, he walked towards the five men.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Enel approached the five men, raised the pistol, and fired the five remaining bullets. However, the bullets deliberately avoided the vital points of the five men and only struck their thighs and arms, just enough to incapacitate without killing.
Sephiroth saw that all the priests had been beaten flat to the ground. He waved the long blade in his hand and opened a Spatial Door towards the temple in Upper Yard, Skypiea.
Inside the now simply decorated temple, Gild Tesoro, Stella, the Shandia Chief, and Gan Fall, the four of them were discussing some details of their cooperation.
"Now quickly gather your men and come and tie all these people up for me," Sephiroth commanded, turning and frowning. When everyone looked over, they saw behind him the fallen priest guards.
"..."
"Kami-sama," the Shandia Chief looked bewildered.
"These people are the priests of Birka Sky Island. Quickly call someone to gather and come deal with them! Don't delay!"
Gan Fall and the Shandia Chief looked at each other, but at Sephiroth's urging, they could only agree and send three hundred people to the other side of the gate, namely Birka Sky Island.
Since the priests of Birka Island were all injured, tying up the people was an easy task, a mere "breeze," and after a while, they managed to tie up more than two hundred people into bundled "rice dumplings."
On the other side, Sephiroth waved to Gild Tesoro. After the other approached, he gently patted Enel's shoulder and said, "Tesoro, this is my new brother. You sharpen him! Teach him the Six Powers and Haki cultivation methods, and don't let him look as weak as he does now."
Hearing this, Gild Tesoro first looked Enel, who was slightly thin, up and down before he said, "Okay, Boss! I will definitely sharpen him!" If this Enel could be adopted as a younger brother by Sephiroth, it meant that the other would focus on training in the future, and would most likely be on par with him at that point. Therefore, Gild Tesoro did not underestimate Enel in his heart.
Sephiroth took out a silver pocket watch from his upper pocket, looked at the time, and realized that it was almost eleven o'clock. After instructing Gild Tesoro about the treatment of Birka Island, he opened the Spatial Door and rushed back to the Sabaody Archipelago.
After all, he had vampire bats left by him on Sky Island. As soon as Birka or Skypiea encountered problems, he could rush back quickly to deal with them. He didn't need to constantly supervise the scene. He could simply leave the work details to his subordinates. Just let them handle it.
