Chapter 10: Chapter 10
The battle between the marines and the three Supernovas at the door was incredibly dull. The three strongest pirates among the Supernovas effortlessly crushed the marines, who had overestimated their own strength.
The slaves had already escaped through the back door, and no one bothered to pay attention to them. All marine forces were focused on the attempt to rescue the only remaining Celestial Dragon, Saint Shalria
Sal approached the door and calmly observed the fight.
"Monkey D. Luffy, the holder of the Gum Gum fruit , Trafalgar, the holder of the Op Op fruit , Eustass Kidd, the holder of the Magnet Magnet Fruit" Sal thoughtfully listed the names of the Supernovas. "Although they aren't particularly strong right now, their abilities are truly diverse," he sighed, recalling the other Supernovas. "Only a couple of them are sword masters, while the rest are Devil Fruit users who have hardened their skills," he concluded.
"The Supernovas have truly monstrous abilities," a familiar voice interrupted him.
"And you, I suppose, are more like a monster yourself. You remind me of an old friend," Rayleigh, sitting nearby while sipping wine, grinned slyly.
Sal, understanding the hint, calmly replied, "I'm not Roger, I'm Augustus D. Sarr.
Rayleigh, startled by the familiar voice, involuntarily froze. Now he was sure that in front of him stood a descendant of his old friend. Roger's behavior obviously could not help but cause rejection among his descendants.
"You're too reckless," Rayleigh said with deep concern. "You killed two Celestial Dragons as soon as you appeared. You should have been more restrained."
"You were reckless in your day too," Sal chuckled. "If no one had stopped you on Black Island, you would have killed Saint Chalbik."
Rayleigh, lost in memories, frowned. Only he and Roger knew about that. It was Roger who stopped him, preventing him from killing the Heavenly Dragon in his youth.
"You... how did you know about this?" Rayleigh whispered, struggling to hide his concern.
"Aren't you going to intervene?" Sal, ignoring his question, pointed to the battlefield below. "If you delay, an admiral will soon arrive. Then you'll have to stop him with your old bones again. Are you confident enough?"
Rayleigh, realizing that Sal wasn't going to explain, just smiled and replied:
"These are the adventures of a new generation, and I, an old man, don't plan to interfere."
Sal, also smiling, shook his head and looked at the battlefield. The marines, despite losing, under the command of a brigade general, were resisting desperately. He understood their plan—to hold out until the arrival of the admiral.
However, Sal wasn't planning to wait. After all, an admiral was a serious headache for him too.
"If you don't want to interfere, then I'll do it."
Sal jumped and, moving onto the battlefield, drew the attention of the supernovas and their crews. Naturally, they were curious about just how strong this madman was, who dared to kill a Heavenly Dragon.
Casting his gaze over the hundreds of marines, Sal didn't waste time taking them out one by one. He unleashed a powerful wave of Conqueror's Haki, followed by a purple storm. A massive wave of energy enveloped the space within nearly a kilometer, distorting the air.
All the marines within the Haki's range hissed in pain and lost consciousness. Even the brigade general couldn't withstand the pressure and collapsed to the ground. The pirates, not targeted by the attack, felt a prickly fear, as if being watched by a supreme predator.
The five supernovas, staring at Sal simultaneously, felt sweat trickle down their foreheads. This terrifying aura pressed down on them with incredible force, comparable to the piercing aura of Dark king that enveloped everything around. Rayleigh had used similar Haki, but his ability was much stronger and more frightening.
Robin, covering her mouth, saw the real Sal for the first time. Previously, she knew him only as a strange and arrogant person. Now she understood that he had earned his reputation as an enemy of the World Government.
Rayleigh, having dropped his wine bottle, stared in disbelief at what was happening. The strength of this semi-Yonko's Royal Haki couldn't have stunned him to such an extent. He was shaken by the familiar aura. He couldn't forget Roger's Conqueror's Haki, which he had known for decades.
Now this young man named Sal was an exact replica of Roger—the same appearance, the same voice, the same Conqueror's Haki. Confirmed in their kinship as well as the identity of the Haki, he involuntarily shuddered and whispered:
"Roger... is that you?"

[Reaching level 40, received prize: blue lottery]
In front of everyone's eyes, Sal leveled up by 2.5 levels, which was a pleasant surprise. Without hesitation, he used the blue lottery.
[5th-level spell, Spell Scroll "Furious Fire" x1]
With this scroll, he could use the sealed spell once. Its power, naturally, wasn't expected to be excessive, as it was a prize from the blue lottery.
Sal withdrew his Conqueror's Haki and, feeling an unpleasant heaviness in his chest, tried to calm it. In his current state, he could use his Conqueror's Haki at full power, but it came with discomfort, which was quite bearable.
After all, the level of Conqueror's Haki he was using was only accessible to semi-Yonkos and Yonkos. Of course, a Yonko's Conqueror's Haki was incomparable to his beginner level.
"You're still here?" Sal asked with a mocking grin as he watched the stunned crowd. "You should understand that if an admiral arrives, you are unlikely to survive."
Kidd, although irritated by this remark, did not dare to contradict him. The powerful Conqueror's Haki still instilled fear in him. Deep down, he was sure that not even an admiral could assist them.
Kidd's group, followed by Law's Heart Pirates, left the battlefield. As they parted, Law said:
"Mr. Sal, I hope we meet again."
"Certainly," Sal responded amicably. "If nothing happens, we'll definitely meet at the Summit War. I will surely come to save Ace or just to witness the spectacle. To be there and do nothing would indeed be a crime."
The Straw Hat and the Flying Fish Riders planned to leave together. But when Sal decided to set off alone, Rayleigh called out to him.
"Sal, would you like to have a drink with me?"
Refusing Rayleigh, both in his past life and this one, would be foolish.
"Alright, I only drink strong beverages, you know."
Rayleigh, seeing the familiar smile, couldn't help but ponder for a moment before responding:
"I promise, I'll get you drunk. I have a few bottles of excellent wine."
"Haha, you really know how to pick good wine."
At this moment, Usopp, the Straw Hat sniper with a bounty of 30 million Beli, whispered to Nami:
"I've been watching for a while, and it seems to me that old man Rayleigh and Mr. Sal have suddenly become very close."
"Mind your own business. We need their help."
Although Nami was curious, she refrained from gossiping about others. That is, of course, as long as these people weren't dangerous to them.
Together, they got on the Flying Motorcycle and the Sea Cow Motorcycle and returned to the home of the human trafficker who had kidnapped Camie. Naturally, the people left there were barely alive.
Their path led to Shakky's Rip off bar, where they were awaited by an older woman who had not yet lost her charm. With a smile, she invited everyone to sit at the table. But upon seeing Sal, she froze for a moment, looking at Rayleigh and winking at him.
Rayleigh, noticing the question in the eyes of his former love, simply shook his head. He didn't know where Sal had come from, but Sal interacted with him freely and familiarly, like an old friend.
Deep down, he also hoped that his hunch was correct, but the thought was too absurd
