----------

Queen Otohime returned to Fish-Man Island with excitement.

The Marines were unaware of the specific persuasion efforts happening on the island.

Akira wasn't concerned with understanding the situation; his mind was entirely focused on making money.

He didn't expect any surprises.

First of all, Otohime is incredibly persuasive.

Secondly, in addition to her ability to listen to the hearts of others, her natural Observation Haki that day also allowed her to influence people's thoughts through her speeches.

To some extent, this is also very practical.

The key is this!

The deep desire of every Fish-Man is to live openly in the sea, swimming and playing freely under the sun.

In the past, there was no hope, and no possibility of achieving this dream.

Every Fish-Man would close themselves off, refusing to communicate with humans, content to confine their lives to a corner of Fish-Man Island.

But now!

A Fleet Admiral from the immensely powerful human society at sea personally guaranteed it.

Just think, in the past 800 years, the Fish-Men had never had such a high-ranking person speak on their behalf.

How could they not seize this opportunity?

In short.

It was the third day after Queen Otohime left.

A large number of Fish-Man warriors suddenly surfaced at Marineford.

"Willing to serve under Fleet Admiral Akira!"

"Willing to serve under Fleet Admiral Akira!"

The Fish-Man warriors raised their hands, shouting so passionately that the veins in their necks bulged.

Their loud cries echoed throughout the skies of Marineford.

The gathered Marines watched the scene, stunned.

Akira saw it too.

He stood by the window, looking out at the sea with a slight smile.

"Go!"

"Go across the world, to the humans threatened by pirates."

"Convey the goodwill of your people!"

In East Blue.

"Captain, Marines have been spotted."

From the observation deck, covered with canvas, a pirate poked his head out and shouted down below.

The pirates, who had been carelessly drinking the supplies they'd just stolen, were startled for a moment, then quickly got up.

"Damn it, why do we keep running into Marines so often these days?"

"It's too much, why are these guys so tough?"

"I guess they just found a new Devil Fruit user, so they came out to show off."

The pirates drew their swords one after another, their faces full of irritation.

It had been nearly half a year since they set sail.

At first, being big-time pirates was great—they treated the whole sea and the entire world like their own backyard.

All the honest folks gave them whatever they wanted.

But then things started to change.

Not only did the Marines become bolder, but they also began patrolling the seas more frequently, leaving their bases.

They ran into warships several times and even had their ship destroyed once.

If it weren't for the captain's quick thinking, telling everyone to jump into the sea and later stumble upon a merchant ship, they wouldn't have survived.

Otherwise, the Black Fox Pirates would've been wiped out by now.

"Ever since that damn Shinma took over as Marine Fleet Admiral, life's been hell for us," one pirate spat into the sea, his voice bitter.

The others nodded in agreement, their faces filled with hatred.

Just then, a man who looked like a fox emerged from the cabin.

He walked to the bow and eyed the approaching warship with disdain.

"Testing new Devil Fruit users? The method to counter those abilities has already spread across the sea."

"Vice-captain!" he shouted.

The vice-captain, with a large sword and a revolver strapped to his waist, immediately stepped forward.

"Take the crew, dive into the sea, and blow up their warship."

"I'll speed up the ship and draw their fire."

Without a word, the vice-captain led his men, carrying explosives wrapped in special tarpaulin, and dove into the seawater.

The pirate ship accelerated rapidly, and distance closed.

At the same time, shells were fired mid-air towards the enemy.

Boom, boom, boom.

The sea surface erupted in waves.

The mist from the explosions somewhat obscured the view between the two ships.

"Captain, look over there..."

Suddenly, the navigator pointed at the distant seawater and shouted.

The captain quickly looked in that direction.

What he saw sent a chill down his spine.

Under the surface, three extremely fast figures were moving like shadows.

One of them was clearly heading towards the vice-captain and the diving crew.

The other two were coming straight for them.

In the eyes of everyone aboard, there was noticeable movement beneath the water's surface, but it stopped after just a few seconds.

The next moment, the sea turned bright red with blood.

The bodies of the vice-captain and the crew floated up.

A Fish-Man emerged from the water, grinning at them.

The captain and the pirates stood there, stunned.

"Wait, wait, that's a Fish-Man? Weren't there two more just now?"

The captain was the first to snap out of it.

A cold sweat broke out on his back as he jumped up and shouted, "Quick, fire the cannon! Shoot at the water—don't let those Fish-Men get close!"

There was no time for the captain to ponder why there were suddenly Fish-Men on the Marine warship.

He quickly issued orders based on his own experience.

But alas!

The speed of the Fish-Men in the sea is unmatched.

Like humans sliding down a water slide, by the time they realized what was happening, the other two Fish-Men had already closed in.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The ship suddenly vibrated, and the sound of loud bombardments echoed from the keel below.

"Captain, something's wrong! Our ship..."

A pirate ran out from below deck, his voice shrill with fear, "It's going to sink!"

As he spoke, the ship gradually tilted to one side, and everyone scrambled to grab hold of the nearest sturdy objects.

The captain looked around frantically, feeling the air leave his lungs.

It all happened so fast.

Before he could even process it, his ship was already scuttled and about to sink to the bottom of the sea.

Not far away, the Marine warship continued its steady approach, the soldiers on deck watching as if they were witnessing a show, calm and composed.

On the surface of the sea, the three Fish-Men regrouped, flashing "ferocious" smiles like Shinigami waiting for their prey to fall into the water.

It was clear: once the pirates hit the water, it was all over.

Who could possibly outswim a Fish-Man in the sea?

"Dammit, what the hell is going on?" the pirate captain shouted to the sky in despair, before sinking into the sea with his ship.

In his final moments, he caught a glimpse of a Fish-Man swimming past him, followed by the sight of a headless body floating upward.

'How strange, that body looks so familiar...'

This thought flashed through his mind just before he lost consciousness.

"It was so easy, we didn't even have a chance to fire a shot."

On the warship, many soldiers looked at the blood-stained sea, watching one corpse after another float to the surface, and couldn't help but express their amazement.

It could be said that today was the easiest battle they had ever fought.

Without lifting a finger, the Fish-Men warriors took care of everything.

"Too strong. We're lucky they're our righteous comrades-in-arms."

"Otherwise..."

Whatever they imagined, it made everyone shudder.

Scenes like this were unfolding all over the world.

Pirates who encountered Marine warships head-on tried to use their usual tactics to push the Marines back.

But they never expected there would be different numbers of Fish-Men warriors lurking beneath the waves.

On this day, the number of pirate ships drastically decreased.

The wails of the pirates echoed across the seas.

Even when a powerful pirate managed to defeat the Fish-Men fighters, the Marines on the warship remained unconcerned.

They simply ordered the retreating Fish-Men to protect the warship from below and then unleashed a barrage of explosive shells.

The mighty pirates were instantly obliterated.

With such coordinated efforts, Marine's advantages continued to grow.

The momentum of the Great Pirate Era was steadily being contained.
