One Piece: My Crew Members Are Legendary 3D Heroines

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Marine Colonel Hina

The moment Ethan Chen laid eyes on the skull flag hoisted high above the village square, he already had his answer.

If nothing went wrong, this had to be the world of One Piece.

Rampant pirates, corrupt Marines hiding behind a facade of justice, tyrannical kingdoms, and the untouchable Celestial Dragons reigning from above.

In such a world, there was no greater security than power.

The strength of one's fists, the size of one's influence these were the only true guarantees of survival in this devouring world.

And that was exactly what Ethan needed most right now.

Especially after surviving a pirate raid on the fishing village, barely escaping death. He had walked the line between life and death.

Now, with 2B volunteering to make his protection her primary directive, it was an overwhelmingly fortunate turn of events.

It also completed one of the missions the system had assigned to him.

Opportunity never favors the weak. If you wish to earn your place, then summon your courage and prove your worth.

Mission Objective: Kill one enemy (pirates, bandits, Marines, common soldiers anything counts)

Status: Completed

Reward: One Summoning Opportunity

(Note: Summoned individuals will not automatically serve you. To earn their loyalty, the host must display sufficient personal charm.)

Seeking the fabled One Piece? Then gather your crew and begin your adventure!

Crew Requirement: A swordsman (preferably female, no niche fetishes)

Status: Completed

Reward: One Mastery Point

(Can be freely allocated to personal stats; allocation is permanent choose wisely.)

New Mission: How do you plan to sail without a ship? Swim your way to the One Piece?

Ship Requirement: The bigger the better. If all else fails, drifting in a barrel is acceptable (just don't get swallowed by a Sea King).

Note: The ship must be personally owned acquisition by theft or purchase both count.

Reward: +1 Lottery Draw

(Mission deadline: One month. Each day overdue will earn you a week-long "Kidney Drain" debuff. Please complete promptly.)

Ethan pursed his lips. The system didn't outright threaten termination upon failure, but this kind of punishment? Cruel enough for any normal man.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he turned to 2B, who was still waiting for his response.

"Then I'll be counting on you to keep me safe," he said.

2B gave a respectful salute. "I swear to guard your life with mine. I will defend the honor of humanity."

"You don't have to be so formal," Ethan smiled. "We're partners now. Just be yourself."

"Partners..." 2B touched her chin thoughtfully, then nodded. "I will remember that. But if you ever need me, just give the order."

"Alright, let's head back." Ethan began walking toward the village. "Let's see how things are maybe there's something we can do to help."

He also needed to complete the ship acquisition mission, which could likely only be fulfilled here. Given they'd just saved the village, scoring a small boat shouldn't be too difficult.

But just as the two neared the outskirts, a squad of armed Marines came rushing their way.

2B instinctively drew her greatsword, stepping in front of Ethan in a defensive stance.

The Marines halted some distance away and formed a line, leaving a path open in the middle. From that corridor, a tall woman with flowing pink hair, a cigarette between her lips, and a commanding mature presence slowly walked out.

Her tight red uniform clung to her body, a single button straining over her ample bust like a tiny spider trying desperately to keep a collapsing bridge from breaking apart. It looked like one deep breath would send it flying.

It was undeniable women in this world were built a little... excessively.

The woman cast a glance at the alert 2B before speaking calmly.

"So, you're the ones who saved the village?"

"Yes," Ethan said, gently grabbing 2B's wrist to signal her to lower her weapon. "That was us. Is there something you need from us?"

"Just confirming your identities. Word is, you're not locals?"

At this, Ethan felt a wave of unease.

He remembered that in this world, sailing required official Marine approval. Civilian movement was tightly regulated you couldn't just go wherever you pleased.

Anyone who set sail without authorization whether pirates, adventurers, or bounty hunters was automatically labeled a pirate.

After all, sailing the seas allowed one to escape the heavy taxes imposed by Marines, kingdoms, and even the Celestial Dragons.

That's why anyone with guts would rather head to sea than stay behind to be exploited.

But Ethan and 2B? One was summoned here by a system, the other was an interdimensional traveler. Neither had legal identity, let alone valid seafaring documentation.

In short, to the eyes of the world, they were no different from pirates.

Ethan locked eyes with the woman and subtly squeezed 2B's hand before slowly shaking his head.

Tension rippled through the air.

"Colonel," a Marine whispered into the woman's ear, "we checked no match with any known pirate profiles."

The pressure instantly dissipated.

The officer extended her hand with a professional smile.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Hina. Thank you for defending the village."

So it really was her.

Even without the exposed cleavage like in the original, Ethan recognized her instantly pink hair, cigarette, and that stoic charisma. The name "Hina" came to mind the moment he saw her.

A Warden-Warden Fruit user, she possessed the ability to shackle enemies with iron bars upon contact and could conjure long-range spears. A formidable combatant not to be underestimated.

Judging from the Marines' address, she was only a Colonel at this point?

Had the Marineford War not yet happened in this timeline?

Ethan was briefly tempted to imagine how a battle between 2B and Hina might play out.

But setting aside those wild thoughts, he accepted her offered handshake.

"I'm Ethan Chen. This is 2B. As for the pirate raid... we fought purely out of self-defense."

"Regardless of the reason," Hina replied, "you defeated the pirates and saved the village. That's a fact."

She let go of his hand and continued, "I'll make sure the bounty you earned is delivered in full. You're staying in the village for now, I assume?"

"Yes. We're looking for a ship."

"Then stay put for a few days. I'll have your bounty brought over, and the loot from the pirate ship is being tallied we'll convert it into Berries and hand it over. I'll also be stationed here for a bit. If you need anything, find me at the docked warship."

With that, Hina turned and left, her Marines marching behind her.

Ethan watched her retreat, noting the large "Justice" kanji emblazoned on the back of her coat.

Not only was she delivering the bounty personally, she was also helping sort the pirates' stolen goods. Talk about going above and beyond.

He was grateful it was Hina who came rather than corrupt officers like Colonel Nezumi or tyrants like Axe-Hand Morgan.

Maybe this was just beginner's luck?

Feeling uplifted, Ethan and 2B returned to the village.

But the sight of the aftermath the wreckage, the silence, the grief lingering in the air snuffed out his good mood.

Survivors gathered around them, offering heartfelt thanks.

"Big brother, this is for you."

Ethan looked down. A little girl with a runny nose was holding out the shopping bag he had brought with him, straining to raise it above her head.

"Thank you," Ethan said, taking the bag and patting her head. He pulled out a pack of gummy candies and handed it to her.

This candy... every piece eaten was one less he'd ever taste again.
