ONE PIECE: KAIDO'S SON

Chapter 7: CHAPTER 7

High!

Too high!

Looking up at the towering giant before them — both above and beneath their feet — the Tobiroppo and the All-Stars couldn't suppress the deep dread rising in their chests.

They had seen this kind of overwhelming presence before. Every time Kaido transformed into his Azure Dragon form, his aura would smother everything beneath the heavens.

But this... this was something else.

"Mythical Zoan!"

Jinbei — watching from the battlefield sidelines — suddenly exclaimed, eyes wide.

"What?" Queen choked, slumping to the ground, stunned. "He hasn't even transformed fully yet! How can he have a Mythical Zoan fruit?"

Queen had seen Mythical Zoan users before — Marco the Phoenix, Yamato, even Sengoku the Buddha during the Marineford War. But none of their transformed states came close in size or aura to this monstrous giant standing before them.

Only Kaido had ever exuded this level of presence.

"No mistake," King said, voice steady despite the tremor in it. "That kind of aura… that divine pressure… it only comes from the highest tier of Mythical Zoans. Just like Kaido's Uo Uo no Mi, this is something equally rare… equally terrifying."

Jack of the Drought bared his teeth.

"Another Mythical Zoan on this sea?! This is madness!"

He stomped forward, tusks bristling, yelling at the colossus before him:

"What Devil Fruit did you eat?!"

The giant didn't answer immediately.

Then Ragnar — his form radiating divine might, as tall as Kaido's dragon form, with a celestial third eye glowing at his forehead — finally spoke.

His words were calm, but they rang through the skies like a divine judgment.

"Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Erlang Shen."

The wind howled.

The clouds over Onigashima were swept away in an instant by the sheer force of his presence. A celestial silence followed… then awe.

"Erlang Shen... a god..." Jack muttered.

He knew well: the Human-Human Fruit was laughable at the base level. But once it became Mythical?

Like Sengoku's Daibutsu form — it granted not just size, but divine abilities.

"A top-tier Mythical Zoan… and the Haoshoku Haki of a Conqueror... No wonder Kaido named him the True Lord the moment he joined the crew…" Queen whispered, throat dry.

This wasn't just a giant.

This was a god walking the earth.

"Jack, fall back!" King bellowed.

But Jack refused.

"So what if he's a bit bigger? I've killed giants before!"

In a surge of power, he transformed into his hybrid form — the full might of the Ancient Zoan Mammoth fruit coursing through him.

Trunk, tusks, and dual arm-blades all glowed with hardened Armament Haki.

But just as he lunged—

BOOM.

Ragnar's divine palm descended.

The air in its path compressed violently, heating into red-hot flame trails from sheer kinetic pressure.

"Die."

Jack roared defiantly — but it was too late.

The palm — vast as the sky — fell.

Impact.

The earth beneath Onigashima trembled.

Flames and debris exploded outward in concentric shockwaves.

The crowd of onlookers saw only a blur before their eyes. When they could see clearly again, they were left speechless: Jack the Drought, one of the All-Stars of the Beast Pirates—known for his brutal power and near-indestructible Zoan body—was now being crushed in Ragnar's palm like a mere toy elephant.

"Get out of here!"

Jack bellowed in fury, his ancient Zoan form struggling violently, muscles straining, veins bulging.

But it was like watching Sun Wukong trying to leap from Buddha's palm—no matter how Jack twisted or resisted, Ragnar's hand held him immovably.

"Do you submit?"

Ragnar's tone was calm, eyes indifferent, as if holding one of the Four Emperors' top commanders meant nothing.

"Never!"

"Except for Kaido-sama, I acknowledge no one!"

Jack's voice cracked into a roar, his tusks flaring outward, his eyes bloodshot. His pride as one of the Lead Performers—who once fought Admirals, survived a Zunisha attack, and withstood torture—refused to bow.

Ragnar didn't get angry.

Instead, with terrifying calm, his fingers tightened.

The sky trembled as black lightning, the unmistakable sign of Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror's Haki), burst forth—not in a clash, but from within. It wasn't a duel of wills—it was pure domination.

The black cloud that had floated high in the air was ripped apart with a thunderous crack. The heavens screamed.

"GAAAHHH!!!"

Jack's massive frame convulsed, blood mist erupting from his pores, his Zoan-enhanced durability crumbling. The howl that escaped him was one of both agony and humiliation, echoing across the battlefield like the wail of a dying beast.

The pirates of the Beast Pirates, those not already unconscious from Ragnar's oppressive Conqueror's Haki earlier, turned pale and trembled violently. Even hardened warriors like Fukurokuju's subordinates or Gifters were rattled by the unrelenting force.

Even Fukurokuju himself, a stoic figure, furrowed his brow from afar.

Jack, the calamity who once clashed with Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, who rampaged through Zou, was being squashed like plasticine, with no resistance.

"Jack!"

At that moment, King the Wildfire's face finally changed. His calm demeanor gave way to a sharp jolt of anger and shock as he gripped the hilt of his katana, Enma-style.

"King… you're not actually thinking of going up against that monster, are you?"

Queen, who had remained half-amused before, muttered nervously.

But before the words finished leaving his mouth—

He vanished.
