Meanwhile, Sakazuki's face was shifting between shades of pale and dark. He wanted to say something threatening but didn't dare to.

After all, a Marine Admiral had just been annihilated before his eyes, and as the Fleet Admiral, saying nothing would make him look weak.

Yet, he instinctively touched the blood splattered on his face as if he could still hear Reini's final, defiant cry within it.

This only solidified his resolve to be pragmatic. He wanted to defend himself, to say, "It's not that we're weak, it's just that the enemy is in a whole different league." The power gap was simply insurmountable.

At this moment, Sengoku finally stepped forward and spoke, "Byakuya, let's end things here. I will never leave the Marines, but let Kuzan go with you."

Kuzan hesitated. "Sengoku-san?"

Sengoku continued, "After what happened today, do you really think you can continue staying in the Marines peacefully?"

"I..." Kuzan faltered.

Sengoku said, "Byakuya's ideals aren't so different from yours. Following him aligns more with your own sense of justice."

"Today's Marines are not the same as they once were."

Sengoku could feel it—after this incident, the World Government's trust in the Marines would plummet even further.

Their treatment of the Marines would only worsen with time. Staying within the organization might not be the wisest choice anymore.

Moreover, Sengoku truly believed that Byakuya, as he claimed, could bring real justice to the people of the sea.

With all these factors in mind, he made his recommendation. Kuzan turned to look at Byakuya, a complex emotion flickering in his heart.

The young man who once had only a fraction of his strength had now grown into someone even he had to look up to, someone worth following.

This world was truly full of surprises. If Byakuya knew what Kuzan was thinking, he might have regretted not punching him two years ago to knock some sense into him earlier.

Meanwhile, the Eight Supernova Pirates were hiding and watching not far away.

"Roar of The Sea", Apoo couldn't help but whisper, "What should we do now? Do we still follow through with our plan to attack Byakuya?"

"Captain", Kid snapped in frustration, "Attack my ass! Didn't you just see that even a Marine Admiral couldn't survive a single hit from Byakuya?"

"What the hell makes you think we stand a chance?"

"Gang", Capone Bege bit down on his cigar and grumbled, "Since there's no chance, we should just retreat."

"Hell, we might as well give up on becoming Pirate King. As long as Byakuya is in the New World, no one else will ever claim that title."

"Mad Monk" Urouge had a gleam of excitement in his eyes.

To him, among this group, he was the one with the highest chance of defeating Byakuya.

His Devil Fruit allowed him to convert received attacks into physical strength.

If he could keep developing his ability to the point where he could withstand one of Byakuya's punches, he would gain an enormous power boost.

Under such circumstances, he might truly stand a chance at victory.

He envisioned himself leading his crew, seizing control of the New World like the Night Organization, and becoming the Pirate King.

"Magician" Hawkins, silently fiddling with his tarot cards, drew one and paled instantly.

"The cards say that if we attack, our chance of death is 100%—essentially certain death."

"Gluttonous Woman" Jewelry Bonney shrugged. "Well, in that case, let's all just go home. I'm starving anyway. Time to find a place to eat."

But Hawkins, his lips drained of colour, continued, "The cards also say that if we don't attack, our chance of death is 99.9999%—again, certain death."

"Red Flag", X Drake frowned. "Is there something wrong with your cards?"

"If attacking means death and not attacking also means death, then we're all screwed either way."

When those words left his mouth, all eight felt a chill run down their spines.

Terror spread across their faces as they noticed Byakuya—who had been focused elsewhere just moments ago—suddenly turn his gaze toward them with a smirk.

"You're absolutely right," he said casually. "Right now, you really are out of options."

"You eight sure have some guts! With so many high-ranking Marines here, you still dare to show up? Do you not even know what death means?"

Byakuya looked at Kid and the others, slightly surprised.

Although his interference had prevented them from forming the Worst Generation, taking them out should still grant him a considerable amount of World Source Power.

After all, in the original timeline, Kid even formed an alliance with Luffy to fight Kaido.

As Byakuya spoke, Sakazuki and the others narrowed their eyes, shifting their gaze toward Kid and his group.

They hadn't expected that eight little rats were hiding there.

When Sengoku saw Drake, his brows furrowed slightly, as if he wanted to say something.

Kid and the others turned pale; the situation was exactly as Hawkins' tarot cards had predicted—their chance of survival was nearly zero.

It was simply impossible to face Byakuya head-on. Neither he nor the Marines were opponents they could handle at this stage.

Their only chance to survive was to submit to Byakuya.

The image of Byakuya effortlessly killing a Marine Admiral with a single punch was still fresh in their minds.

If they became his subordinates, they wouldn't have to worry about the Marines hunting them down anymore.

Without hesitation, determination flashed in Kid's eyes as he lowered his head and shouted,

"We heard that Lord Byakuya has arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago, so we came here specifically to request to join the Night Organization. We humbly ask for Lord Byakuya's approval!"

Kid's words caught the other seven off guard, but they quickly realized that this was indeed their best option.

One after another, they echoed his plea, requesting to join the Night Organization.

Eight Supernovas wanting to join the Night Organization? That sounded unbelievably fake. Byakuya didn't believe it for a second.

Sakazuki, who despised pirates to his core, wished he could wipe them all out. Of course, Byakuya was far too strong, so he had no choice but to hold back.

However, if these eight Supernovas were allowed to join the Night Organization, they would have enough time to grow stronger, making that already monstrous faction even harder to deal with.

No, he had to eliminate them before they joined.

Before Byakuya could respond, Sakazuki glanced at Kizaru, signalling him to take action and eliminate the eight pirates.

With Kizaru's speed, it would only take an instant. However, when Kizaru noticed Sakazuki's signal, he almost rolled his eyes on the spot.

Attack them in front of Byakuya? Do you think I have a death wish?

Reini's blood was still warm! Kizaru simply turned his head away, pretending not to see Sakazuki's signal.

Even if it meant getting his salary docked, it was still better than dying. Seeing that Kizaru refused to act, Sakazuki turned to Green Bull, signalling him instead.

But Green Bull was even more direct, lowering his voice and saying, "If you force me to attack in front of Byakuya, I'm submitting my resignation today!"

With his last two top fighters outright refusing to obey, Sakazuki felt like he had just taken a devastating blow, ageing several decades in an instant.

What kind of nightmare job was this? He didn't even want to be Fleet Admiral anymore!

But if he were to attack himself, he didn't have the guts either. He had just taken the position—he didn't want to die in battle right away.

Byakuya ignored Sakazuki's little tricks and instead stepped forward, slowly approaching the eight Supernovas.

Under his gaze, Kid and the others quickly averted their eyes, not daring to meet his stare.

When Byakuya stopped in front of Apoo, he took in the man's entire appearance—dressed in traditional Chinese-style robes with a large "音" (sound) character embroidered on his chest.

However, instead of feeling a sense of affinity, Byakuya found the outfit extremely out of place.

Frowning, Byakuya said, "No, you're too ugly. You don't fit the Night Organization."

The moment these words left his mouth, not only were the eight Supernovas stunned, but even Sengoku and the others were left speechless.

Since when did recruiting subordinates depend on looks rather than strength?

Apoo seemed to want to argue, perhaps to explain that his Devil Fruit ability was unique.

However, before he could even utter a word, Byakuya used his telekinesis to snap his neck instantly.

The remaining seven watched in horror as Apoo's lifeless body collapsed to the ground, their eyes filled with fear as they turned to look at Byakuya.

They hadn't expected that after rejecting Apoo, Byakuya would immediately kill him—without making a sound.

Capone Bege and Urouge nearly moved to attack, realizing that with their appearances, there was no way they'd make it into the Night Organization either.

But for Byakuya, eliminating Apoo was nothing more than a trivial matter. Byakuya then stepped in front of Bonney and nodded in satisfaction.

She had an attractive face, a curvy figure, and long legs—definitely promising potential. "Hmm, not bad. You're good-looking. Welcome to the Har—cough! I mean, welcome to the organization!"

Everyone present was struck speechless, black lines forming on their faces. Damn it, are you picking subordinates or a harem?

We're too embarrassed to even call you out on this! On the other hand, Bonney was trembling as she spoke, "Thank you, Lord Byakuya!"

She had no idea what fate awaited her in the Night Organization, but it was certainly better than dying here.
