One Piece: Rise of Valoria

Chapter 72: Chapter 72: The New Bounties

Marineford

Night fell heavily over Marineford. In the hospital, Sengoku and Tsuru stood solemnly near the beds of the Admirals, their faces grim.

"Doctor." Sengoku began, his voice weighted. "what's their condition?"

The doctor sighed, adjusting his glasses. "Admiral Aokiji is the least injured. He has several broken ribs, a shattered arm, a dislocated shoulder, and a fractured leg. He'll need about a month to recover, provided he doesn't push himself."

"And the others?" Tsuru asked, her tone calm but tense.

"Kizaru and Akainu… their conditions are severe. Both sustained heavy internal damage. Most of their ribs are broken, and their organs are bruised. Akainu also lost a leg above the knee. We'll have to wait until he wakes up to see if he wants a prosthetic from Dr. Vegapunk."

Sengoku's fists clenched. "How long until they're battle-ready?"

"A minimum of eight months for basic recovery," the doctor replied, "but ideally, they shouldn't fight for a year."

As Sengoku and Tsuru left the room, Sengoku grumbled, "This is a disaster. The Five Elders have already called, demanding immediate action against William and his crew. But with the Admirals out of commission, how are we supposed to deal with them? Even if Garp and I fight William together, what about the rest of his crew?"

Tsuru placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "For now, all we can do is wait. When they've recovered, we'll strategize."

Sengoku sighed heavily. "The Five Elders also want new bounties issued… as if that will solve anything."

Shakky's Bar

The morning sunlight filtered into the cozy bar as William stirred awake, sandwiched between the four girls. He smirked, brushing some hair from his face. "Girls, wake up. It's time to leave."

All the girls started acting lazy, asking for more time to sleep, and Hancock pouted, her voice soft and sleepy. "Can we sleep a little more?"

William chuckled, resigned to their antics. "Fine, You can sleep a little more, but can you at least let me go?"

"No," they all replied in unison, hugging him tighter.

Robin said with a sleepy voice. "How can we sleep without our pillow?"

William could only give up, letting them use him as their pillow.

Downstairs, Shakky was preparing breakfast. Rayleigh leaned against the counter, his face grumpy.

"You know," Shakky said with a smirk, "helping these kids isn't such a bad thing. Don't you want to do something meaningful instead of gambling and drinking all the time? I want to see how they'll change the world, and I want to be part of it."

Rayleigh grunted. "You don't understand, Shakky. That hateful kid William is going to drive me insane. He's too much trouble."

Shakky shook her head and smiled. "Oh, stop it. I know you better than anyone. You love that kid, even if you won't admit it. If I didn't know better, I'd think you two are a father and a son."

Rayleigh's lips twitched into a reluctant smile.

At that moment, William came downstairs. He spotted Rayleigh's expression and grinned mischievously. "What's with that creepy smile, old man? You look like a pervert."

Rayleigh snapped back to reality. "Respect your elders, brat! Why are you nice to Shakky but not me?"

William leaned closer, whispering, "Are you saying Shakky is old?"

Before Rayleigh could retort, William turned to Shakky and said loudly, "Hey, Shakky! Rayleigh just said..."

Rayleigh cut him off. "Don't you dare finish that sentence, kid! You have four women to worry about. Don't start something you can't handle."

William smirked. "Are you threatening me, old man?"

Rayleigh gave a triumphant grin. "What do you think?"

Rolling his eyes, William walked to Shakky. "Good morning, Shakky. Need any help?"

Shakky smiled warmly. "Good morning, William. Set the table for breakfast." She glanced at Rayleigh. "Unlike some people who only know how to eat and drink like pigs."

William grinned. "Shame on you, old man. Letting Shakky do all the work."

Rayleigh glared as William helped Shakky, leaving him to stew in his irritation.

Soon, Hancock, Robin, Sandersonia, and Marigold joined them for breakfast. The atmosphere was lighthearted as they joked and ate together.

After the meal, Shakky handed them a newspaper. "Look at this."

William unfolded it, revealing their new bounties:

- The worst criminal in history, Kael D. William, The Tyrant – 6 billion Berries.

- The most beautiful woman in the world, Boa Hancock, The Empress – 3 billion Berries.

- Boa Sandersonia, The Serpent Queen – 2 billion Berries.

- Boa Marigold, The Red Witch – 1.5 billion Berries.

- Nico Robin, The Demon Child – 1.5 billion Berries.

Sandersonia grinned. "The Serpent Queen… I like it!"

Marigold frowned. "Why am I a witch?"

Robin said, "I don't like my title. Maybe next time I meet the navy, I should act like a real demon."

Sandersonia glanced at Hancock's bounty and said, "Elder sister, they changed your title from the Gorgon Queen to the Empress. I think this title suits you better. Elder sister?"

Hancock didn't hear her at all, lost in a daydream about being an empress and William being her emperor.

The others laughed at her daydreaming.

Rayleigh chuckled as he looked at William. "What do you think, kid? Your bounty is higher than Whitebeard and Roger's ever were."

William shrugged. "I don't care about bounties." He leaned forward, smirking. "But I was thinking… when we establish our kingdom, I'll issue bounties on the Navy and the World Government. Let's see how they like being hunted."

Hancock nodded enthusiastically. "That's a brilliant idea!"

Rayleigh burst out laughing. "You're insane, kid, but I like the way you think!"

---

Outside the bar, the group prepared to leave. Marigold concentrated, using her Demon Fruit to make the entire bar, along with a chunk of the land beneath it, float.

William scratched his chin. "I was planning to store the bar in my space dimension, but this works too. Flying in style!"

Robin sighed in relief. "I didn't want to steal some stinky pirate ship."

The others agreed, settling inside the floating bar as Marigold guided it into the sky.

The last sight of Sabaody Archipelago disappeared beneath them as they soared toward Skypiea.

"Next stop, Skypiea." William declared. "Let's build a kingdom that will shake the world!"

The bar floated higher, disappearing into the clouds, as their journey to greatness continued.
