One Piece: New Order

Chapter 163: Hawk Eye's Body Must be Left Intact

Sakazuki never expected the Revolutionary Army to actually overthrow the World Government.

Their purpose was simply to throw the world into chaos, to keep the government from ever settling down. Once his plans were fully laid out and the pirates had been completely wiped out… everything else would fall into place.

But now wasn't the time to think that far ahead.

He shook his head and returned to the present. "First, send the materials to Dr. Vegapunk. After that, head to the West Blue and meet up with us."

Enel straightened up. "Got it."

He called over a few soldiers, had them carefully wrap the equipment, then picked it up and vanished in a flash of lightning.

Somewhere in an unknown part of the sea, aboard the Red-Hair Pirates' ship.

The crew had just defeated another pirate group and were now celebrating, piling up the treasure they'd taken onto the deck.

Suddenly, crying echoed through the air, wiping the smile off Shanks' face. He rubbed his chin, a little unsure, then he walked over to one of the treasure chests. Reaching out, he lifted the lid.

Inside, lying among the gold and jewels, was a crying baby. Even Monster, the small monkey, climbed up to the edge of the chest and curiously peeked in.

Beckman blinked in surprise. "No way... That pirate crew…"

After he finished speaking, as if startled by the crowd of people surrounding her, the baby who had been crying broke into giggles.

Shanks looked helpless. "You can't be serious... Hey!"

Maybe sensing his mood, the baby resumed crying again.

Flustered, Shanks didn't know how to calm her down. Then, he seemed to remember something, and with a reluctant face, he started to sing.

The baby froze, staring at him with her big, round eyes. Then she smiled.

Shanks was stunned as his mind drifted back to the scene at God Valley.

Captain Roger opening a treasure chest. He saw the shocked faces of both Roger and Rayleigh.

The baby's laughter pulled him back to reality.

He looked down at the infant with hair split cleanly in the middle, one side red, the other white. His gaze softened.

"What kind of fate is this..."

It felt like destiny coming full circle.

Back then, he had been hidden in a treasure chest and unknowingly brought aboard by the Roger Pirates.

Now, after founding his own crew, he, too, had discovered a baby in a treasure chest looted from another pirate crew…

Her name would be Uta.

East Blue. Oykot Kingdom.

The small port town was engulfed in flames, and the marines who had rushed in to respond were locked in battle with a pirate crew.

Unlike battles between powerful fighters, this was chaos. Brutal, uncoordinated. Pirates wielding machetes clashed with marines in what looked more like street brawls.

Flames roared. Blades clashed. Blood spilled on rooftops and on the ground. Led by a brawny man wearing a horned helmet, the pirates gradually began to overpower the marines.

Behind a pile of rubble, Bell-mère and a few surviving marines fired muskets at the pirates from a distance. But despite their resistance, they were outnumbered and outmatched. One by one, the marines fell.

Eventually, not a single one was left standing.

After looting what they could, the pirates left behind their comrades' bodies, set fire to the buildings, and burned the town to the ground.

Leaning against a shattered wall, Bell-mère was covered in blood, her body slashed in numerous places.

She felt her consciousness slipping. 'Is this... the end?'

She tried to move but her limbs wouldn't respond, and it felt like her body no longer belonged to her.

She struggled, but nothing worked. She was too tired. 'Maybe... it's okay to stop.'

Fleeting memories flashed through her mind like a flickering reel. And strangely, the last person who appeared in her thoughts was that fool in the village wearing a police uniform.

"Stupid Genzo…" muttering to herself, she closed her eyes. She had no strength left.

Just then, the cry of a baby pierced the dead silence of the town.

Bell-mère's clouded mind snapped awake. 'That sound...! No... I have to get up! There's still... the baby is still alive… If I die now... then…'

A sudden wave of resolve surged through her from nowhere as she forced herself to stand, stumbling.

In the distance, a blue-haired girl was walking aimlessly, blank-faced, holding a crying infant in her arms.

Step by shaky step, Bell-mère made her way toward them. Her voice was weak. "Your sister?"

The girl turned, startled by the bloody, battered woman. She shook her head with no expression. "I don't know whose child it is."

Thud.

Bell-mère collapsed right in front of them, unable to stand anymore. She looked gently at the little girl and reached out, touching her cheek.

The orange-haired baby giggled.

Seeing that carefree smile, tears spilled down Bell-mère's cheeks. "You really... don't understand how I feel at all, huh..."

No one is born strong. The little blue-haired girl had just lost her home, her family, her friends, all slaughtered by pirates.

Yet now, she couldn't hold it in anymore. Tears poured out, even as she smiled. Crying and laughing at the same time.

Bell-mère gently pulled both girls into her arms.

"I'll take you... home."

North Blue. An island near Reverse Mountain.

Nine massive warships formed a fleet. All the marines stood at attention, ready to depart.

Following Sakazuki's command, they slowly left port. Not long after setting sail, another large warship caught up and rejoined the fleet.

Wearing his special black marine uniform, Bullet leapt aboard Sakazuki's ship in a few quick jumps.

On deck, Sakazuki was reading the newspaper, his brows furrowed. Without looking up, he spoke, "Take a break, Bullet. There's dessert in the mess. Had it prepared for you."

Bullet grinned. "Thanks. And what's up? Something bad in the paper?"

Sakazuki handed it over. "Nothing serious. Another Warlord of the Sea has been added. A dog that's never been beaten doesn't know how to behave."

Since Sakazuki was handling matters across the four seas, another vice admiral had been sent to handle the latest recruitment.

Bullet nodded. "Right. That's Gecko Moria, huh? I'll give him a proper lesson later."

Sakazuki said flatly, "That guy's nothing. Just trash. But page three... Dracule Mihawk. That one's got guts."

"Oh?" Bullet's interest was piqued.

Rustle!

He flipped the pages and looked closely. His brows rose as his tone turned icy. "Marine Hunter? Some fool with a death wish. Should I take care of him?"

Sakazuki's voice was low and cold. "Such good material… We'll need the body intact."
