One Piece: Lord of Calamity

Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Island for Mature Audiences

"Ugyargh! You brat, you sure can drink!"

"Hahahaha! Just kidding! I'm an expert drinker!"

Roa, drinking for the first time since transmigrating, clapped the table and emptied his glass in one gulp.

Mere alcohol! Watch me dissolve it with the tough body forged in countless hardships!

After agreeing to a private alliance, the banquet atmosphere naturally became very pleasant.

One could say their worldviews were quite compatible. Though Kaido wasn't as sunny and cheerful as Roa, who treated everyone else in the world as NPCs, he was also a hot-blooded, lively, socially Darwinist big boy. And after a few drinks, his emotions would flow particularly freely.

Coupled with their past camaraderie in the Rocks Pirates, the conversation naturally flowed like water.

Now, as they reminisced about the glorious days on Hachinosu Island, Kaido even started crying and laughing, highly emotional.

Bullet was wolfing down food while looking up at Roa and Kaido, who were clinking glasses like brothers.

How powerful!

Both Lord Roa and this guy named Kaido were so strong that he couldn't even dream of catching up!

When he personally witnessed their battle earlier, Bullet felt a surge of anxiety.

It was the anxiety of being so weak himself, while the lord he followed and his enemies were so incredibly powerful, that he couldn't help at all!

Become stronger!

I must become stronger!

Bullet sped up his eating. Unlike Lord Roa, food was the source of his strength!

Dylan, meanwhile, calmly and steadily ate his food, showing no reaction.

He only needed to quietly follow behind this lord, just as he always had.

And Lord Roa would naturally lead him to the pinnacle of the sea; this was a matter of course, destined to happen.

As Roa and Kaido chatted, Roa suddenly asked, "By the way, Brother Kaido, do you know the whereabouts of Aunt Stussy?"

"Stussy?"

Kaido was slightly surprised. "What do you want that woman for?"

During their time in the Rocks Pirates, she was one of only two executives who were cold towards Roa.

Kaido suddenly thought of a possibility and looked at Roa with a strange expression. "That woman is running a prostitution business in the New World now. Don't tell me, you brat—!"

"What kind of dirty joke are you telling a child, Brother Kaido? Do you want the Marines to arrest you for corrupting a pure boy's ears?" Roa said indignantly.

"Pure boy?"

Kaido twitched his lips.

"Anyway, I want to ask Aunt Stussy for directions."

Roa said.

The Vinsmoke Family had no homeland and had always been nomadic on the sea. It wouldn't be easy to confirm Judge's whereabouts.

Roa's intelligence-gathering ability was practically zero, and Kaido, with his underlings who were mostly worthless, was pretty much the same.

Therefore, he needed to find someone with excellent intelligence-gathering capabilities.

For example, Aunt Stussy.

Or rather, the cyborg, Stussy.

"Whatever you say."

Kaido neither affirmed nor denied Roa's statement, then told Roa Stussy's whereabouts.

Soon after.

The colossal azure dragon grasped the flame clouds and ascended, winding its way into the sky.

Roa stood on the deck, waving to the departing big brother. "Take care of yourself, Brother Kaido! Remember to call if anything happens!"

"You're not getting any younger. While you're building your empire, don't forget to resolve your relationship issues. If it's inconvenient to raise a child, I can help you! I'm still waiting to hold my big niece!"

The departing Kaido couldn't help but turn back and glance at the rambling Roa.

Crazy.

"Lord Roa,"

As he gazed at Kaido's departing back, Dylan's voice came from behind. "Is Kaido really trustworthy?"

"Doesn't matter,"

Roa shrugged, saying indifferently, "What's trustworthiness among pirates? Common interests are enough."

At least on the matter of overthrowing the World Government, both sides indeed had an unbreakable foundation for cooperation.

Moreover, there probably wouldn't be many opportunities for cooperation in the short term, because, at this stage, the New World wasn't their stage.

"Anyway, let's set sail,"

Roa stretched, yawning. "To find Aunt Stussy."

No black mist to eat, so I just want to sleep. I won't be so hungry in my dreams.

"Yes."

Dylan nodded.

"Lord Roa!"

Bullet suddenly spoke.

"What is it, Bullet?"

Roa turned his head.

Young Bullet looked serious. "After witnessing your power, I feel my own insignificance. I want to become even stronger! Please guide me in my training!"

Guidance?

Ah...

Such a boring thing. I'd rather sleep.

Roa's eyes darted.

"True power is forged through battle." Roa, who had become so strong purely by eating, said earnestly. "So, Bullet, have some fun with them."

With a snap of his fingers, the chang ghosts, swaying like zombies, walked out of the cabin. Their lifeless, or rather, seemingly soulless, pitch-black eyes locked onto Bullet.

"I see!"

Bullet, however, believed this was the secret to Lord Roa's immense strength. Even though he had never seen Lord Roa genuinely fight in six years, how could Lord Roa's words be wrong?

The boy clenched his fists. "I understand, Lord Roa! Let them attack with all their might!"

Bullet, who hadn't experienced life's setbacks, was much more normal than his original counterpart. He would get hot-blooded and excited.

"Have fun."

Roa waved his hand, and the chang ghosts instantly lunged at Bullet.

Bullet immediately found himself in a tough fight.

After all, Roa had specifically selected the chang ghosts who could use Haki; otherwise, they wouldn't be able to pose a threat to Bullet at all.

These were the absolute elites among the chang ghosts; none had a bounty lower than 100 million, and some even exceeded 300 million.

Bullet's two-colored Haki had only recently awakened and was still at a completely beginner level. He also hadn't used his Devil Fruit ability much. Facing such a group of opponents, he naturally couldn't achieve a quick victory.

But he was already very impressive.

However, still too far behind!

Roa leisurely lay on a lounge chair, watching Bullet's struggle.

Indeed, Buggy's bragging about him being equal to Rayleigh at fifteen in the movie was pure nonsense.

Only weaker than Roger, and equal to Rayleigh? Where does that leave Jabra?

If he were really that strong, would he have drawn with Crocodile after leaving the Roger Pirates? Would he have trained for twenty years to master his awakening and only then reach the level of a Yonko? Wasn't peak Rayleigh already Yonko level?

Sigh, what has happened to society? Why is it so restless? Can't people be a little more down-to-earth? It must be a systemic issue. Imu, you should repent!

Soon after.

New World, Velvet, night.

This island wasn't large and had few resources, but a large number of pirate ships were docked at its harbor, simply because the island housed a very special town.

Roa, wearing a large pair of sunglasses, led Bullet and Dylan swaggeringly through the city's streets.

Both sides of the street were lined with large and small display windows. Looking at the scantily clad women inside, Roa couldn't help but sigh repeatedly. "This is too inappropriate for children. I need to collect evidence so I can report it to the Marines."

"This one's too small, doesn't seem quite right. Oh! This one's a bit too big. Humanity's potential is amazing!"

"Long-neck tribe, too ugly—huh? Amazing, they even have this kind of play?"

"A Mink Tribe cat girl? Fluffy isn't entirely out of the question."

"Merfolk too? Exaggerated. Their legs haven't even split yet!"

"Hey, an octopus fish-man is going too far, right? Human fetishes are truly not to be underestimated!"

"What? Even Giants? Incredible! The courage to forge a path in the wilderness is truly humanity's anthem!"

After walking around, Roa had exhausted all the surprise he hadn't experienced in six years.

You've got some nerve, Aunt Stussy.

Walking and stopping along the way to collect evidence, the trio finally arrived before a brightly lit high-rise building.

On the terraces of each floor of the building, scantily clad, pitiful ladies displayed just how impoverished they were to the people below.

This prompted the men below to become righteously indignant, forcing their way into the building.

"Crimson Nightless City, Lord Roa. Stussy should be inside."

Dylan maintained his usual calmness. He only had the dream of following Lord Roa to the peak of the sea, no trivial desires.

"Let's go!"

Roa's eyes showed determination. "I want to see what's really going on!"
