ONE PIECE: KAIDO'S SON

Chapter 30: CHAPTER 30

"No... it's not the Float-Float Fruit."

"That guy actually lifted an iceberg as big as an island."

Facing Akainu's speculation, Aokiji firmly refuted him, his voice laced with disbelief. Despite his mastery of ice, even he was stunned by what he was witnessing.

"Whether it's the Float-Float Fruit or not is irrelevant now. The most urgent thing is—execute him!"

Akainu adjusted his cap, his molten brows furrowed. His jaw clenched, and after a brief pause, his gaze sharpened like a predator locked on prey.

When his eyes locked onto the silhouette in the sky holding the iceberg, they were colder and more merciless than the eyes of a Sea King sizing up a shipwrecked sailor.

  "Great Eruption!"

With a roar, Akainu hurled his magma-coated fist skyward. The air hissed and twisted under the sudden surge in temperature, and steam burst around him like volcanic vents.

The sky glowed crimson as his Dai Funka (Great Eruption) soared upward — a colossal magma fist larger than a giant's punch, glowing with wrath, tearing through the air with explosive force.

"Even with your iceberg... vanish from this world!"

Akainu's voice rang with absolute judgment. He didn't care who the figure was. Devil Fruit? Lineage? Affiliations? None of it mattered to the fleet admiral who had executed Ace at Marineford. All he saw was a threat to justice—and he would burn it to ash.

Back on the prison ship, Kaido chuckled. Not mocking, not defiant—amused.

  "Make a fuss..." he muttered.

"Make the kind of fuss that tears down the order of the seas. Let me see it with my own eyes..."

Though chained in seastone shackles and caged like a beast, the glint in Kaido's eye wasn't that of a defeated man. It was of a war-hardened father watching his legacy ignite the world.

  "Hmph."

Ragnar, far above, noticed Kaido's gaze but didn't return it for long. His own eyes locked instead onto the incoming magma fist.

Then, with the ease of a man throwing a pebble, he flicked his right hand forward.

The iceberg lost its support and began its descent.

  Gravity took over.

In mere seconds, the massive berg — larger than the G1 base island itself — accelerated downward, the friction against the air creating waves of burning red energy trailing behind it.

"Too big, huh? But Sakazuki," Ragnar said coolly, "you should be able to catch it."

Aokiji scratched the back of his head awkwardly, his own power dwarfed in spectacle by what he had instigated.

"Just cracking some ice. Not a big deal."

Akainu scoffed, but beads of sweat betrayed his inner caution.

  "You must stop it!"

  "Admiral Akainu!"

  "Sakazuki-san!"

The Marines on the prison ship cried out, some in desperation, others in blind hope.

Then, sky and sea seemed to shatter.

  BOOM!!

The magma fist and the island-sized iceberg collided in a deafening blast. The sound cracked across the horizon, louder than thunder, sharper than cannonfire.

A shockwave burst outwards, ripping through clouds and sending nearby warships rocking violently.

Steam burst from the clash point—billowing white fog that spread like a stormfront.

  Magma hissed and ice cracked.

  Molten fury met frozen wrath.

The glacier groaned under the force of Akainu's Dai Funka, some of it melting, some of it shattering. But though the magma fist was smaller, it held something else — the eruptive force of a volcano's wrath, the will of absolute justice behind the punch.

And that sheer momentum — born not just from strength, but conviction — began to drill through the heart of the iceberg, a red-hot spear through a frozen mountain.

At the moment Akainu's magma fist pierced the enormous iceberg, the colossal fist exploded with devastating force.

Blistering heat and violent shockwaves surged from deep within the iceberg, shattering the mountain of ice into countless blazing shards.

  "Destroyed... completely shattered!"

  "As expected of Admiral Sakazuki!"

"Even an iceberg larger than the entire G1 base... reduced to pieces in a single blow!"

For a moment, the surrounding navy stared in stunned silence. Then, euphoric cheers erupted across the battlefield.

  But—

  "No!"

  Aokiji's expression suddenly changed.

Akainu narrowed his eyes. He too sensed it—but it was too late.

The countless flaming shards of the shattered iceberg—still burning from internal magma exposure—descended from the heavens like a rain of meteorites. Accompanying them was a crimson haze of searing magma, still suspended in the atmosphere from Sakazuki's earlier attack.

  BOOM!!!

  The sea.

  The prison ship.

  The docks.

Even the G1 base in the distance—

All were swallowed by a merciless downpour of fire and molten fury.

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

In mere seconds, the entire G1 branch—already ravaged by Kaido's previous rampage—was submerged under a relentless bombardment of volcanic bombs and burning ice.

  BOOM!

The scorched remnants of buildings crumbled.

  The sea itself boiled.

Fires raged through steel and stone.

What remained of the G1 fortress was now little more than a smoldering ruin.

  "Aaaaahhhh!!!"

"Magma... This is Admiral Sakazuki's ability, right?"

  "Why is it falling everywhere?!"

Panic spread like wildfire among the survivors.

But this catastrophe wasn't limited to buildings.

The true devastation lay in the human toll.

  Navy soldiers patrolling the base...

  Marines in the training grounds...

Wounded soldiers in the infirmary, still recovering from Kaido's last rampage...

More than 70% perished instantly in the cascading hellfire.

Of the remaining 30%—20% were critically burned or maimed, their lives hanging by a thread.

The final 10%—though less injured—could do little more than crawl through the blistering terrain, their uniforms aflame, surrounded by magma and ash.
