One Piece: Lord of Calamity

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Too Wicked! Big Brother is Coming!

Somewhere on the front lines of the Land of Endless War.

The ceaseless conflict continued, and the front lines remained engulfed in flames.

However, in this narrow mountain pass, unknown to anyone, the leaders of the warring factions were holding a secret meeting.

Neither side brought many people, only a few trusted guards.

Although the atmosphere was tense, with both sides itching to draw their guns and turn the other into a sieve, they both tried their best to maintain restraint.

This meeting concerned their shared interests.

"I don't think we need to waste words," one of the leaders began, leaning against the rock face, frowning, and smoking. His tone was heavy. "If we don't deal with that monster, this country will never know peace."

"We absolutely agree on that point," the other leader, a relatively well-dressed man, nodded solemnly. "He just wants to see this war continue endlessly. Until he's satisfied, none of us can win."

"However, with just our forces, even if we combine them, we definitely can't defeat him!" The man with the cigarette puffed out a smoke ring. "For six years, his puppets have crushed every pirate crew that approached this country, many of them great pirates with bounties over 100 million! Not to mention, he has a monster subordinate like Bullet!"

"Don't worry about that," the well-dressed man said. "He's been staying in our territory, so we've observed him more closely. He's always been deliberately concealing information, warning us not to reveal his whereabouts."

"Oh?" The cigarette-smoking man's eyes lit up.

"When the Rocks Pirates disbanded, it was very unpleasant, and in the past two years, there have been constant frictions between them. I think if those monsters knew his whereabouts, they probably wouldn't remain indifferent!" The well-dressed man's voice was cold. "Not to mention the Marines! Six years ago, his bounty jumped by 700 million all at once! He must have done something that made the World Government utterly detest him!"

"Exactly!" The cigarette-smoking man nodded repeatedly. "What we can't do, we'll leave to those who can!"

He continued, "And what we need to do is seize this opportunity to drive him and his people out of this country!"

"That's right! Now, let's discuss the specific plan."

"Plan? The plan is for all of you to die!"

A cold voice came from above.

The people secretly meeting here froze, then instinctively looked up.

A figure plummeted from the cliff, shaking the ground and raising dust.

"Lord Roa said he was betrayed!" a tall, well-built young man with long golden hair coldly looked at the people before him.

The well-dressed man's face instantly turned pale, and cold sweat dripped from his forehead. "Bu-Bu-Bullet! Wait, wait! You were born in this country! Gray was my old subordinate! I even held you when you were little!"

"I only obey Lord Roa's commands!" Bullet sneered.

As for Gray? That guy never managed to achieve his ambition of becoming king; he was personally killed by the very man standing before them.

Soon, in his own manor, Roa saw the two big bosses, trembling and slumped on the ground like two piles of rotting meat.

"To actually leak my whereabouts!" The handsomely dressed, tall and slender young man, Roa, was furious. "How wicked! How could you be so wicked! My peaceful life is going to be shattered now, isn't it?"

The well-dressed man almost burst into tears, pointing at the man beside him and wailing, "I, I was misled by this guy! Lord Roa, please, please believe me! I absolutely won't do it again! Please forgive me just this once!"

"Forgive?" Roa scoffed. "How can I forgive someone who would betray even a young boy like me?"

The well-dressed man was completely dumbfounded.

"Hahahaha! What's there to say now?" The other boss, knowing his death was certain, burst out laughing, finding courage in his despair. "Roa! You scum! Don't you just want this country to be in eternal chaos so you can manipulate it?"

"I'm telling you! One day, someone in this country will stand up and make you pay for your blood debts!"

"What are you talking about?" Roa asked, surprised. "You started the war, you killed the people, and now you're blaming me?"

The man's impassioned words suddenly choked in his throat.

"You all knelt down and begged me for help a few years ago, and I genuinely helped you when you needed it," Roa sighed. "What exactly did I do wrong to make you hate me so much? Saving you from dire situations multiple times wasn't enough; you're truly greedy."

He felt so wronged.

Without him, the war would have continued anyway.

He only eliminated the impact he brought, so how did he become a great villain?

"..." The man was speechless.

The well-dressed man suddenly cried out, "No, we were wrong! You're simply a demon who feeds on human suffering! From the very beginning, we shouldn't have submitted to you!"

"That's a nasty thing to say," Roa rebuked. "You do wrong and then curse people; you're truly incorrigible! Ungrateful people like you only make bread more expensive to live! Bullet!"

Bullet dragged the two crying and laughing men out.

"Lord Roa," Dylan calmly said, "the message has already spread through the underworld. There's no way to intercept it. What should we do?"

"All good things must come to an end; it's time to say goodbye," Roa sighed. "Truly, the so-called 'hard to leave one's homeland' must mean this, right?"

He had stayed in this country for a full six years! Only one year less than on Hachinosu.

Moreover, he had absorbed far more dark energy here than on Hachinosu, and collected more ghostly minions too!

Roa felt that, compared to Hachinosu, this place was his true home!

Those two bastards! To force a thirteen-year-old boy to leave his home, who else deserves to die but them?

"Alas, that's why I say, if only all countries in the world were like this one."

Roa sighed. "Never mind, Dylan, pack our things. Get ready to leave."

If he didn't leave soon, some "uncles and aunts" would likely come knocking.

As for the World Government, there was no need to mention it. Six years ago, at God Valley, he had personally wiped out hundreds of Celestial Dragons, possibly even the wife and children of the Moon Head. It wasn't impossible for the God's Knights to be deployed directly.

He had to slip away.

Roa's estimations were spot on. After the news spread, the monsters reacted.

In the New World.

"Gurarararara! I knew that kid was still alive and well! The Land of Endless War, huh?"

"Mama mama! Katakuri! Let's go! Time to pick up your good brother!"

At Mariejois.

"That great sinner is still alive and well? Send Garp! He must die!"

And what even Roa hadn't anticipated was this:

In the sky near the coast of the Land of Endless War.

"Uroguroro! So close! Roa! I'm coming!!"
