One Piece - I'm Whitebeard

Akainu planned to use the Marine battleship fleet to break through the Whitebeard Pirates' formation and rely on the ships for both land and sea operations after landing.

"For justice!" 

Under Akainu's orders and slogans, the Marine soldiers' fighting spirit surged. All the warships united and attacked.

"Marco, what should we do now? The Marines are rushing over, and their protective shields are tough to deal with," Jozu asked solemnly.

"Stop chasing!" Akainu ordered decisively as the Marines were about to pursue the Whitebeard Pirates on land

"Why? The Whitebeard Pirates were defeated in the first battle. This is the time to pursue them," Kizaru said, puzzled.

"This is probably Whitebeard's strategy. If he set a trap on the way back, we'd fall right into it," Akainu explained.

"Whitebeard is known for his power. Is it possible that he is also good at arranging tactics?" Fujitora asked curiously.

"Although I don't know much about Whitebeard yet, his actions show he's not just a reckless fighter. We need to proceed carefully."

After explaining his reasoning, Akainu ordered the Marines to rest. 

These were Marine's elite forces, and overusing them could weaken the Marine combat power.

The Marines rested on the shore as planned. Akainu believed the Whitebeard Pirates couldn't escape and was determined to make them pay a price for this actiob.

"Whitebeard, I hope you show up in the next battle. You defeated Kaido and Big Mom—how about facing two Admirals and a Fleet Admiral?" Akainu said, shaking his magma fists.

The Marines rested on the inner coast of Wano, while the Whitebeard Pirates retreated to a plain and made camp.

"Marine isn't chasing us. Let's rest here. If they do come after us, we'll fight them here," 

Marco said as he flew in from the sky. He had been observing from above and hadn't seen any sign of the Marines.

The plain is sparsely populated due to its proximity to a factory, which has polluted the area. Currently, there are no residents, but there may be villages in the future.

They can't let the war affect the people, so they must fight a decisive battle here. However, this retreat has put them in a difficult position.

Through their confrontation with the Marines, they realized the strength of Marine equipment far exceeds ordinary combat power, and the Marines have more numbers as well.

More importantly, several of their commanders and fleet captains were injured in this battle.

Charles Vane, Tesla, Sanjuan Wolf, Benjamin, and other core commanders, along with many ordinary captains, were injured while defending against laser attacks.

Benjamin, as the chief of staff of the Whitebeard Pirates, is almost the decision-maker when Whitebeard isn't around.

Benjamin was severely injured and now lying with the other wounded. 

Although he received treatment, he couldn't participate in the battle for some time.

 This situation had lowered the morale of the Whitebeard Pirates.

Aokiji, looking regretful, shook his head and said, "It's not that simple. This seems to be a new Marine Admiral who appears is powerful. We don't know their specific abilities or if they have any Devil Fruit powers."

If Marine wants to keep information about its Admiral confidential, and neither the media nor newspapers disclose these details. 

Therefore, Aokiji can't effectively counter the enemy without knowing their strengths and abilities.

At that time, Ryokugyu acted quickly, and Aokiji couldn't intervene in time. He only managed to briefly block Ryokugyu from Benjamin. 

Fortunately, Tesla had his own defenses, or he might have been killed.

"Did Oyaji deliberately test us? He didn't show up this time, and we're facing an unprecedented crisis. Oyaji must be very disappointed," Jinbei sighed.

"A Marine Admiral has appeared, and the one hiding in the dark is likely the Blind Old Man or Kizaru. They shouldn't attack us immediately. Aokiji, handle Ryokugyu. Enel, deal with the Marine Vice Admirals and cover the others."
