Chapter 14: 《One Piece: Magma of Absolute》Chapter 14: Sakazuki Prepares to Detonate God Valley
The situation was dire.
Charlotte Linlin could only coat Kaido's wound with Armament Haki, desperately trying to keep his injuries from spiraling out of control.
But the relentless flow of magma was eating into both of them, burning fresh wounds across their bodies.
"Damn you, Marines!!!"
The magma Sakazuki had left festering inside Kaido finally erupted, compounding the already devastating injuries. Even though Charlotte Linlin reacted in time, reinforcing the wound with Armament Haki, Kaido was now hanging by a thread—barely clinging to life.
Staring at Kaido, teetering on the edge of death, rage nearly shattered Charlotte Linlin's sanity. For his sake, she forced herself to keep it together.
In a heartbeat, she found her answer. Murderous intent flashed in her eyes as she swept her gaze across the panicked pirates and Marines around her.
"Hand over your lifespans!"
With a thunderous roar, Conqueror's Haki erupted from her, entwined with the power of the Soul-Soul Fruit.
"Life or Death!"
Every pirate and Marine caught in the blast visibly withered—aging decades in seconds, collapsing as their lives were ripped away.
"AAAAHHHH!"
"Help! Please!"
"Big Sis Linlin, we're on the same side!"
"Damn it!!"
"Run, get out of here!"
"She's lost her mind!!"
"Crazy woman!"
"Someone save me!!"
The battlefield was filled with screams and curses. As they watched themselves and those around them wither and age, panic gave way to pure terror. Dreams and ambitions died with them—their eyes closed, their lives snuffed out.
In an instant, bodies piled up as pirates and Marines dropped like flies.
The entire battlefield fell deathly silent, all eyes fixed on the magma-streaked figure cradling a dying man.
But Charlotte Linlin paid them no mind. She gathered the stolen lifespans into her right hand and pressed it against Kaido.
All the years she'd reaped from thousands poured into him at once.
As the lifespans flowed, Kaido's breath grew stronger—but the stockpile in her hand dwindled at a terrifying pace.
No time to waste. Charlotte Linlin hoisted Kaido and charged toward Rocks' pirate ship, stealing more lifespans with every step. In her wake, only corpses remained—faces twisted by the horror of sudden old age.
After enduring two rounds of Sakazuki's magma onslaught, the pirates' fragile morale had just begun to recover. Now, with Charlotte Linlin's ruthless harvest, it shattered completely.
Once Charlotte Linlin stormed aboard Rocks' ship, the battlefield erupted into chaos. Pirates scrambled, then stampeded, desperate to reach the few remaining ships.
"Bastard, get off my ship!"
"Move! This is my spot!"
"Please, let me on—I'm a navigator!"
"Die, you bastard!"
"Out of the way!"
"Kill them all!"
Brotherhood and loyalty meant nothing now. Pirates tore each other apart in a savage brawl, blood and limbs flying as they fought for a place aboard. The ground was soon carpeted with bodies...
—
Elsewhere—
Unaware of the carnage above, Sakazuki sensed only the faint echo of the magma he'd left in Kaido finally detonating.
Whether Kaido survived or not… well, with Charlotte Linlin's Devil Fruit, just draining enough lifespans from others could probably keep him alive. Still, losing a few organs was inevitable. Kaido's skin might be tough, but his insides weren't made of steel.
"Big Mom..."
His low voice rumbled through the earth. Then, as a torrent of magma, Sakazuki continued his descent beneath God Valley.
He was about to deliver a "gift" to both Rocks and the Celestial Dragons.
Time lost all meaning as the temperature climbed. After plunging several thousand meters down, he finally felt the oppressive heat—the raw energy radiating from the magma beneath the earth's crust.
Sakazuki dropped into the molten sea, his upper body reforming atop the churning surface. He closed his eyes, focusing his will. The endless underground magma began to swirl around him.
For a moment, time itself seemed to halt. In that instant, Sakazuki was the god of magma.
More and more magma gathered, growing restless—bubbles burst in violent explosions, the pressure building.
After a while, he opened his eyes, his deep voice echoing through the inferno.
"Not yet. Be patient."
He spoke as if soothing a child, and amazingly, the restless magma stilled at his words.
Only Sakazuki understood the power simmering beneath that calm surface—a force that could wipe an entire nation from the map, plunge the Four Blues into eternal winter... a power capable of destroying the world itself.
"Just need the right trigger..."
He looked upward, as if his gaze could pierce the thousands of meters of rock above, seeing those titans locked in their apocalyptic battle.
Then his body melted back into magma, surging up toward the battlefield. Everywhere he passed, the earth turned to seething lava, carving a vent for the coming eruption.
"Soon... very soon..."
His low, rumbling voice echoed through the underground sea of fire.
As if in response, the magma leapt and danced, growing ever hotter—hungry for release.
