Chapter 166: Chapter 166: Mc Becomes A 'She'.
Marine Headquarters, Marineford
A tall figure walked along the wide road with a magnetic presence. The surrounding Marine soldiers—both male and female—couldn't take their eyes off her.
"Look! Who is that?! She's stunning!"
"Wait, are those Rinnegan eyes? Is she part of Admiral Kirin's clan?"
"Could be! She's even wearing Admiral Kirin's coat!"
"She's beautiful… maybe even more than the Empress!"
"That horn is so stylish! Why doesn't Admiral Kirin have one?"
"Shhh! She's looking this way! I'm going to faint!"
Chiga cast a sharp glare at the chattering Marines, her Rinnegan eyes releasing a faint pressure. A wave of dull thuds followed as Marines collapsed from the overwhelming force.
Looking at the unconscious Marines, Chiga sighed and rubbed her forehead.
Ever since returning from a mission to Impel Down, her ocular powers had surged. Even the slightest emotional fluctuation caused an oppressive force to leak from her Rinnegan, which ordinary soldiers couldn't endure.
Currently, due to Law's use of the Female Hormone, she had attempted to revert her form using Ishinaga-hime. But to her surprise, it had no effect. For the first time, the ability failed.
It seemed Ishinaga-hime judged her form to be in perfect health and thus wouldn't act on it.
Still, Chiga wasn't helpless. The horn on her right temple wasn't just for show.
Through it, Takamimusubi activated—an ability that ignored whether a foreign element was harmful or not. It transformed the hormones into pink threads and reabsorbed them back into the horn.
However, her return to normal displeased Kalifa, Ain, and Yamato. All three demanded she stay as she was—because Chiga was just too beautiful.
Law was still dazed, and even Ace, who hadn't recovered from her transformation either, stared at Chiga with a conflicted expression. She clearly hadn't had enough of the view.
Despite this, Ace respected Chiga too much to voice her thoughts like the others did.
Eventually, Kalifa spoke up.
"Boss, just stay like this for a few days. Think of it as a new look."
"…Fine."
Chiga wasn't one to ignore Kalifa's requests, so she agreed to stay this way temporarily. It wouldn't cost her anything, after all.
Meanwhile, the sudden collapse of Marines across headquarters triggered an immediate alert inside the main building. The moment Sengoku sensed the Rinnegan's pressure, he knew something was wrong.
Sure enough, as he stepped outside, he found dozens of Marines passed out on the ground.
His face turned grim as he scanned the scene. Eventually, his eyes landed on the tall woman standing in the middle of the road with her back to him.
"When did HQ recruit someone like her? And why does her presence feel so familiar?"
Sensing his gaze, Chiga slowly turned her head. Her deep violet Rinnegan locked onto Sengoku's eyes.
"What the—Rinnegan?!"
Sengoku was stunned. While Chiga's face was undeniably gorgeous, what truly shocked him were those unmistakable Rinnegan eyes.
He immediately recognized them as genuine. That powerful pressure couldn't be faked.
Before he could speak, Chiga addressed him.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I apologize. I didn't control my power properly and caused some trouble."
The voice sparked a memory. Combined with the Rinnegan, Sengoku cautiously asked:
"You… are you Uchiha Chiga?"
"Yes."
"Then what… happened?"
"Ask Law. I gave him a Devil Fruit with a special ability."
"So this form is a result of that ability?"
"Mm."
"Does it affect your strength?"
"Not significantly."
"Can you change back?"
"Anytime."
"Oh, then don't change yet."
"?"
Sengoku stroked his beard, eyeing Chiga from head to toe with mild admiration.
"Chiga, I don't know how you got that face, but it's dangerous. Men and women alike will be bewitched. With you walking around headquarters, I bet productivity will double."
"…Really?"
Chiga rolled her eyes in annoyance. Yet even her exasperation carried a certain charm.
Sengoku's old face turned red, his heart skipping a beat. He had to look away before he lost his composure entirely.
Forcing himself to focus, he asked another question.
"Did you absorb Hancock's Mero Mero no Mi? I heard she's been seriously ill lately."
Chiga raised an eyebrow. "Hancock is sick?"
"Yes. Her bounty numbers dropped last month. We contacted her through Den Den Mushi. An old woman answered and said Hancock's very ill—chest pains, high fever, and she keeps muttering a name."
Chiga immediately realized the old woman must be Gloriosa, former empress of Amazon Lily, also known as "Elder Nyon."
And if Hancock was feverish, muttering a name, the illness could only be one thing: lovesickness.
She didn't need to be narcissistic to guess the name Hancock kept repeating—it was likely her own.
After all, from Hancock's behavior during the last meeting at Marineford, it was obvious where her affections lay.
Why didn't Nyon report the name? Possibly to protect Hancock's pride.
But lovesickness in the world of One Piece wasn't a joke. It could be fatal.
If Hancock truly fell in love with her, she'd be utterly devoted.
Having the "world's most beautiful woman" fall for you wasn't something most men would complain about.
But if she was sick enough to die… Chiga couldn't ignore it.
She made a decision then and there: she'd go to Amazon Lily to help Hancock recover.
