Rusukaina, an uninhabited island northwest of Amazon Lily.

Located not far from the main island of the Kuja, this remote place is home to countless beasts—wild creatures unlike any found elsewhere in the world, not even on the Grand Line. Due to its unique position in the Calm Belt, the beasts of this island possess strength so immense that they could "pose significant trouble even for Naval Headquarters generals."

Ordinarily, the most powerful of these beasts hold dominion over their territories, their ranks determined by sheer might. Though they are confined to the Calm Belt and unable to venture into the broader seas, they reign as undisputed lords over this uninhabited land.

But today, something was different...

"Boom!!!"

With a deafening roar, violent thunder erupted in the heart of the island. 

"Crack! Crack! Boom!"

Even more terrifying, the thunder wasn't alone—it was entwined with countless bolts of violent black and purple lightning. Unlike any natural storm, these black and purple bolts exuded a fearsome energy, so intense it made the atmosphere shudder and the very sky tremble.

The thunder and lightning twisted together in a chaotic dance, emitting earth-shattering roars that seemed to tear apart the heavens. Above the island, a massive rift appeared in the sky, its sheer size enough to strike terror into the hearts of anyone who saw it.

And then—

"Whoosh!"

"Shriek!"

A swirling sandstorm arose, filling the sky. Amidst it, a vermilion bird-like figure darted across the horizon. Cloaked in darkness, a graceful figure—draped entirely in black, as if encased in impenetrable armor—charged toward the violent storm that had torn the sky asunder.

"Boom!!!"

The moment the figure collided with the storm, a cataclysmic noise shook the entire island, sending out shockwaves that could obliterate everything in their path. These waves radiated outward, forming spherical ripples of destruction.

Everything caught in their path was reduced to ash.

The island's former rulers, the once-fearsome beasts, huddled together in terror, clinging even to the bodies of their old enemies. They could only watch in horror as the shockwaves drew closer.

And then—

"Buzz! Crack! Boom!!!"

An explosion of unimaginable force erupted, and the black and purple lightning, crackling with menace, seemed to gain a life of its own. It expanded, filling the sky like a tidal wave, a force so overwhelming that it dwarfed the previous shockwaves. If the thunder had been like the rising tide, then this lightning was an endless, unforgiving ocean.

The devastating power threatened to consume the island itself. Yet, in comparison to the immense energy stored in the black and purple lightning, the shockwaves seemed "like a child's flickering flame beside the blazing moon."

"Buzz!"

In an instant, the black and purple lightning, as if guided by invisible hands, began to converge. It wove itself together to form a massive spherical barrier, enveloping the shockwaves within. As it shrank, the barrier dissolved the destructive ripples upon contact, absorbing the force without resistance—like streams flowing quietly into the vastness of the ocean.

The raw power contained within the black and purple sphere was far beyond that of the shockwaves, easily neutralizing them.

"Whoosh!"

After disintegrating the last of the shockwaves, the barrier broke apart, releasing the black and purple lightning back into the sky, where it dissipated into the atmosphere.

"Phew..."

The beasts of the island, vicious creatures capable of killing even the grand line supernovas, exhaled in relief. Their eyes shone with gratitude—they had survived another day.

"Uuuuuuuuu...."

Once fearsome, these creatures now cowered like frightened kittens, clinging to one another and whimpering in terror. What was once their kingdom had become a prison of fear. Ever since this mysterious group arrived on the island, they had been driven to the island's outskirts, their former freedom reduced to trembling at the edge.

But what terrified them most was the young man leading the group.

The very thought of him sent shivers down their spines, their eyes widening in fear. How could such an impossibly powerful person exist?

"Hey! What are you all standing around for? Get over here, now!"

A voice rang out, startling the beasts.

"!!!"

Upon hearing that familiar voice, cold sweat broke out across their bodies. Instantly, they pushed their limits, sprinting toward the island's center with all their might.

"Hahaha, these guys can actually handle the work!" Rayleigh laughed as he watched the scene before him. Enormous lions, elephants, and orangutans were hauling massive logs and stones, skillfully restoring the center of the island that had been shattered by the shock wave.

"They may be a bit weak, but their strength is still useful," Ace said, glancing at the beasts now repurposed as laborers, chuckling at the sight.

The beasts' expressions were hard to describe.

Weak? How could they be weak?

They weren't weak—rather, the man before them was the one who's terrifying!

Yet, in the eyes of these ferocious creatures, there was not just fear but also a hint of excitement. Although they were being treated as mere laborers by this man, the benefits of his power were undeniable.

The strange energy Ace had wrapped around them had significantly enhanced both their intelligence and strength.

Now, they could easily defeat their former enemies!

Of course, even with this newfound power, they were nothing more than pets before Ace's overwhelming might.

"Hey, Cat, I'm leaving tonight's dinner to you, okay?" Ace called out to a massive lion nearby.

The giant lion obediently knelt before Ace, allowing him to pet it.

"Raa!" the lion whimpered, looking up at Ace with a submissive gaze.

Ace smiled, watching the enormous lion. There was a certain appeal to having such a large cat at his side—it wasn't hard to see why wealthy people in his previous life on earth liked to keep lions and tigers as pets.

Of course, this particular lion was no ordinary beast—it was the king of predators, a creature that could even hunt down a Tyrannosaurus rex.

With a splash, the giant lion dove into the sea.

Meanwhile, a colossal orangutan sat on the shore, holding a massive sword, waiting.

"DA!"

"Boom!"

Moments later, the calm sea erupted as a massive Sea King, a thousand meters long, leaped out of the water, roaring in agony. The giant lion had its fangs buried deep in the Sea King's neck, sending fountains of blood spraying everywhere.

What was most astonishing was that the lion's claws and fangs had turned pitch black with Armament Haki.

"Whoosh!"

At that moment, the orangutan on the shore leaped into the air, brandishing the giant sword, which was also coated in a layer of black energy. With a powerful swing, the blade sliced through the Sea King.

"Slash! Boom!"

In an instant, the Sea King's massive head separated from its body and crashed onto the shore. The rest of the enormous body fell lifelessly into the sea, sending towering waves into the sky.

"DA!"

Together, the giant lion and orangutan dragged the thousand-meter-long Sea King onto the island. Then, the lion disappeared back into the ocean.

With Ace and the others' monstrous appetites, even a Sea King of that size wouldn't last long!

"What a convenient ability," Rayleigh remarked as he observed the scene through Observation Haki. "These beasts can dive into the sea, catch huge Sea Kings, and even wield weapons."

In the Calm Belt, the seas were full of enormous Sea Kings. These fearsome creatures, often thousands of meters long, were so dangerous that before the Marines developed seastone warships, they served as a natural barrier for Amazon Lily, preventing any invasion.

This fact alone demonstrated how terrifying the Sea Kings were.

Even though the Kuja Pirates and their massive serpents could freely enter and exit the Calm Belt, hunting a Sea King was no simple task.

Originally, these beasts—once the uncontested kings of the land—had no hope of fighting such monsters of the sea. Even in the New World, few creatures could rival them. But venturing into the ocean to face the true rulers of the sea was suicide.

However, under the influence of Ace's mysterious ability, their power and intelligence had greatly increased. Some had even begun to wield Armament Haki!

Now, these beasts could work together to capture the enormous, solitary Sea Kings. The most powerful among them could even wield weapons, turning them into formidable fighters.

Even if they faced a Marine Vice Admiral, the outcome would no longer be certain.

"It's all thanks to Nami's Observation Haki," Ace said with a smile. "If a group of Sea Kings attacks, her Conqueror's Haki can drive them away."

While the combat abilities of the beasts had improved tremendously under Ace's influence, their movements were still restricted in the water. Against a group of Sea Kings, they would undoubtedly be overwhelmed.

The sea was vast, and even Ace's Observation Haki couldn't cover large areas.

But Nami, with her Observation Haki enhanced by the awakened Goro Goro no Mi (Thunder Fruit), could easily monitor the seas and keep them safe.

If any of the beasts in the sea encountered multiple large Sea Kings, Nami could easily drive them away by releasing her Conqueror's Haki from a distance.

This combination made it effortless for Ace and the others to feast on the meat of massive Sea Kings, packed with endless nutrients.

"You've really thought this through for these beasts, Ace," Robin remarked, her red lips curling into a slight smile.

Granting these beasts the ability to use Armament Haki took considerable effort, even for Ace with his Realm of Comprehension.

"Of course," Ace replied, a faint grin playing at the corners of his mouth. "These beasts possess physical strength that even giants can't match. Once they learn to wield Armament Haki, their potential is enormous."

Cats, he thought, were naturally at the pinnacle of many species, born as pure hunters standing atop the food chain. The physical power of the orangutans and elephants was even more formidable.

While humans surpassed beasts because of their ability to use tools, the same principle applied in the pirate world. Without weapons or Haki, even the mightiest giants would be vulnerable.

But under Ace's Realm of Comprehension, everything changed.

Those beasts that could stand upright now wielded weapons, while those that couldn't still mastered Armament Haki. Although they lacked the intelligence to use Observation Haki—even with Ace's full influence—being able to utilize Armament Haki alone was more than enough.

There, a graceful figure stood, clad in sleek black armor with no gaps, her presence commanding. When Kaya heard Ace call her name, she quickly dispelled the Haki armor, revealing her angelic face, which lit up with a smile.

"Ace!" she called out, running lightly to him.

As she nestled into his arms, Ace smiled softly, gently touching her. 

"We'll have them ready by tonight," Kaya said, raising her face and rubbing against Ace's palm affectionately.

"Well done," Ace replied. "With those medicines, it won't be long before they start producing plenty of cubs."

His gaze shifted to the ferocious beasts, a small smile playing on his lips, causing them to shudder.

Kaya had developed a new drug to accelerate the reproduction of these powerful beasts. Although they were fierce predators at the top of the food chain, their reproduction rates were incredibly slow—far too slow to meet Ace's needs.

Ace's goal was to create a corps of beasts, each capable of wielding Haki, with physical strength surpassing even that of giants.

At that moment, Nami, Vivi, and Raki returned, retracting their Haki as they ran toward Ace, excitedly calling out his name.
