After Garp's departure, Ash and the girls decided to take a well-deserved break. They girls spent the day doing their own things, each taking a moment for themselves while ash left them so they can have their own time.
Uta, who was lost in thought as she glanced over at the others, suddenly remembering something important. With a light gasp, she turned to the girls, excitement bubbling in her voice.
"Wait! I just remembered! Tomorrow is Ash's birthday!" Uta exclaimed.
Ace raised an eyebrow. "Really? Did you know Selina's birthday is March 20th? Just a few days after Ash's?"
Lucy, overhearing, leapt up with enthusiasm. "What? That's amazing! We have to surprise him, throw him a party! We can't let his birthday pass without celebrating!"
The next day, Ash woke up to the girls standing around his bed, grinning from ear to ear. "Surprise!" they all cheered, showering him with warm birthday wishes.
Ash, surprised but happy, smiled and pulled them into a tight hug. "Thank you, all of you," he said, feeling grateful for the gesture. "This means a lot to me."
The girls, brimming with excitement, proudly declared, "We decided to cook you breakfast today, Ash! We're going to make something special just for you!"
With enthusiasm overflowing, they dove into the kitchen, determined to impress. However, their cooking quickly turned into a mix of chaos and creativity. Some dishes were outright disasters, while others showed surprising promise.
Ash, watching their efforts, couldn't help but smile. Even as he cautiously sampled a particularly questionable dish, he still praised them with genuine warmth. "I'm proud of you all," he said, doing his best to mask his reaction.
Seeing the growing struggle—and the barely concealed panic of the bandits—Ash finally stepped in with a grin. "Alright, I'll take it from here. Let's have a real feast today! I'll cook for all of us!"
The girls let out a collective sigh of relief. Even though their attempt hadn't gone as planned, they were happy that Ash appreciated their efforts. Meanwhile, the bandits, having barely survived the experiment, secretly rejoiced—none of them were eager to be test subjects for the next round.
As the party wrapped up and the night settled in, Ash found himself alone, reflecting on the day. The sounds of the girls sleeping filled the room, and he started to drift off himself when suddenly, a chime echoed in his mind.
["Happy birthday, Ash,"] Celeste's voice resonated softly in his thoughts. ["It's been one year since you came to this world."]
Ash smiled quietly, thankful for the reminder. "Thanks, Celeste," he responded inwardly, grateful for the constant guidance.
Celeste continued, ["Remember, Ash, I mentioned you would get a birthday present every year from the system. Here it is."]
Suddenly, an image of a gift box, wrapped in sparkling paper, appeared before him in his mind. Ash felt a surge of curiosity and excitement, knowing that whatever this gift was, it would be something special.
As Ash opened the gift, a sudden surge of energy flowed through him. His level increased by +1, and he immediately checked his status. Along with the level-up, he found 2500 Store Coins added to his existing balance. In his hands, he now held a Skill Book and a worn, mysterious worn out map. The text on his status screen confirmed the gifts:
- +1 Level Up
- 2500 Store Coins
- Skill Book (x1)
- Map (1/4)
Ash looked over the map, intrigued by its weathered appearance, and couldn't help but wonder what secrets it might hold. The Skill Book also caught his attention
Ash carefully read the description of the map:
- Map (1/4)
Description: "A cryptic, weathered map made of an unknown material, with faint markings that shift when examined closely. It's torn in places and lacks key details, showing only part of the treasure's location. Once all pieces of the map are assembled, the full details of the treasure and its location will be revealed."
The map, though incomplete and damaged, hinted at something far more significant. It was clear that finding the remaining pieces would be crucial to uncovering whatever hidden treasure it led to.
Ash asked Celeste in his mind, "How will I get the other parts of the map?"
Celeste replied, ["The remaining parts of the map may be obtained through quest bonus rewards or probably you might get it on your future birthdays. But you cannot buy them in the store or through the lottery."]
Ash nodded, understanding that the quest for the full map would require patience and a little luck.
Ash thought to himself, "Whatever treasure or place this map is leading to, it must be very important if the parts to get it are so difficult to obtain." He understood this mysterious map was not just an ordinary piece of treasure hunting, and the challenge to complete it would likely lead to something of great significance.
After checking the map, Ash stowed it in his inventory. Then, he turned his attention to the skill book still in his hand. He hoped it wasn't another skill like Nimble Fingers from last time. He opened the book, and it vanished. To his relief and excitement, he received the skill he had been eager to acquire ever since his reincarnation: "D" Willpower.
- "D" Willpower[Passive]
Description: A passive ability that represents an indomitable spirit and unyielding resolve. It enhances the user's ability to push through extreme adversity, resist mental and physical exhaustion, and maintain focus in the face of overwhelming odds. This willpower strengthens the user's determination, allowing them to persevere no matter the challenge.
{}
Ash could immediately feel the weight and significance of the skill coursing through him. Will of "D" wasn't just another ability—he could feel it in his bones, a surge of resolve that anchored him to this world. It wasn't something to be read or analyze; it simply was, and it was a part of him now, making him more attuned to the trials ahead.
With this skill, Ash knew he had truly become a part of the world he now inhabited.

After Ash's birthday, the girls, with Ash's help, quickly began planning Selina's birthday surprise. Uta, Ace, and Lucy put their heads together to make sure everything was perfect. Ash, of course, assisted with organizing and making sure Selina's special day went smoothly. When the surprise was revealed, Selina was overjoyed, and the party was filled with laughter and fun.
Once the celebrations ended, the group returned to their training, sticking to the routines Garp had set. Ash and the girls pushed themselves hard, refining their skills and growing stronger with each passing day. Over the next three months, they felt the fruits of their hard work, steadily improving. They even celebrated Lucy's birthday in between their training months.
{}
During a rare moment of rest, Selina casually brings up a question, "Guys, what do you think about going to Uncle Dragon's base?" Her words immediately catch everyone's attention.
Lucy's eyes light up as she jumps with excitement, exclaiming, "That's a great idea! Dad already said he'd help train us when Grandpa isn't around, right? What do you say, Ash?"
Ace nods in agreement, her enthusiasm matching Lucy's. Ash chuckles at their energy, replying, "Alright, he did give us a safe way to contact him. Let's try it out." With that, he retrieves the secure Den Den Mushi from his inventory, preparing to call Dragon.
As Ash dials the secure Den Den Mushi, Dragon answers after a few moments. Before Ash can speak, Lucy's excited voice bursts out, "Dad, can you come and pick us up?" Uta quickly interrupts her, scolding, "You idiot, wait for Ash to talk first!" Lucy pouts, crossing her arms in frustration.
Dragon chuckles warmly on the other side of the line, his deep voice carrying amusement. "So, you guys want to come here, huh?" Selina jumps in before Ash can respond, her voice confident. "Uncle Dragon, you promised to help us train, remember? Grandpa Garp already left after training us and it's been a few months, and we've been continuing on our own. Now we want to learn from you."
Ash stands silently, watching as the conversation happens around him. He sighs internally, feeling a bit overlooked but unable to argue with their enthusiasm.
Dragon listens carefully, and after a thoughtful pause, he replies, "Alright. As I promised, I'll help you train. I'll reach you for about.....may be in and around couple of weeks—since you know our base is a bit far. Be ready when I reach near I'll call you guys."
Finally, Ash gets his turn to speak, casually responding, "Sure, old man. We'll wait."
Two weeks pass, during which Ash and the girls balance their time between training and preparing for their upcoming journey. They visit Foosha Village to inform Makino about their plans. Makino, initially surprised and hesitant upon hearing about Dragon, voices her concerns about the dangers of such a journey.
However, after listening to their determination and assurance, she eventually relents and gives them her support, trusting in their abilities and their resolve.
The time finally arrives for their departure. On the morning of their journey, Dragon calls them. Before Ash can pick up, Lucy grabs the receiver and says, "Moshi Moshi! This is Monkey D. Lucy, Pirate Queen! Who's calling?"
Ace and Uta facepalm and scold her, "Idiot, this is the secure Den Den Mushi your dad gave us—it's obviously him!" Ash chuckles at the exchange, while Dragon laughs on the other end, amused by their antics.
Dragon informs them, "Brats, I'll reach your location in an hour or so." Ash replies, "Alright, old man, head to Foosha Village docks. We'll be waiting there."
An hour later, the group waits near the docks. As Dragon's ship comes into view, they spot Ivankov accompanying him, adding a surprising twist to their reunion.
When Dragon's ship docks, he is surprised to see Woopslap there alongside Makino. As Dragon and Ivankov disembark, Ivankov greets Ash with flair, exclaiming, "Ash darling, how are you? And the lovely ladies, how do you do?"
Woopslap immediately starts ranting, pointing at Dragon. "Brat! What do you think you're doing taking these kids? They've already made up their minds to become pirates and tarnish the village's name! Now you're dragging them into your business? Haven't you brought enough trouble already? What does your old man think about all this?"
Dragon, unfazed by Woopslap's outburst, responds with a calm smile. "Good to see you too, Woopslap. You've gotten older." This only makes Woopslap grumble louder, but Dragon reassures him, "Don't worry. My old man knows, and I promise they'll be safe with me." Woopslap waves his hand dismissively. "Do whatever you want. I don't care anymore."
Ash and the girls laugh along with Dragon at Woopslap's grumbling. Makino steps forward, handing them a bag of snacks for their journey. "Take care of yourselves, and make sure to call whenever you can," she says, giving Ash and the girls her number.
With final goodbyes and waves to Makino and Woopslap, Ash, the girls, Dragon, and Ivankov board the ship. As they sail away, Makino waves warmly, while Woopslap mutters under his breath, watching the ship disappear into the horizon.
{}
On the ship, Lucy hops around, laughing excitedly, while Uta chases after her as Lucy starts a spontaneous game of tag. Ash and Selina chuckle as Lucy playfully teases Ace, prompting her to join in the chase with an irritated but amused expression.
Meanwhile, Dragon, after giving instructions to his crew, approaches Ash and asks, "So, what did my old man teach you? What have you been up to?" Selina eagerly begins recounting their experiences, with Ash adding details here and there.
Listening to their story, Dragon and Ivankov are astonished by everything the group has accomplished since Garp's departure. Dragon silently muses on how much of a prodigy these kids are, their monstrous potential evident.
Dragon then assures them, "I'll train you as much as I can once we get to our base."
Curious, Ash asks, "Where are we headed, and where is this base?" Though he has his suspicions, he wants to confirm them. Dragon replies, "It's called Baltigo, an island in the New World."
While Selina and Ash are deep in conversation with Dragon, Lucy, Uta, and Ace join in with curiosity. Selina asks Dragon, "New World? What's that?"
Dragon explains, "The New World is the second part of the Grand Line, the most dangerous stretch of ocean in the world. The first part of the Grand Line is called Paradise. It's a deceptive name because even though it's challenging, the pirates there are weaker compared to those in the New World. The Grand Line itself lies between two Calm Belts, where there's no wind or currents, making it a natural barrier. These Calm Belts are also infested with Sea Kings, massive sea creatures that discourage most from crossing them."
Lucy listens wide-eyed and exclaims, "Sugoi! Dad, I want to grow fast and start my own adventures!"
Dragon chuckles and continues his explanation, "Also there is the Red Line, which is massive, continuous strip of land that circles the entire world. It divides the seas into four parts: East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue. It also intersects with the Grand Line at two points, forming the entrances to Paradise and the New World. These points are unique barriers that separate the seas and make traveling between them nearly impossible without passing through the Grand Line."
As Dragon finishes his explanation, Ash comments, "So, the Celestial Dragons are at the top of the Red Line, correct?"
Dragon nods with a serious expression. Ash then asks, "Then how do you guys get through without the Marines detecting you?"
Dragon smirks slyly, replying, "You'll just have to wait and see."
Ivankov twirls dramatically and chimes in, "You're in for one hell of a ride, Ash-kun. So you guys sit and hold tight!"
Ash pouted slightly at Ivankov's teasing, prompting laughter from the girls. They enjoyed watching his reaction, the lighthearted mood easing the tension of their journey.
Over the next few days, Ash spent time bonding with the girls, sharing stories, and even attempting some fishing while basking in the sea breeze. The peaceful moments gave Ash time to reflect on their adventures and imagine the girls eventually embarking on their own.
After several days, the ship reached the base of Reverse Mountain, stopping briefly at a nearby small island to resupply. Ash observed as Dragon efficiently directed the crew, preparing for the climb. Excitement filled the air as Ash and the girls stood on deck, eagerly anticipating the upcoming ascent.
As the ship approached the powerful currents, it surged upward along the steep slope of Reverse Mountain. Lucy's infectious laughter echoed as the thrilling experience took hold, making everyone join in with grins and chuckles.
The sea roared around them, and the girls clung to the railings, marveling at the view. The feeling of rising higher and higher brought exhilaration and awe, leaving their hearts pounding with delight.
At the mountain's peak, Dragon leaped to the edge of the ship and unleashed "Dragon's Fist: Impact Wave", a powerful move that punched the sea with enough force to propel the ship airborne.
Ivankov joined in with "Death Wink", a burst of compressed air from their eyes that further boosted their momentum. Together, they redirected the ship mid-air towards the North Blue entrance of Reverse Mountain which surprises Ash.
Ash and the girls burst into laughter and cheers, thrilled by the exhilarating and unorthodox method of travel. The wind whipped past them as the ship flew through the air. With a mighty splash, it descended into the waters below.
To cushion the impact, Dragon used "Sea Surge Rebound", a technique creating a controlled wave to steady the ship's descent, while Ivankov added a final "Wink Wave" for stabilization.
The group erupted in joyous shouts, the rush of adrenaline leaving them breathless yet elated. They marveled at the unique journey, eager for the next adventure ahead.
As soon as the ship touched the water, Lucy jumped with excitement, shouting, "Sugoi! I want to do that again!" Her eyes sparkled with thrill, her hands mimicking the movements of flying through the air.
Dragon and Ivankov landed gracefully back on the ship, hearing Lucy's enthusiastic declaration. Dragon smirked as he approached, asking with a hint of pride, "So, how did you like the way we travel?"
Lucy, unable to contain her energy, bounced around, waving her arms dramatically to imitate the wild ride. "That was awesome, Dad!" she exclaimed. "It was like—whoosh! —and then boom! —and we were flying!" Her vivid gestures and sound effects drew laughter from everyone on deck, her joy infectious.
As the laughter died down, Ash turned to Dragon and asked, "So, where are we now?"
Dragon gestured to the vast sea around them. "We've entered the North Blue. From here, we'll be traveling across the Calm Belt to reach the New World."
Hearing this, Uta looked concerned. "Didn't you say the Calm Belt is filled with Sea Kings?" she asked hesitantly.
Dragon chuckled, his confidence reassuring. "Not to worry. As long as they're not disturbed, they won't bother us. And even if they do, I'm here to handle it."
The journey continued smoothly, and after a day of travel, they reached the edge of the Calm Belt. Dragon stood at the helm, focusing his energy. He executed another powerful move, propelling the ship forward across the still, mirror-like calm waters of the Calm Belt.
As the ship glided, Ash and the girls suddenly noticed enormous shapes rising from beneath the surface. Their eyes widened in awe as massive Sea Kings breached the water, their immense forms towering over the ship. The sheer size and majesty of the creatures left them speechless.
Lucy broke the silence with an excited gasp, "Wow! Those are huge! Way bigger than the sea beast near the dawn island!"
The girls nodded in agreement; their expressions filled with wonder. Even Ash couldn't help but marvel at the sight, realizing how much more impressive these creatures were in real life.
After several hours of navigating through the Calm Belt, the ship finally crossed into the open sea beyond, leaving the towering Sea Kings behind.
As Ash and the girls ventured deeper into the New World, they experienced firsthand the unpredictable and chaotic climate.
One moment, clear skies and calm seas surrounded them; the next, powerful winds and torrential rain lashed the ship. Thunderstorms rolled in suddenly, and the waves seemed determined to test their resolve.
Over the next few days, Ash observed Dragon leading his crew with steady confidence. Dragon's commanding presence was undeniable as he navigated the tumultuous waters, giving precise orders to his comrades.
In his hand, Ash noticed a glass like object—a spherical, glass-like snow-globe with a needle suspended inside it. The needle glowed faintly in the light, pointing unwaveringly in a single direction. Ash recognized it as an Eternal Log Pose, an invaluable tool for navigating the unpredictable islands of the New World.
After several days, an island finally came into view on the horizon. Its appearance was striking: jagged cliffs rose high above the ocean, their white-gray stone contrasting sharply with patches of dense greenery. A misty aura surrounded the island, giving it an air of mystery and secrecy.
As the ship approached, Ivankov stood beside Ash and the girls. With a dramatic flourish, Ivankov announced, "Welcome to Baltigo—the land of white soil and our Revolutionary Army base! Remember, darlings, this place is a secret. Don't go blabbing about it to anyone!"
The group stood in awe, taking in the imposing yet serene landscape of Baltigo, a place shrouded in both beauty and mystery.
The ship was carefully hidden inside a large coastal cave, camouflaged to blend seamlessly with the surrounding cliffs. Dragon's crew worked efficiently, ensuring no traces of their arrival could be spotted from the outside.
Once the ship was secure, the group disembarked. They began their trek through the rugged terrain of Baltigo, a land characterized by its stark, white soil. Jagged rock formations jutted into the sky, and a constant mist hung in the air, giving the island an enigmatic, otherworldly appearance.
The silence was broken only by the occasional chirping of unseen birds and the crunch of their footsteps on the white ground.
Lucy, as usual with her boundless energy, suddenly leapt onto Ash's back, declaring, "Piggyback time!" Laughing, Ash obliged, carrying her as she playfully directed him like a captain steering a ship. The others chuckled at their antics while continuing the walk.
After a short while, the group reached a sprawling base nestled within the island's rocky heart. The Revolutionary Army's headquarters was an impressive structure, built partially into the cliffs and surrounded by natural barriers. It exuded a sense of both security and ingenuity.
Dragon and Ivankov led the group through the base's entrance, navigating its bustling corridors filled with Revolutionary fighters and strategists. Finally, they arrived at Dragon's office, a spacious and modestly decorated room that radiated both authority and simplicity.
As Ash and the girls made their way through the headquarters, Ash couldn't help but observe the surroundings. The facility was vast, and though bustling with activity, he noticed something missing—he had yet to see the commanders who were supposed to have joined Dragon's cause. He considered the possibility that they were still out on missions or perhaps hadn't joined the Revolutionary Army just yet.
With Dragon's growing movement against the Celestial Dragons and the World Government which was not long, it made sense that not all of the commanders would be present yet. Ash was also hoping to meet Kola, but, sadly, it seems she wasn't around at this time.
When Dragon settled into his office, he turned to the group, offering them some rest after the long journey. He explained they would discuss their next steps tomorrow. Dragon then conveyed Ivankov to arrange rooms for everyone. Ivankov nodded and left to get everything ready.
Meanwhile, Lucy, full of curiosity, ran around Dragon's office, fascinated by the unfamiliar surroundings. Ace and Selina, more exhausted, found a quiet spot to relax. Ash took a moment to speak with Dragon, while Uta also quickly followed Lucy, the two of them sharing the same sense of wonder.
Ivankov returned after a while, letting them know the rooms were prepared. Ash and the girls bid Dragon farewell and followed Ivankov to their respective quarters. The girls were given one room to share, while Ash had a separate, single room nearby.
"Why does he get a separate room?" Lucy asked, clearly puzzled. Ivankov, tries to explain the situation, but their reasoning only confused her further. "But we sleep together at home!" she protested, with Uta nodding in agreement.
Ivankov sighed, "Dragon-san would have my head if I let you all sleep in the same room." Ash chuckled at the situation, reassured Lucy that he would be close by, and after some convincing, the girls reluctantly agreed to head to their rooms.
The anticipation of what tomorrow would bring kept them awake, each of them excited for what the future held as they settled into their rooms, eager for the adventures to come.
