One Piece: Rinnegan Is My Golden Finger.

Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Fishmans & Mermaids.

Everything that needed to be said had been said. Chiga walked toward his seat, brushing past Hancock.

Hancock turned around and stared at the word "Justice" emblazoned on Chiga's back for a moment, then silently followed him, appearing far more well-behaved than before.

Moria, struggling to his feet from the rubble, looked at the two of them, wanting to cry but unable to. He thought bitterly, "Is that it!?"

"I only said one sentence and didn't even finish it, and I got beaten like this. That Boa Hancock even made a move, and she only got a few scoldings?

Why the double standard? Is it because I'm ugly?"

(Yeah man)

Moria lowered his head and glanced at his already bloated figure. Well… maybe that was the reason.

He looked at Chiga with a mix of fear and frustration, then drooped his large head and returned to his seat without another word.

Having witnessed both Moria and Hancock's humiliating defeats, the remaining Warlords quickly quieted down. There was no other way—might made right.

When Chiga returned to his seat, Kalifa immediately began massaging his shoulders attentively. Her pressure was perfect, and under her skilled hands, Chiga closed his eyes in satisfaction.

Ain, meanwhile, stood watch beside him, eyes scanning the others below. In her eyes, none of them were to be trusted. Chiga was enjoying himself, and she wouldn't let anyone disturb him.

It had to be said—Chiga's personal secretary and bodyguard were both quite dedicated.

Hancock saw the two women flanking Chiga and felt a strange discomfort stir in her chest. She glanced at them briefly, then quickly lowered her head and stared at the table—as if trying to shut them out of sight and out of mind.

Chiga looked at Hancock again and said coldly,

"I didn't like your behavior earlier. As punishment, the number of pirate crews you're assigned to eliminate this month will be doubled."

Hancock trembled. She didn't mind the punishment itself all that much, but hearing the words "didn't like" somehow stung deeply.

Still, she nodded silently, accepting the punishment.

Moria also nodded along in agreement. In his view, anything was better than getting beaten again—he was a true shut-in at heart.

Chiga swept his gaze across the room. Seeing that no one else had anything to say, he waved his hand.

"All right. If there's nothing else, then you're dismissed. Headquarters has been running low on supplies lately, so don't expect us to entertain you."

As he spoke, Kalifa somehow produced an orange, peeled it skillfully, and held a segment up to Chiga's mouth.

Sweat dripped down the foreheads of Onigumo and Corazon. Vice Admiral Kirin's intentions couldn't be clearer—he clearly didn't welcome this bunch.

The Warlords were already used to Chiga's blunt attitude, so no one reacted visibly.

Crocodile, Moriah, Doflamingo, and Kuma slowly stood up, preparing to leave.

If they stayed here any longer, they feared Vice Admiral Kirin might suddenly explode and trap them all here. Wouldn't that just be a suicide mission?

Hancock remained seated obediently, as if she hadn't heard a thing.

Mihawk unfolded his arms and was just about to speak when Jinbe suddenly stepped forward.

"Vice Admiral Kirin, there's something I'd like to discuss with you."

Mihawk paused and stayed silent for now.

Chiga looked at the serious-faced, blue-skinned man and said flatly,

"You want to talk about that Fish-Man Arlong, don't you? He's already dead. What, are you here to demand justice?"

As he spoke, a terrifying aura erupted and enveloped Jinbe. A layer of cold sweat formed on Jinbe's forehead as he quickly raised both hands and said,

"No! You misunderstand. Arlong got what he deserved. Honestly, it was merciful of you to spare Hachi!"

Chiga nodded slightly. "Hmm, you're quite reasonable. Then what do you want to say?"

The terrifying pressure disappeared in an instant, and Jinbe felt his body lighten. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and let out a long sigh of relief, then respectfully said,

"I wanted to ask about your attitude toward the Fish-Man race and the Mermaid race."

Huh? Chiga raised an eyebrow. Why ask that?

After a moment of thought, he replied,

"The Mermaid race is fine. But as for Fish-Men... they seem to have a serious problem with humans. You should be aware of that."

"That is true," Jinbe admitted, "but it's because more and more humans have been raiding and enslaving our people. That's created deep resentment among many Fish-Men. Still, there are many of us who wish to live in peace with humans."

"Then you should go ask Roger why this so-called 'Great Pirate Era' began. And isn't Fish-Man Island currently under Whitebeard's protection? Why are you asking the Navy's opinion?"

Jinbe lowered his head, ashamed. Fish-Man Island was under Whitebeard's protection because King Neptune had a strong bond with him.

Whitebeard was reliable, yes—but he was still a pirate.

What the Fish-Man and Mermaid races truly needed was recognition from a legitimate world authority. That had always been Queen Otohime's dream—even at the cost of her life.

She had wished for her people to one day live on land, side-by-side with humans.

If the residents of Fish-Man Island could really put aside their prejudice... how beautiful would that future be?

And now, having seen Chiga's power and potential with his own eyes, Jinbe knew—this man was destined to lead the Navy in the future. His opinion of Fish-Man Island mattered more than anyone's.

With this thought in mind, Jinbe took a breath and said carefully,

"I admit Fish-Man Island is weak, and we've had to rely on outside protection. But please believe that many of our people sincerely want to gain the World Government's recognition—and to live peacefully with humans."

Chiga nodded. "I understand. I've got a general idea of what things are like over there. I'll personally visit Fish-Man Island in the future. As long as it's under Navy jurisdiction, I'll treat everyone equally. But if I come across any scum... don't expect me to go easy on them."

Jinbe's eyes widened in joy. Though Chiga hadn't exactly promised anything, the fact that he'd personally visit was already a huge victory!

Jinbe had heard of Chiga's exploits—he didn't tolerate evil, and those who crossed the line were completely eliminated. But unlike Akainu, Chiga had his own sense of morality. He did everything he could to avoid hurting innocent civilians.

(He was an earthling once, don't blame him)

Most of Fish-Man Island's residents were good, honest people. If Chiga saw it for himself, he'd understand—and his very presence would deter the criminals who preyed on the weak there.

Jinbe also understood what Chiga meant by "detestable people"—not just pirates, but extremist Fish-Men like Arlong.

But compared to the dream of peace, those individuals didn't matter anymore.

Even if Chiga wiped them all out, Jinbe wouldn't object.

If Queen Otohime's dream could truly be realized... then all of it would be worth it.

Without thinking, Jinbe rose from his seat and gave a deep bow.

"I am truly grateful, Vice Admiral Kirin!"
